He/ she has gone through our trash and attacked a few animals in the creek bed that runs right behind our home... literally 50 feet from our back door. After hearing he/ she kill an animal back there last week… (Pretty remarkable to hear that right outside your back door at 1 o’clock in the morning.) I went back there the following morning to investigate to see if I can find remnants of the attack. I slipped on a drainage or sewage pipe that runs across the top of the creek and plunged about 15 feet down into the creek bed onto a fluffy pile of ivy vines and leaves. Today marks 1 year that @doctorlaurenbecker has been at 1182 Broadway sharing space with @coresmiles. This first text with @michaelgulizio was after our first meeting on January 23rd. I found myself at a loss for words, hence the reason for the delayed post. John Inserras passing is unfathomable, it’s brutally, painfully and sinfully unfair especially when it strikes someone with so much more life to live. We will forever endure the crushing gravity of his absence. We will remember how he was always available, accountable, and adorably ready to help anyone, anyone. John was the kindest friend to all with better legs than most. He did an unmeasurable amount for Body Chemistry Fitness, Xtreme Fitness and everyone who walked through the doors. We will be forever grateful. For this is why the motley crew of friends he collected and cultivated, who loved him dearly are profoundly changed by his loss. We have all come together for his family with support and love. If there is anything I’ve learned from the passing of my friend, it is that time is truly precious. Today would have been my moms birthday. Every year it comes like a sucker punch 🥊 to my gut. As I was looking over photos of her last night I realized what a testament her entire life was to the power of human will. From being told she would never walk, to the countless “you have one week/month/ days to life” or the suggested pre- surgery good byes by the doctors. The photos I have of my mom are filled with celebration, they are filled with accomplishment and triumphs, they are the ultimate 🖕🏼 to words such as “can’t” or “shouldn’t”. I used to look at these photos and think of the pain and suffering that accompanied her entire life. But now my minds lens has seemingly refocused to see the celebration in every step she took, to welcoming anyone who needed care into our home, to making it all the way to Colorado to hug me after graduation, to opening her eyes after yet another surgery, to planning unnecessarily large parties to raise money for charities and schools. She was stubborn, she was driven, and she was one hell of a spirit. I am blessed to have shared in her incredible life... and even more grateful to continue to celebrate that life every day of my own. Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Joe Montana and his wife, Jennifer, stopped a home intruder from allegedly kidnapping their 9-month-old grandchild over the weekend, officials said. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Montana, 64, told deputies a woman entered his mansion in Malibu, California, around 5 p.m. on Sept. 26, picked up the baby from a playpen and went upstairs. The couple tried to “de-escalate the situation”, but they got into a “tussle”. Mrs. Montana was able to get the child out of the suspect’s arms the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
