He is a stalwart of the sports media, specialising in injuries and overall wellness, while also publishing academic books including Clinical Sports Medicine. He was one of the founding members of the Australian College of Sports Physicians, and the first Australian to be elected to the Board of the American College of Sports Medicine - receiving an Order of Australia Medal for his efforts. Peter was the team manager of the Australian team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and is pictured here with Cathy Freeman’s Olympic 400 metre winning Gold medal!! What a bio, what a man! Build up for 5th appearance at @londonmarathon almost in the books, and unfortunately the last few weeks haven’t gone smoothly. It’s easy to focus on the aches and pains, but got to focus on the positives now and hope somehow all feels ok come race day. I’ve always preached about looking back on the good sessions, to try and build confidence, so here goes... This is the 11th marathon build up I’ve been through, and over the last 80 days I’ve run 1165 miles (14.5mi a day or 102mi a week for 11.5 wks). I’ve completed 25 sessions of marathon pace or quicker, so plenty of work in the bank. That’s on top of the build up that never was for April. I can moan all I want about the little niggle, and trust me I will, but the wife is now 36 weeks pregnant🤰🏽, and Nico 😿 has been through neutering, so I’ll leave it to you to decide who has suffered the most these last few months 😂 Thanks for all the messages of support, will give it all I can on Sunday! #hokaoneone #londonmarathon #the40thrace #maurten - @aaronscottruns on Instagram

We are sorry to say that after all your hard work (training) and all our hard work (organising) we have been presented with no choice but to postpone the inaugural Hampton Downs 2 Hour Racetrack Run, scheduled for this Sunday, due to the latest Covid outbreak in Auckland. The good news is that you can keep training for a little longer 😊 We are absolutely committed to running the event sometime in the near future but cannot advise a new date until we have a clearer understanding on what the landscape looks like from an Alert level perspective. Support for the event has been fantastic and we thank you for your entry, efforts to date and patience. Rest assured, when we get to run this event – it’s going to be a huge celebration! - 13 years ago on this day. The first COT race happened in the 2007 Food City 500. With a Amazing Finish to the race Kyle Busch and Jeff Burton battled for this win. Kyle Busch as you can see won, he led the last 20 laps plus 9 laps previously. This race had a very great finish.
