Bliss is the natural state of the soul. We do not cause blissfulness, any more than we cause the Sun to shine. Just like sugar is naturally sweet; we do not add sweetness to sugar, its sweet by its very nature. Similarly, our blissfulness is always there within our hearts, but it becomes covered by the dense, material atmosphere in which we are now living. If we identify ourselves with matter, (falsely thinking, I am this body) then we become fearful, because matter is temporary, and we are eternal. Therefore our material thinking creates an incompatible situation in the mind, which gives rise to so many false concepts like racism, sexism, and every other ism. This is called Maya, or illusion. Under the spell of Maya, the living entity carries its different false conceptions of life from one body to the next, life after life, just as a breeze carries aromas. Therefore, the principal aim of any yogic practice or meditation is to re-awaken our original state of being, which is Sat, Cid, Ananda. Do you often get judged for the choices you make in your spiritual journey and life in general? It is not always easy to make a decision. But each individual has the right to choose their own path to awakening. Everybodys past karma is different. their current life and circumstances are different. The people surrounding them are different. Their experiences are different. And hence the journey they choose for themselves is also different. But the destination is the same. That is spiritual awakening. And getting free from the worldly troubles. For some life or medical or health challenges make them grow spiritually to reach their goal. For some they face challenging relationships and difficult people around them which help them grow. And for some it is continuous work to make oneself better. For me meditation is the path. Janvier 2015 : il y a pile 5 ans, je rentrais du Myanmar. Ce pays mavait éblouie par lhospitalité de ses habitants et sa lumière si particulière. Jai eu envie de ressortir les photos ! Celle-ci correspond à lun de mes souvenirs les plus marquants de ce voyage : la Fête de la pagode Ananda à Bagan. On a atterri là un jour de pleine lune, sans savoir que cétait un moment très particulier. En effet, chaque année à la mi-janvier, la pagode sanime : des centaines de moines viennent lors de ce festival recevoir les offrandes des villageois. Dès 5h du matin, ils se placent en file indienne vêtus de leur habit rouge et se voient offrir riz, argent, fruits, biscuits ou encore produits dhygiène (check le tube de dentifrice dans la main du jeune moine !).
