Hey, the response to my album, One for the losers (& other pilgrims) has been gratifying and feel gooding to say the least:) Thank You 3! to everyone who’s been digging it and has sent me feedback! Especially Queen city sounds and art who called it “the first truly great indie pop record of 2019 and one of the best of the past decade…”! i’m not trying to harp on it (and not gonna post anymore about it until it premieres on whatever blog ends up doing it) but i am trying to contact/ and deliver it to people who preordered it via a kickstarter campaign several years ago & don’t have many addresses. if you care at all just know that it’s here for you and if i can find your address it’s already on the way. I’ve sent a couple of kickstarter updates saying this and not many people have replied so this is an APB for the curious and the owed (non kickstarters who want one hit me up as well). it may be a lot of the people who backed the project 1) don’t care anymore &/or don’t like (my) music anymore 2) don’t have a way to play CD’s anymore (that’s ok too i have flash drives with the files i can send you) 3) changed their mind 4) will just stream it when it’s streamable. I’m often asked my political opinion, and I made this meme years ago so I could let others know why I never get emotionally invested in politics. . I don’t listen to the rhetoric of politicians, media, or others on social media because I’ve lived through many presidents, and for the most part, life hasn’t changed much, and all the “end of the world” scenarios people were afraid of during each election cycle never develop. . Does that mean I don’t vote? Nope. It means that 99% of my life is determined by my own efforts, so for example, I don’t blame my financial struggles on a president. That’s on me. If there is any affect by a government policy, it only makes things a little harder, or a little easier. . For me, 2020 has been a great year, and that’s for one simple reason: I was prepared for it. . For example, although they’re all adults now, I homeschooled my kids when they were young, so we’d of been fine in 2020. . I’ve had a home-based business since 1993—and I’ve “preached” that people need to start one for decades (no one listened)—so I thrive in these type of environments. . I’ve always had a home gym, so I don’t miss a beat with lockdowns. . I’m very disciplined about my nutrition, and I’ve daily consumed my vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, so my immune system is always rocking. . Therefore, when it comes to election cycles and who’s in charge… . So what? I’m not going to panic, worry, and get angry over any of it. I’m going to plan, revise, work, and remain a determined, focused, and diligent motherf*****. #MetalUp 👊💀🤘 . P.S. I don’t care about your political opinion, but I’m sure the comments below will be filled with them because people DON’T LISTEN! That’s why the next crisis will take them out because they think what happens in Washington is what really determines their quality of life. . I’m late but I have to thank everyone who was involved in the first Black Health Matters event in Brooklyn, I loved seeing how many groups came out to collaborate ,It was important that this day went well since it was the first time I had ever done anything like this. I’ll keep it brief but clearly it was incredible and all involved in the planning and performing were incredible. I absolutely have to shout out @chef_rasheeda & @melrosemann for helping give me purpose with @blackchefmovement & I definitely have to thank @cheforlando_ for helping me realize I can take it further than a brief event in the park and I gotta thank @soleilcita for putting me on the path to take the steps that got the event going.
