please read! just like many people in the community, i’m going to be leaving this place. it was a really nice community when i first joined, but now everything’s beginning to become toxic. i would just like to discuss some things and apologize for other things. this isnt anyone’s fault that i’m leaving, i just cant deal with what’s happening lately. i’m sorry if i ever came off as “needy for attention”, that wasn’t my intent, i just needed to let things out and i felt comfortable doing that here. i’m sorry i’ve never actually acted like jolyne, i tried to place my own personality, the admin’s, into jolyne and i ended up completely changing her to the point where she wasn’t much of jolyne anymore and more of just the admin with a different face. i’m sorry if i ever started any drama, i’m not sure if i did, but i still would like to apologize for it. i would also like to say sorry for taking constant breaks, i am a very fragile person and i probably should’ve just stayed out of communities as big as ba. while there were bad things that happened here, there were also good things that happened. this community has helped me become more social and open up more to people. star really helped me become this person. he helped me get over my fear of new people and of starting conversations. i wish i would’ve talked more with him. this community has also helped me realize who i am and what my purpose is in this world. i’ve met so many amazing people here and that makes all of this unforgettable. of course there are things i regret doing here, but joining isn’t one of them. although my time here was fairly short, it made more progress on myself during this time than anything else has over years. now this is where my bizarre adventure ends. this is where i thank you all. thank you everyone for supporting me and this account. i find it truly amazing that i reached 700 followers. i appreciate each and every one of you and i hope you all live long, happy lives. remember that you all have a purpose in this world, whether you’ve found it or not. we are all here for a reason. i love you all and thank you for following this girl’s bizarre adventure 💕💕 - @jolynesbizarreadventure on Instagram

Would you believe I thought about keeping the purple tile? I also wanted to wrap wood around the existing tub, but the floor plan needed to be fixed. Seeing how I’m not an exhibitionist, getting out of the shower into a big empty room wasn’t appealing. I rather have a cozy bathroom then have a bunch of dead space. I also wanted a bigger closet, which meant we had to move the original toilet to the other side of the room to push the wall out. Therefore, this was another gut job. ⠀ ⠀ I’m a big fan of the look of slate tile, I’m also a fan of the price. This was .99 sq ft! It’s also great for bathrooms because it has some grip to it. You can make it more modern by how you choose to lay the tile. ⠀ ⠀ For the shower, I chose a long subway tile and laid it vertically to stretch your eye to the vaulted ceiling. Designing a room is the same part of my brain as wardrobe styling. It’s all about making your eyes follow a story without creating interruption. It’s best to work with the bones you were given and don’t fight with what already exists. Cohesive stories are easier to follow. ⠀ ⠀ I love a stand alone tub, despite the fact I’ve taken about 10 baths in the last 10 years. I didn’t have the option of going through the wall for the faucet because of the window, and faucets that come out of the floor start around $1500. I was able to find this tub that has a built in faucet, which made the plumbing easy and much more affordable. ⠀ ⠀ The his & her vanities are from @morenobathroomvanities. Floating vanities help make a bathroom feel open and clean, but it’s important to have your plumbing ironed out before selecting a vanity because in this case it needed to be tucked behind the vanity. ⠀ ⠀ The lights over the vanity are from @cedarandmoss. I have had terrible lighting in my bathroom for years (sorry friends!) and wanted to make up for it with these lights. The light over the tub was an Etsy find. Kasia loves vintage aesthetics and her premiere collection was inspired by the visual opulence of the sunlit Mediterranean. Together with Kasia we invite you on a trip to the parallel world where DOBRO cheerful Sun shines bright. ⠀ Each piece of DOBRO jewellery is hancrafted by Kasia in a cosy atelier in Warsaw.
