𝘈𝘳𝘵 : 𝘝𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘨 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘥, @gregsandartist Swipe - Or read below : I. On fall. On falling. A God holds my love and won’t let go, who knows as much as I do what it is, and maybe we don’t want the same things. A god keeps my love at the end of his palm and I a smokeless gaze, waiting for when it falls – when it falls, I do too. Maybe that’s where it comes from - fall. We stain ourselves with the clumsiness of cheap ink, and slip letters under our pillows and call it a dream. And maybe it is, the gods know better. Maybe all this patience is but me gasping each time I smudge away a little more love from my poems. Maybe this goes on till at last I reek of slow, sad ballads and you finally flinch. Maybe I wait for the sun to slip a little more yellow into this earth so like pretty omens you fall to find me - maybe fall then, is another word for my love breaking against yours and the gods turning their heads to see. II. Fall – burning ache in the yellow of the sun and calling it love, after Burning twigs and paper never feels enough, burning never feels enough, that is to say, burn a twig and you’ll look for more twigs, burn a piece of paper and you’ll look for more paper – burn a part of you and you’ll look for more places to burn at, more ways to love, that is. So love then, is but ache I put on fire, hoping for some warmth, but I forget we call such places pits. III. Fall – silences My silence breaks nobody - healing isn’t poetic, pain is, and poems don’t die. Why else do we press death that no more flutters between pages and pull poems out of it. - shagnik - @shagnik on Instagram

~Heights~ Standing at the centre of the terrace about 20 meters above the ground. Fast strong winds blowing against my face. Loud slow music in my ears. I was feeling it all. I wanted to fly, to reach higher & feel something more. . I, already afraid of heights, seldom dared to go on a venture to look down the railings or even walk towards them. But as the mind was in that moment, wanting to feel everything in its entirety, I started walking towards the railing. Scared. Screaming again, telling me to stop and telling me to walk. Imagining scenarios. How far am I? How high am I literally? How does it feel to look down there? I seem to have forgotten. . Reached, hands clasped tight to the railing. Eyes looking all the way up in the sky. I closed them. Calmed myself. Stopped the screams and the scenarios and everything for a moment. Just the pleasure of feeling everything except fear was left. I collected myself, looked down, and again everything that I was scared of started to come back. . I pushed myself back. Breathing a little harder than before. Sat down on the floor. Talked to myself, its okay. But will it ever be? You might wonder what I saw down there. A body. Lying in a pool of blood as if it had fallen from a height of not less than 20 meters. It had the same clothes as me. I wont describe it more. Its choking. . Being lonely and being alone are definitely different. But being lonely and alone, is a different realm altogether. Not everyone can handle it. But isnt life about living off the stuff that kills us. Serenity in chaos is what were all searching while causing more chaos unintentionally. . Death is the easiest way out. And I dont wanna go easy. This feeling, is to live for. The extremes of it, are elating. And these elated states of emotional heights wont scare you. The emotions connected, when felt, take you to a universe unexplored. . Yes, I wanna live them out & so should you.
