Bis zum Jahr 2040 möchte die Hamburger Hafen und Logistik Aktien AG (HHLA) vollständig #klimaneutral sein und setzt ihre Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie daher gezielt um. Das Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) spielt in diesem Zusammenhang eine zentrale Rolle. Bereits zum zweiten Mal wurde das CTA als weltweit einzige klimaneutrale Umschlaganlage zertifiziert: Die 14 Containerbrücken für den wasserseitigen Umschlag, die 52 vollelektrifizierten Portalkräne im Containerblocklager, ebenso wie die vier Bahn-Portalkräne werden zu 100 Prozent mit Ökostrom betrieben. Die Hälfte der rund 100 am CTA eingesetzten Containertransporter (Automated Guided Vehicles/AGV) fahren bereits mit Lithium-Ionen-Batterien. Bis Ende 2022 soll die gesamte Flotte auf diesen alternativen Antrieb umgestellt sein. Dadurch werden jährlich rund 15.500 Tonnen CO₂ und rund 118 Tonnen Stickoxid weniger ausgestoßen. Mehr als vier Jahrzehnte war der Opelturm ein Blickfang auf dem Bahnhofsplatz. Mit dem modernen Würfelbau des Reformarchitekten Heinz Stoffregen kam im Juni 1925 ein Hauch von New York nach Bremen. Als Werbe- und Ausstellungsturm konzipiert, sollte das Gebäude ständig wechselnde Werbebotschaften verbreiten. Zu seinem Namen kam es in den 1930er-Jahren, als der Automobilhersteller aus Rüsselsheim das Bauwerk für seine Zwecke nutzte. Die prägnante Weltkugel wurde erst in der Nachkriegszeit auf das Dach gesetzt. Devised by Carat UK and Posterscope together with Mural Republic, the striking mural features a hyper-real recreation of a photo of the players embraced in a hug and is supported by a digital out of home takeover throughout the city. Multiple high impact screens across roadside, rail, POS and shopping malls leading with creative that combines Jürgen Klopp’s famous “Boom” with the Nivea Men logo, and the #sharethecare to encourage sharing on social media. Pysähdymme nyt monen muun tavoin miettimään: Miksi kulttuurille ei aiemmin ole löytynyt sijaa tarpeettomaksi jääneistä tiloista? 🔸 Erilaiset kulttuurin ja taiteen ilmentymät ovat ajoittain epätasa-arvoisessa asemassa keskenään. Kulttuuri kyllä mahtuu pienempäänkin tilaan, riittää täyttämään suuremman ja taipuu mitä erikoisempiin muotoihin. Tästä ei ole koskaan ollut kyse. Kenties kyse onkin siitä, mitä kuvitellaan kulttuurin vaativan. Miltä oikeastaan näyttää taide, joka tarvitsee oopperatalot ja suuret, kalliit museohankkeet, ja miltä taas sellainen, jolle ei löydy tilaa tai resursseja? Mielikuvien miljoonamuseohankkeissa elääkin usein Gallen-Kallelaa tai Janssonia, harvemmin lähijuna-aseman alikulkutunnelista löytyvää katutaidetta. 🔸 Taiteen kotitalossa esiin ovat päässeet graffiti- ja katutaide. Nämä taiteenlajit ovat perinteisesti ja nimensä mukaisesti, löytäneet paikkansa gallerioiden ulkopuolelta. Tässäkin asiassa on tosin tapahtunut muutosta. Resurssien puolesta kuitenkin vielä raahataan mieliala-muutoksen jäljessä. 🔸 Konkreettisia seurauksia taiteen ja kulttuurin levittäytymisestä yllättäviin kaupunkitiloihin on mm. alueiden kiinnostavuuden lisääminen, turismi ja sitä myötä aukeavat uudet työpaikat. Näiden lisäksi taiteen tekijät saavat uusia tiloja tuoda taidettaan esille. Kulttuuri- ja taideosallistumisen on myös todettu edistävän koettua terveyttä ja hyvinvointia. 🔸 Yhdessä tekeminen ja kokeminen lisäävät yhteisöllisyyden tunnetta. Taiteen kotitalolla on tästä esimerkkinä solidaarisuuslippuja. Danas je u Gradskoj četvrti Podsljeme predsjednica uprave @zg_holding Ana Stojić Deban u rad pustila mobilno reciklažno dvorište „Podsljeme“. Građanima je tako omogućeno , da bez naknade, radnim danom i subotom od 6,30 do 20,00 sati mogu predati više od 30 različitih vrsta otpada. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ S radom je krenulo deveto po redu mobilno reciklažno dvorište, Prilaz Kraljičinom zdencu kod kućnog broja 4. Ukupno u Zagrebu imamo 20 reciklažnih dvorišta, od čega je devet mobilnih i jedanaest fiksnih. Grad Zagreb ispunio je zakonsku obvezu, da svaka gradska četvrt ima barem jedno reciklažno dvorište. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ U mobilnom reciklažnom dvorištu otpad koji su građani odvojili u kućanstvu se privremeno skladišti, u njima se ne obavlja obrada sakupljenog otpada pa aktivnosti postupanja s otpadom ne završavaju tamo već podrazumijevaju češća pražnjenja i odvoz razvrstanih vrsta kojeg u konačnici uporabljuju ovlaštene tvrtke. @steepandfilter @jodenison LOCKDOWN PROJECT Dally and Michael originally set up Steep and Filter as a vegan café and a refill store for dried goods, selling pulses, nuts, seeds, grains, Eco toiletries and cleaning products. When Covid hit, they realized the grain store alone wouldn’t be enough to keep the shop open. Reacting to demand they started picking up surplus veg from the restaurant trade, sacks of flour and yeast, quickly turning Steep and Filter into a small green grocer. They also supply veg boxes ordered over the phone, customers don’t even need to get out of their car, they just drive by and pop the boot. Michael and Dally find that their customers often end up having long chats whilst shopping, there is a lovely peacefulness about Steep and Filter and Dally is a good listener. One of our volunteers shared about her experience: Had my first volunteer experience at the Food Bank today- FUN! FUN! I sorted produce with a group of 9 others. It was similar to vol work I’ve done in the past- sorting thru boxed donations, making sure any bad, inedible, or rotten food is separated, placing fruit items In one box, vegetables in another box, and “bad” produce into a separate bin (it does go out to get used in a different way than feeding people). It was SO MUCH FUN! The people there provided masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and everyone was socially distanced, a very safe environment. They even had a fun 80s playlist going, stuff I hadn’t heard in awhile- it was an upbeat, positive vibe. If you are looking for an easy, fun, meaningful way to make a difference for those struggling w/ food insecurity or waste, I HIGHLY recommend volunteering for a few hours. Thanks, Michele! Die erste Miete ließ auf sich warten. Er sah keinen Cent. Auf Mahnungen wurde nicht reagiert. Von dem mittlerweile vom Bund entlassenen Soldaten fehlt jede Spur. Vor Trainingsbeginn: Selbstverpflichtungserklärung Aufgrund gesetzlicher Vorgaben ist es notwendig, dass jedes SSP-Mitglied vor Trainingsbeginn eine Selbstverpflichtungserklärung unterschreibt. Dieses erhaltet Ihr in den kommenden Tagen per Email. Solltet Ihr nichts erhalten, könnt das Formular auch unter info@sportschule-ffb.de anfordern. Alternativ werden wir am Freitag, den 5. Juni von 13.00 bis 17.00 Uhr und am Samstag, den 6. Juni von 10 – 14 Uhr auf dem Parkplatz vor der Sportschule für Euch da sein. YACHT SALVAGE UNDERWAY Back in May, 2020 this yacht slipped it moorings and wound up on the beach in front of the lead lights at Lancelin‘s dunes. Some four months later Department of Transport have had to arrange a salvage crew to remove the stricken vessel and they are currently on the beach with one of two cranes they hope will do the job. Weather a storm about to hit, very soft sand and a heavy concrete hull boat filled with sand, this will prove quite a challenge. August 1950 gründete Otto Lummitzsch das THW als eine der ersten Zivilschutzeinrichtungen der Bundesrepublik. In einem der ersten Inlandsgroßeinsätze evakuierten Einsatzkräfte des THW während der Sturmflut 1962 in Hamburg und entlang der Nordseeküste Menschen, sicherten Deiche und versorgten die Bevölkerung. Während der Flutkatastrophe 2002 entlang der Elbe retteten mehr als 24.000 THW-Kräfte sechs Wochen lang mehr als 100.000 Menschen. Heute ist das THW eine moderne Bevölkerungsschutzorganisation des Bundes. Außerdem gilt das THW als kompetenter und verlässlicher Partner für deutsche Einsatzorganisationen sowie international tätige Hilfsorganisationen. In Deutschland unterstützen ehren- und hauptamtliche THW-Kräfte seit März bundesweit die Maßnahmen zur Eindämmung der Corona-Pandemie. Ehrenamtliche Einsatzkräfte bilden dabei das Fundament, um das vielfältige Einsatzspektrum des THW abzudecken und jederzeit Menschen in Not helfen zu können. In ihrer Freizeit nehmen sie an kostenlosen Fortbildungen und Lehrgängen teil und bereiten sich auf Hilfeleistungen im In- und Ausland vor. Seit 2019 bietet das THW zusätzlich mit Bundesfreiwilligendienstplätzen Menschen jeden Alters neue Perspektiven. Ab sechs Jahren können sich Interessierte zudem in der THW-Jugend engagieren. Auf internationaler Ebene kooperiert das THW mit den Vereinten Nationen (VN) und entsendet seine Schnell-Einsatz-Einheiten zur Soforthilfe. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem @auswaertigesamt unterstützen THW-Kräfte außerdem seit mehreren Jahren Tunesien, Jordanien und den Irak beim Aufbau ehrenamtlicher Strukturen im Katastrophenschutz. . Coronas für Coronas, ich male Sie kaufen“ – Diese schöne Aktion hatte Roland Willaert während des Corona-Lockdowns für den guten Zweck gestartet. Der Kameramann und Fotograf abstrahierte dazu 90 von ihm aufgenommene Portraits von Menschen die ihm begegnet waren und brachte diese mit Acryl auf Leinwand. Diese bot er zum Verkauf an, und obwohl er malerisch vorher nicht aktiv war, wurde die Aktion direkt ein großer Erfolg. Über 6.000 Euro wurden so erzielt, die jeweils zur Hälfte an die Arche sowie die Tafel in Heiligenhafen gespendet wurden. Sein Freund, Nachbar und Helfer, Karsten Prumbs aus Großenbrode, erhöhte die Spende für die Arche zusätzlich um 1.000 Euro, sodass sie nun in Berlin beide gemeinsam über 4.000 Euro an Arche-Gründer Bernd Siggelkow und die Kinder übergeben konnten. Vanochtend is onze nieuwe tentoonstelling “Cultuur onder vuur” geopend. “We vieren dit jaar dat we 75 jaar in vrede en vrijheid leven. Dit vormde de aanleiding voor onze nieuwe tentoonstelling over de bescherming van kunst en erfgoed tijdens gewapende conflicten,” aldus directeur Ed Dumrese. “Tijdens de oorlog lagen er namelijk twee scheepsladingen met belangrijke historische documenten in de kelders van Loevestein opgeslagen: 1100 strekkende meter. Na 75 jaar zijn hier weer enkele van de duizenden stukken te zien, die er destijds waren ondergebracht, waaronder een brief van Hugo de Groot aan Prins Maurits, de eerste besluiten van de VOC en een brief van Johan van Oldenbarnevelt.” Tijdens het dankwoord van Dumrese kwam een jeep voorgereden en stapte een militair uit die de laatste stukken voor de tentoonstelling symbolisch kwam overhandigen. Hiermee was de cirkel rond, aangezien onderduiker en militair Jan van der Pol tijdens de oorlog de stukken op Loevestein bewaakte. In de tentoonstelling is er speciale aandacht voor deze onderduiker en zijn bijzondere verhaal. Two women were rescued from the sea off the coast of Galway today, after being feared missing. Sara Feeney (23) and Ellen Glynn (17) went paddle boarding at Furbo beach last night but got into difficulty. After 15 hours of searching by the Coast Guard, RNLI, gardaí and volunteers, they were found by a local fisherman, hanging on to fishing gear in the sea near Inis Óirr. Bales still full of seeds will be offered to other Cambrige Colleges, and in our Chapel Lawn the seedlings will be waiting patiently to burst into bloom next spring. Heutiges Gesprächsthema des Bundestags: Einwegplastik. Das EU-Verbot bestimmter Einweg-Plastikartikel soll heute beschlossen werden. Auch weitere Beschlüsse rund um Abfall und Recycling werden gefasst. Das sind schon mal gute News. Unter Dach und Fach ist es noch nicht, was aber voraussichtlich beschlossen wird: 1. Wegwerfprodukte, für die es gute Alternativen gibt, sollen ab 3. Juli 2021 nicht mehr verkauft werden dürfen. Darunter fallen zum Beispiel Plastikstrohhalme, Luftballons, Wattestäbchen und Essensbehälter aus Styropor. 2. Es ist unklar, wie viele zurückgegebene und zurückgeschickte Waren im Handel zu Abfall werden. Eine „Obhutspflicht“ geht dagegen vor. Es gibt eine Pflicht, dafür zu sorgen, dass die Waren gebrauchstauglich bleiben und nicht zu Abfall werden. 3. Hersteller*innen sollen auf Mehrweg-Verpackungen setzen. Wer Einwegverpackungen in den Verkehr bringt, kann künftig an den Entsorgungskosten beteiligt werden. 4. Der Statt soll verpflichtet werden bei der Auftragsvergabe Produkte zu bevorzugen, die umweltfreundlich und ressourcenschonend sind. 5. Das Batteriegesetzt soll verschärft werden mit höheren Sammelquoten oder Batteriepfand. Klingt schon mal gut. Die Regelungen müssen allerdings auch noch vom Bundesrat verabschiedet werden.
