We haven’t posted for a little while. At Willow and Stone, there’s no pretending this year is business-as-usual.⠀ ⠀ But after months of helping our couples rework their wedding dates and plans, one thing remains clear – where there’s love, there’s hope.⠀ ⠀ Our wedding couples - past and future - are now like family. This year, we’ve not only witnessed their wrenching disappointments, we’ve shared them in the most heartfelt way.⠀ ⠀ But in all the talking, consoling and digging deep to “find a way”, our soul-searching about how to move forward has made us reflect deeply on our reason for doing what we do.⠀ ⠀ Sure, it’s our livelihood. But the sheer privilege and joy of helping two people celebrate and declare their love, with those they love, in this place we have created and nurtured with love, cannot be adequately expressed.⠀ ⠀ Which is why we stopped taking bookings for 2021 until we know all our 2020 couples can set their sights on new dates if postponement (for some a possible second postponement 😔) is required and their wedding dreams can remain intact.⠀ ⠀ We now take nothing for granted - least of all certainty.⠀ ⠀ But, like you all, the Willow and Stone family is learning to adapt. We’re so proud of the many couples who are soldiering on, reshaping their dreams and zeroing in on what really matters.⠀ ⠀ For the sake of all these very special people who are now part of our lives, we’re determined to find a way through the challenges. #tbt Em 2017 fiz uma história curta chamada “Um dia a “Mais”. Na época fazia um ano que eu tinha saído da fábrica e me jogado de freelancer e desenhar aquilo me ajudou a lidar com mil coisas. Esse ano, no começo da pandemia, eu resolvi continuar isso em forma de páginas únicas e com narrativa silenciosa, inspiradas em conversas que eu tinha ou observações do meu cotidiano.
