Dlaczego nie liczę to osobny temat. W każdym razie tamtej nocy dostałem nagle ogromnej gorączki a moje ciśnienie wzrosło do wartości około 220/160. Już kilka dni czułem się źle, sądziłem, że to jakaś grypa. Jednak tej nocy nic nie było w stanie zbić ani gorączki, ani ciśnienia, więc zostałem przetransportowany do szpitala. Czekając po zarejestrowaniu się i po pobraniu krwi sądziłem, że umieram. Głowa dosłownie mi pękała z bólu, jakby kilkanaście osób wwiercało się w nią wiertarkami. Po jakichś trzydziestu minutach zobaczyłem dwie pielęgniarki zmierzające w moim kierunku z wózkiem dla osób niepełnosprawnych i kroplówką. Prawie biegły. Nie do końca rozumiałem i wszystko działo się jak przez mgłę. Posadziły mnie na wózek i szybko przewiozły gdzieś do innej sali, w której podłączyły mnie pod kroplówkę i kazały wypić gęsty, okropny w smaku płyn. Pytałem, co się dzieje, ale nie odpowiadały. A może odpowiadały, nie jestem pewny, bo wiertła przybierały na sile. Czułem także swoje serce, które dosłownie galopowało sprawiając, że poskakiwała mi delikatnie podkoszulka. Nie kłamię. Z małego cienia, strach przybierał z każdą chwilą coraz większych rozmiarów, ale cały czas starałem się być dobrej myśli sadząc, że to jakaś pomyłka. Po zaaplikowaniu kroplówki, poborze kolejnych probówek mojej krwi i wypiciu płynu, którego posmak czuję do dnia dzisiejszego pielęgniarki zawiozły mnie wciąż na wózku na oddziałową pustą salę z trzema łóżkami i kazały leżeć i czekać. Tak zrobiłem. Chwilę potem przyszedł lekarz. Powiedział coś, czego nigdy nie zapomnę. Moje nerki przestały pracować, przekroczony dwukrotnie normę potas powinien był mnie zabić. Mówię do M.B. : - chętnie bym zawalczył... z kimkolwiek, w jakiejkolwiek formule. - po chwili namysłu odpowiada - robię galę, ale to boks i w Twojej wadze jest Łukasz Wierzbicki (18-1)... ale on zrobiłby sobie z Ciebie przyrządy. - przemilczałem. Przemilczałem, ale chyba nie przetrawiłem. Nikt, nigdy nie zrobił ze mnie przyrządów. Nikt. Nigdy. Jest tu kilka osób, które wiedzą o czym mówię. Moja sportowa duma nie przyjęła tego stwierdzenia 😈 Nie jest to wyzwanie, raczej spontanicznie przemyślenia.
