The seed of Feast Portland was planted in 2011 in a coffee shop in NW Portland. Since then, that idea has become a community within the food, beverage and hospitality world, guided by a core belief that food is a powerful medium that brings people together in real and inspiring ways. Gathering together is not just an elemental human need: It’s what we live for every September. * While it became clear to us in early March that there was no clear path to Feast in 2020, we still held a sliver of hope that our world would return to normal, and that we’d have the occasion to gather together in September. But the recent announcement by Governor Brown to ban large public gatherings through September was the final word on what we already knew in our hearts: Feast Portland as weve known it will not happen this September. * We support the governor’s decision wholeheartedly and we respect the science on which it was made. The current crisis is unlike any in our lifetime, and we stand in solidarity with our friends locally and worldwide in the food, beverage, events and hospitality industries who have been hit the hardest. 4 years ago I never would have pictured myself giving everything up for 2 years to move to England to talk about religion... but 1 year after getting home I still find myself wanting to go back and continue helping the English find that little “thing” that has been missing from their life. And for some daft reason the English dry sense of humour clicked and still gets me in trouble ;) But I’ll tell you looking back I would never give anything up for those 2 years! Not only did I live in soccer country and stand out like a sore thumb with my American accent, but I was able to share the incredible message of hope, happiness, and how God answers prayers! By restoring His church back to the earth, exactly how it was in Christ’s day. By revealing the Book of Mormon, which was from biblical times... but was the record of those on the American continents! Which goes hand in hand together with the Bible. I never thought I’d write this, I’m not one for posting private life on social media. But this is purely because I don’t have the heart to tell everyone personally. Plus We all know anyone who met him pretty much fell for his charm instantaneously, so here goes. After 3 long and brave years , my Dad lost his battle with his grade 4 Brain tumour on Thursday morning. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t need to write anything on here to show how much I loved him and idolized him, but he was my hero, the only hero I’ll ever need. I’ve missed him for a while now, as through his illness, he hasn’t been himself for a while, and it’s truly been a few months from hell. But I miss him so much , I know he was so proud but I just wish he could see what I’m going to go and do with the life he blessed me with. Rest in Power dad, gone way too soon ❤️ and for everyone else, after witnessing someone so strong and full of life have everything’s tripped of them without any control......do not waste your life, life is so precious and ruthless but it’s all there in front of us because we are the lucky ones. - @samuelcapper on Instagram

I’ve written this post over probably 5 times and reached a handful of road blocks from realizing after tagging 20 people that I couldn’t possibly tag everyone involved, to my phone dying seconds before finishing a long winded caption, to just not really having the words for it. But this trip was a game changer for sure. To everyone involved in this year’s @mostimaginativebartender , you’ve blown my mind. From the competitors (past and present), to everyone I get to work with on the @bombaysapphireus team, to all of the amazing people at the @homeofbombay , and all of the world class bartenders and hospitality professionals we came across along the way in London. Nivea Men, the official men’s grooming partner to Liverpool FC, has unveiled a giant mural in Liverpool city centre to celebrate its long-standing partnership with the team and to congratulate it on its League championship win. Devised by Carat UK and Posterscope together with Mural Republic, the striking mural features a hyper-real recreation of a photo of the players embraced in a hug and is supported by a digital out of home takeover throughout the city. Multiple high impact screens across roadside, rail, POS and shopping malls leading with creative that combines Jürgen Klopp’s famous “Boom” with the Nivea Men logo, and the #sharethecare to encourage sharing on social media. The mural is situated on one of the largest available sites in the UK. The out of home activity is part of a larger campaign that features a digital partnership with Sky Sports and Sky Sports News, including social media, plus TV and video ads, a cover wrap of the Liverpool Echo and a programme to supply tablets to selected retirement homes in the city to help residents stay connected with love ones.
