In 1995 I had a weird idea to create a video catalog for @686 We did it because we had nothing to loose and wanted our products to be as dimensional as possible. I guess our thinking was a bit ahead of the curve as some liked it while others wanted a flat piece of paper that showed strictly the product and not much personality. That doesn’t fly here. We got heart and we got purpose. I didn’t have the $ so I bought a video camera from Good Guys (and returned it), printed the titles on paper and filmed it, got my homies to model, had our team riders wear it including the one and only Travis Parker and a bunch of other legends, I did the voice over, edited it myself and then packaged and mailed it out to our retailers. Em um ensaio clínico randomizado, duplo-cego e controlado por placebo, foram avaliados o efeito de um tratamento de 2 anos com decanoato de nandrolona (ND) na densidade mineral óssea (DMO) da coluna lombar, colo femoral e trocânter e na fratura vertebral, massa muscular e níveis de hemoglobina. Sessenta e cinco mulheres osteoporóticas com mais de 70 anos foram estudadas. Trinta e dois pacientes receberam injeções de 50 mg de ND e 33 receberam placebos a cada 3 semanas. Todos os pacientes receberam 500 mg de comprimidos de cálcio por dia. Resultados . Em comparação com a linha de base, o ND aumentou a DMO da coluna lombar (3,4% ± 6,0 e 3,7% ± 7,4; p 0,05) e colo do fêmur (4,1% ± 7,3 e 4,7% ± 8,0; p 0,05) após 1 e 2 anos, respectivamente. A DMO do trocânter aumentou significativamente apenas após o primeiro ano (4,8% ± 9,3, p 0,05). Comparado ao grupo placebo, o grupo ND apresentou DMO significativamente aumentada do trocânter e pescoço. ND reduziu significativamente a incidência de novas fraturas vertebrais (21% vs 43% no grupo de placebo; p 0,05). ND mostrou um aumento estatístico significativo na massa corporal magra após o primeiro (6,2% ± 5,8; p 0,01) e segundo anos (11,9% ± 29,2; p0,01). Além disso, um tratamento de 2 anos com ND aumentou significativamente os níveis de hemoglobina em comparação com a linha de base (14,3%; p 0,01) e placebo ( p 0,01). Conclusões . A nandrolona aumentou a densidade mineral óssea, os níveis de hemoglobina e a massa muscular e reduziu a taxa de fratura vertebral em mulheres idosas com osteoporose. HOMEWORK Inspired by the #WeSeeYou movement, and Rachel Chavkin’s post of commitments, plus my own search for actionable ways to ‘do better’, I spent the last week doing a survey of all of my artistic work. I went through every show I’ve directed, and every script I’ve written, and took a long hard look at them. I found plenty of moments where I’ve failed and plenty of things I can actively, thoroughly change to support my BIPOC collaborators and be a part of what is, I hope, a radical change in our industry.
