I was very lucky last week to be forwarded an E-book from a great man Chad Hermsen last week. He could probably hear the pain in my voice as we chatted and he recommended I listen to a book by Hugh Van Cuylenburg called @theresilienceproj It took me a couple of days but I did and the first chapter was very confronted as Hugh talked about his sister Georgia who battled with eating disorders. Being so close to that with previous partners and friends I found myself crying at certain points but I pushed on. The book teaches about meditation as well as the mindset around gratitude, empathy and mindfulness. These are all things I remembered and valued from my time as an ambassador for @smilingmind nearly a decade ago, reference to the picture down the bottom haha, but largely forgotten. Somewhat deliberately. We are all struggling right now for many different reasons and all have value. But we need to be grateful for what we have in a time where we might have lost so much.
