Só as vezes… ⠀ Tem dias que eu acordo fazendo festa! 🎊 Tem dias que eu quero desenhar na testa: “me deixem no meu canto. Eu não preciso estar o tempo todo feliz!”. Chorar faz bem! Já chorei de tristeza, de dor, de raiva, de alegria. Homem também chora. E às vezes quer alguém pra chorar com a gente do nosso lado. Quer dar colo e também receber. Cafuné. Abraço demorado. Ser abraçado e acalmado mesmo quando perde a razão. Quer alguém que não ponha gasolina na discussão. Não precisa estar de TPM para se emocionar. Já fiquei louco de raiva e também já me descabelei de tristeza e ansiedade (literalmente kkk). Às vezes a gente quer ver o outro crescer no nosso tempo. Já chorei por ter tentado mudar uma pessoa e não ter conseguido. Já fui consolar alguém e acabei chorando mais. E ali no meio das lágrimas tal qual um cientista 💡 iluminado por sua “Eureca”...descobri uma chave que finalmente virava e abria portas dentro de mim: “Sou eu que preciso olhar tudo de um jeito novo. Sem pressa comigo e sem pressa com os outros.” Vivemos tempos em que tudo precisa ser GRANDIOSO. Na sociedade do espetáculo os pequenos passos dentro do coração da gente não tem o mesmo espaço que os gritos dos palestrantes motivacionais dos grupos de WhatsApps ou das propagandas de marketing digital. Na moral? Viva suas emoções! O coração também tem sua sabedoria. ⠀ O choro pode equalizar a gente. Então não segura! Seja o choro...o riso...o grito...e o consolo pra alguém e pra si mesmo também! Vai ter dias de chuva e inverno, dias de sol e verão. Vai ter dia que será a mistura de cada estação! Você não precisa estar o tempo todo triste! Você não precisa estar o tempo todo feliz! The exact origins of the Mexican-American term “Pachuco” are hard to pin down, but one of the most famous Pachucos in history would have to be Tin Tan. Today’s animated Doodle celebrates the actor, singer, and comedian who got his start in the nightclubs of Ciudad Juarez, just south of the Rio Grande, and went on to redefine a misunderstood youth culture. Born in Mexico City on this day in 1915, Germán Genaro Cipriano Gómez Valdés de Castillo, also known as Tin Tan, helped to popularize the Mexican-American Pachuco. Known for their streetwise swagger and “zoot suits,” Tin Tan’s Pachuco characters were a variation on the “tramp” often portrayed by Mexican film actor Cantinflas. Often accompanied by Marcelo Chávez on guitar, Tin Tan appeared alongside the actress Famie Kaufman, also known as Vitola, though legend has it that he kissed more leading ladies than any actor in history. His performance in films like the musical comedy Calabacitas Tiernas helped popularize the dialect known as caló, a mixture of Spanish and English spoken along the border. Besides appearing in more than 100 films, Tin Tan also recorded 11 records and voiced beloved Disney characters like Baloo in The Jungle Book and Cat OMalley in The Aristocats. Though he reportedly turned down The Beatles’ invitation to appear on the cover of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Tin Tan was honored by the Asociación de Actores de México. His legacy lives on in a statue on Génova Street in Mexico City’s Zona Rosa, standing as a symbol of pride in Mexico’s cultural heritage. Part 2- Many have wondered, what did Audrey see in this thrice divorced, older man? To Audrey, Mel was cultured, intelligent, spoke multiple languages, and an established actor. He could help guide and protect her from the chaos of Hollywood. When they werent working they lived a simple life, as described in this excerpt from a 1955 article about the couple at their farmhouse near Rome: “Audrey and Mel live informally and dress informally. If you go to their home for dinner you’ll find Audrey wearing a silk blouse and pair of tight, well-tailored toreador pants, and Mel in cotton trousers and a native Italian shirt. Instead of American cocktails, you’ll be served a drink called a Negroni, an Italian aperitif. Dinner starts with a pasta, then a tasty veal dish—zuccini and stringbeans grown on the estate, a green salad with mild oil and vinegar dressing, a country cheese, some fruit, and strong Italian coffee. The wine is also made on estate.” . However, Mel had a temper and became jealous of Audrey’s career. He envied her success and resented the fact that as Audrey’s career continued to grow, his became more of an after thought. He had aspirations that the two would become the next Laurence Olivier & Vivien Leigh, but his dreams were quickly dashed. War & Peace earned mixed reviews and his attempt at directing Audrey in Green Mansions was panned by critics and ended his directorial career. Friends noticed that Audrey felt trapped in her marriage and unable to be herself. From the book “Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.”, Sam Wasson describes an unpleasant moment between the two, “One evening after the day’s shoot, at a Japanese restaurant, with various members of the [Breakfast at Tiffany’s] cast and crew, Audrey made the mistake of putting her elbows on the table. Mel was seated next to her, and when he saw this, he picked up a fork, slipped its prongs under her elbows, and said - in a voice loud enough for all to hear - ‘Ladies do not put their elbows on the table.’ It was the sort of oppressively awkward moment that can only be met with silence. I came to Australia with my mother and brother when we fled the Lebanese civil war. My dad joined us a couple of years later. It was the 70’s, I was 8 years old. Occasionally, I’m asked if I remember the war. The truth is you don’t ever forget the sound, smell or fear of war and you don’t forget leaving the people you love behind. I didn’t know it at the time but we were so incredibly lucky... to have landed in Sydney, a safe haven in an amazing country with its beauty, abundance, laid back people and seemingly endless possibility. I love Australia beyond words. It’s home. It’s the place my parents were able to, with dignity, rebuild a life. My husband and children are Australian, my friends, my colleagues and my business are all here. The beaches I adore are at our doorstep. My love for Lebanon too never fades and in many ways neither does the hope for its recovery, particularly for its resilient, joyful people. It’s undoubtedly a complex, often misunderstood place. My experience of it has been the generous and loving nature of the people and the beauty of old Beirut and it’s incredible mountains that slide into the Mediterranean. Today we’re stopping to remember those who lost their lives in Tuesday’s devastating explosion and give thought to those suffering more inexplicable loss at this time. If you can, please donate. Vor genau zwei Wochen verstarb Jürgen Schadeberg, unser Freund und langjähriges Mitglied der Leica Familie, der sein fotografisches Leben und seine Karriere den Menschenrechten und der sozialen Gerechtigkeit widmete. In tiefer Trauer, jedoch auch mit einem lachenden Auge, schauen wir zurück auf viele gemeinsame Jahre, in denen wir tolle Projekte miteinander realisieren konnten. Seine Geschichten werden nicht vergessen, denn durch seine zeitlosen und ikonenhaften Fotografien hinterlässt Jürgen Schadeberg Spuren in der Geschichte der Leica Fotografie und vor allem in der Fotogeschichte Südafrikas. Jürgen Schadeberg, geboren am 18. März 1931 in Berlin, war einer der wenigen seiner Zeit, der auf der Seite der Entrechteten stand und deshalb oft mit dem Gesetz in Konflikt kam. In den 1950er Jahren dokumentierte er den Widerstand der Apartheid in Südafrika und bekam den Freiheitskämpfer Nelson Mandela in unterschiedlichen Lebensabschnitten vor die Linse. Neben dem Elend in Form von Gewalt und Armut, hielt er als bekennender Jazz-Liebhaber ebenfalls das bewegte Nachtleben und die Lebensfreude der Benachteiligten fest. Schadeberg versteht es in seinen Bildern unentdeckte Momente und Kontraste zu setzen, die sich durch politische Missstände, Melancholie und Humor äußern und hinterlässt ein wegweisendes Erbe aus sieben Jahrzehnten visueller Geschichte. Inside you could find @badbrainsofficial @malleusdelic @meltbanan_art @mc5 @thedwarves and The Man Who cant be named , @il_teatro_degli_orrori before their first record was out, @jim phillips, @scarful @chuck treece @zu @ciboband @cubre @the_locust_official @esse_emme @chucksperry and a short tale written by @michibcomi. Graphic was entirely crafted by @paoloproserpio. Sbattimenti were done by pippuzzo @press_press_milano.
