Trascorsi le vacanze estive dei miei 13 anni come “ragazzo di bottega” in un barbiere della città di Foggia. Spazzare a terra, comprare giornali, cambiare lamette, fare gli shampoo furono le mie uniche attività per qualche tempo fino al giorno del mio primo taglio di capelli. Da quel giorno capì che avrei dovuto percorrere la strada della mia passione: il barbiere. Da allora forbici e pettine mi hanno accompagnato verso i più importanti traguardi personali: dal primo taglio di capelli, all’apertura del mio negozio a Foggia, fino alla recente vittoria del Campionato Nazionale di Modellatura Barba. Welcome back! We are now accepting appointments through our specialised Booksy app ( LINK IN BIO ABOVE ⬆️⬆️) for when we open on Saturday the 4th of July. Please ensure that you book your appointment as soon as possible via this method. The shop remains closed until this date so we are unable to take telephone bookings. You are probably aware that at Savills we have always maintained an exceptionally high level of hygiene and our barbers are already trained to deliver an above average level of health and safety. The present situation in which we find ourselves due to Covid-19 has meant that we are escalating current policies to include the use of facial masks, disposable towels and gowns, hand sanitiser upon entering the shop and the through sanitisation of areas after each customer. We ask that you wear your own mask for your visit, or if required you can purchase one from us at cost price. To cover the cost of these extra safety measures we will be increasing our prices by a nominal 4%. We would appreciate card payments if possible and as barbers will not be taking payments in the reception area (we will have an assistant to do this), if you do wish to tip your barber, please do so prior to leaving your chair. Please also do try to arrive for your visit (with previously washed hair if possible) 5 minutes prior to your appointment and wait outside the shop. We will have seating outside but please abide by social distancing rules. We respectfully request that you come alone unless you specifically require a carer to be in attendance. We regret that we cannot at this time offer any facial service, however, these will resume as soon as guidelines specify that it is safe to do so. Got a bit of a strange phone call yesterday which kinda pissed me off, so figured I’d have to reiterate some things once again 🤷🏻‍♂️ Someone took it upon themselves to contact environmental health to report our shop for working without using face masks. Now, don’t get me wrong, I understand the world is a bit weird just now, but really? Since the day we reopen after the first lockdown in July, we’ve changed the way we provide our services in so many ways. From eliminating our downstairs waiting area and having a tent outside the shop to accommodate social distancing, to sanitising each and every surface of the shop multiple times a day. You won’t even get past our front door without a mask or having your temperature taken, so I’m a bit confused. Feeling like I need to explain ourselves after all the hard work we’ve all been doing the past few months proper sucks. The fact that someone took time out of their day to report us for bugger all, sucks even more. Our aim is to provide a safe working environment for both our staff and customers, and try to get back to some kind of normality after the curse of 2020. So aye. Señor Fausto. The Legend. Found this place in Cincinnati one day in the middle of a snowstorm. Hours on the door said the shop should have been opened, but nobody was around. Asked the guys at the bbq joint next door if they knew when the owner would be back. They said something to the tune of “good luck. That guy comes and goes whenever he wants”. Wound up staying overnight in Cincinnati, hoping he would be there the following day. Sure enough, he was. Such a huge personal achievement for me today! Ever since I started in this industry it has been a personal goal of mine to feature in a magazine. To be named “Rising Star” and get my own double page spread has been the cherry on the cake. Making the Jump from construction and teaching myself a skilled trade has not been easy in the slightest. I’d work 12-14 hour shifts in construction and then travel to friends and families houses to cut their hair unpaid in order to develop my skills set. There were a lot of sacrifices along the way but I always had that end goal in mind and that’s what kept me going daily.
