My thoughts and energy are with those risking their bodies and health and lives tonight and every day and night marching out on the front lines. I know if I wasn’t sick I’d be out there. I know if I had the ability to run if needed, I’d be out there. But putting my body in a protest wouldn’t just be a danger to me because it’s a danger to everyone...protesters KNOW this, they don’t need to be told. But I’d be a hazard to everyone around me and so I stay in. Just watching the best of us fighting for the rest of us even when all hope seems lost. Even when people say go home, enough, this is pointless, etc. Good trouble isn’t made in vain. I watched @naacp on IG live tonight and @tiffanydloftin was having a bunch of guests pop on and just make some kind of sense of things and one of the last things she said stuck out at me. “Do not discourage people from protesting”. First of all she explained that there are reasons not everyone is out in the streets including folks who are immunocompromised, undocumented people, and people that have criminal records like it’s just not safe, so that was cool. But also to make sure you know who’s hosting a protest! Don’t go a “willy-nilly” (😂) seriously you have to know who you’re marching with but when you do. Wow. What an opportunity. Communities are being built from this heap of ashes. Tabitha Brown said it today, too. These lives lost were not in vain. They started a movement to change the world. So again. All my love and support to protesters. You will never hear me demonize them or call people looters or rioters or whateverthefuck ever makes them sound like the danger. They are PROTESTING THE DANGER. They’re (largely) not doing anything wrong. Will there be some bad apples. Yeah I guess. Does that mean give up? No. Safety be with you all. Protest safe and smart and come home to us. And ffs...EVERYBODY VOTEEEE. - @dollierocker on Instagram

Hoy, sabemos que la homosexualidad es un fenómeno común y generalizado en el mundo animal. No solo relaciones sexuales de corta duración, sino también relaciones duraderas; asociaciones que pueden incluso durar toda la vida. La exhibición mostraba una pequeña selección de las cerca de 1500 especies en las que se ha observado homosexualidad. Esta fascinante historia de la vida secreta de los animales se contaba a través de modelos, fotos, textos y especímenes. ¿Pero cómo podemos saber que un animal es homosexual? ¿Cómo puede el comportamiento homosexual ser consistente con lo que hemos aprendido sobre la evolución y el darwinismo? ENG - On Thursday October 12, 2006, the Museum of Natural History at the University of Oslo opened the first exhibition dedicated to gay animals, curated by Geir Soeli. Today, we know that homosexuality is a common and widespread phenomenon in the animal world. Not only short-term sexual intercourse, but also long-term relations; associations that can even last a lifetime. The exhibit featured a small selection of the nearly 1,500 species in which homosexuality has been observed. This fascinating story of the secret life of animals was told through models, photos, texts and specimens. But how can we know that an animal is homosexual? How can homosexual behavior be consistent with what we have learned about evolution and Darwinism? Unfortunately, most museums have no traditions for asking difficult, unspoken, and possibly controversial questions. Homosexuality is certainly one of those questions.
