The same assumption goes for many other African nations that sit on vast quantities of fuels, metals and minerals, but, the reality is, these people remain the most financially oppressed despite the glutinous wealth of the foreign multi-national corporations. For example, there are 26 countries with extreme poverty rates over 40%, and only two of them are outside the continent of Africa. Ironically most multi-national corporations all have their wealth rooted in these countries. This type extortionary business model isn’t new. Capitalism has been running long and strong to the point where the empathic part of western society saw the damaging effects of their privilege and created an entire industry called charity. Sadly, over time, the ideals of charity have become corrupted, the same legal loopholes that allowed for corporations to overpower entire governments and outsmart human rights laws, have crept in to a once altruistic space. Under the administration of the United Nations across the worlds crisis zones, have any of the nation’s risen out of poverty? If anything, the rate of poverty has risen in many nations. Did you know more than 3billion people, that’s nearly 50% of the world’s population live on less than $2.50 a day. Over 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty on less than $1.25 a day. The most impoverished 40% of the world’s population, accounts for 5% of global income. The richest 20% accounts for three-quarters of world income. Having been on the ground in many of the places where the United Nations and other NGO’s operate, I myself share the opinion very similar to the peoples of the artificially impoverished nations, and that is, that Charity is the contemporary socially acceptable word for colonisation. I hate when I see people resort to overly-restrictive diets coupled with unsustainable levels of intense exercise. But people only resort to those things because of this fallacy. Do This, Then That. Lose the weight, and THEN Ill be enough. Lose the weight, and THEN Ill get the attention. Lose the weight, and THEN Ill feel good about myself. ~ The problem here isnt wanting to lose weight. The problem is thinking that weight loss alone is the fix for feeling better about yourself. Spoiler alert: its not. My own experience with weight loss made this abundantly clear. I thought losing 140 pounds was going to solve all of my confidence issues. But it really just made them worse. (At first.) I lost all this weight... why the hell dont I feel more confident? Why dont I feel like The Rock or Matthew McConaughey or some other uber-confident figure? It wasnt until later — (unfortunately, much later 😅) — that I looked back on my success and saw that the confidence I was hoping for wasnt waiting for me at the finish line. It was being built every leg of the race. In the process of losing weight. I just hadnt recognized it. Ive seen this in every client success stories, too. When I ask, Whats been your biggest win? Its rarely just, I hit my goal weight. Its, I hit my goal weight, but the real win has been feeling more confident and proud than I ever have before. ~ What Im saying is this. Its okay to want to lose weight because youre not happy with where youre currently at. But you dont have to be so damn hard on yourself. You should feel good about choosing to make yourself a priority. Even reading this post shows that you want this. Seriously. Pat yourself on the back. You deserve it. GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION!! I don’t have 100 people but I have over 50k plus watching. I have over 3k plus watching my stories lol is cool tho .. I will keep trying until I’m able to change more lives! The goal is to help others and share my knowledge in things that I know how to do best! This is about making others better !!! At the end of the day, the true supporters will always be there and some people just will stay watching. One of my mentors said he sold his course for like 25 dollars until people started to believe in him, and now he charges 4000 plus.
