- [FO] My Geiger Cardigan is finally done!
On loving and designing for my body | happy 2020 my loves! My eyes are filling with tears as I write 🙈 you see the sweater Im wearing?! Its called the Gentle Cardigan, a pattern I designed for @purlsoho and modeled too! This is a size inclusive pattern to fit a 36 to 71 chest. It brings me so much joy to share this project with you. Ive always had a complicated relationship with my body. When I turned 12 years old I was wearing a C cup and soon it was 34DDD. As I grew into my full figure finding clothes that complimented my hips, bust & proportions was frustrating. It became a lot easier when I learned my actual bra size and how to shop for my curves. When I started designing knitwear my whole life changed and I realized we have the power to change the clothing industry by making and supporting handmade. The Gentle Cardigan is one of those staples for me now a sweater that makes me feel cozy and at home in my body. Seamless with soft decreases to extenuate our waistline, clean raglan lines that drapes loosely along the shoulders and its open at the bust line. The yarn is Purl Soho Gentle Giant, a soft super bulky merino.
