श्री कृष्ण के इस पवित्र तीर्थ स्थल को बना दिया था मस्जिद, एक हिन्दू वीर ने भुजबल से इसे फिर से हासिल किया ... यह हिंदुओ का महातीर्थ द्वारिकाधीश मंदिर , द्वारिका है, पौराणिक मान्यता के अनुसार इस मंदिर का निर्माण श्रीकृष्ण ने पौत्र ने करवाया था । 1472 ईस्वी में इस मंदिर पर महमूद बेगड़ा ने आक्रमण करके इसे मस्जिद में परिवर्तित कर दिया ।। उसके बाद आमेर के राजा मानसिंहजी ने गुजरात पर आक्रमण कर गुजरात मुसलमान सल्तनत को समाप्त किया, ओर द्वारिकाधीश से मस्जिद बने मंदिर को दुबारा मंदिर बनवाया ।। मात्र यही मंदिर नही है, जिसकी रक्षा मानसिंहजी ने की, उड़ीसा का जगन्नाथ मंदिर भी अगर आज मस्जिद नही है, तो वह मानसिंहजी की ही देन है । 1592 में उड़ीसा के जगन्नाथ मंदिर के लिए मानसिंहजी ने उड़ीसा में काफी कत्लेआम मचाया था ।। काशी में हजारो मंदिर बनवाने का जिक्र मानसिंहजी के इतिहास में है, बिहार पटना स्तिथ पौराणिक सूर्यमन्दिर मानसिंहजी ने बनवाया है, भारत का कोई ऐसा कौना नही है, जहां जहां के पौराणिक मंदिर मानसिंहजी में ना बनवाये हो । मीराबाईजी जैसी कृष्णभक्त भी आमेर पधारी थी, उनकी स्मृति में भी मानसिंहजी ने जगशिरोमणि नाम से एक मंदिर का निर्माण किया, जिसमे भगवान विष्णु के साथ मीराबाई की मूर्ति लगी है । हिंदुओ को समझना चाहिए, की मानसिंहजी का इतिहास योजनाबद्ध तरीके से क्यो बर्बाद किया ? आज आप फिल्मों को सनातन का शत्रु मानते है, आपको विचार करना चाहिए, की बार बार क्यो आमेर जयपुर परिवार को ही फिल्मों के माध्यम से बदनाम किया गया ?? बंगाल, बिहार, झारखंड, उड़ीसा, गुजरात हर जगह अपने भाइयो के लिए लड़ने वाले, ओर जितने वाले मानसिंहजी का इतिहास इतना क्यो कलंकित किया गया, की अपने विजेता का नाम लेते भी संकोच करे है 1 - @hindurashtrakishaan on Instagram

The Makai Gate, is one of the 4 gates of Fortification partitions of Aurangabad City, out of which, each face a cardinal course, specifically, Delhi Gate demarcating the North, with the Jalna Gate and Paithan Gate guarding the East and South respectively. The Makai Gate barricades the West. This gate turned into erected in approximately 1682 AD with the aaid of General Khan Bahadur beneath Aurangzebs rule. Makai means Corn. But Makai Darwaza doesnt means The Corny Gate. Makai is actually a short word used for the word Mecca. 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊 Tucked away and almost hidden from the outside world in the bustling by-lanes of Somwar Peth, Pune is a small and beautiful temple ‘Trishund Ganpati’. Originally built with a direct approach to the banks of the Nagzari stream, one of three inscriptions in the sanctum tells that construction here started on 26th August 1754 by Bhimjigiri Gosavi from Dhampur (near Indore) and was completed in 1770. The temple is constructed from Deccan stone basalt, on a high platform with a small courtyard in front. One of the most striking aspects of this temple is of course the façade. It is highly decorated with figures, animals and mythological creatures, many of which appear to be somewhat unusual. Of particular note is one carving of a rhinoceros, tied in iron chains with what appears to be British soldier. This has been interpreted as a depiction of the historical fact that after the battle of Plassey in 1757, the British had captured control of Bengal and Assam. The architecture of the temple is a blend of Rajasthani, Malwa and South Indian styles. There was once a Shikara towering above the sanctum that was lost some time ago, or perhaps it was never completed. The entrance to the temple is flanked by sculptured ‘dwarpalakas’ (doorkeepers), with a carving of Goddess Lakshmi with two elephants above. The original plan was to dedicate this temple to Shiva but at some point, the presiding deity became Lord Ganesha. His image in the sanctum is a little unusual, with three trunks and six hands, and seated on a peacock. The temple name comes from this idol- ‘Tri-shund’ means ‘three trunks’. Three inscriptions exist here- one illustrates the foundation of Rameshwara temple and the creation of this temple in 1754. Second is Sanskrit inscription which gives a verse from the Bhagwad Gita. And the third is Persian inscription that informs a temple of Gurudevdatta was constructed. The temple also has a basement which has a Samadhi(memorial) of Gosavi (a prominent saint of the Hindu Ganpatya sect) but for most of the year this space is significantly flooded. A total fine collected in the last four months! Ever since the lockdown was announced in India in March, wearing a mask is made compulsory since then. However, the shocking numbers reveal that inspite of increasing fine from Rs 200 to Rs500 to Rs1000, people are still flouting the guidelines. Yet when our team member visited the 17th century CE Jumma Masjid for evening prayers ystrdy before #lockdown curfew hours come into force in that area, he was aghast at being so empty. We shared a post here of how the empty mosque was on Eid...but despite physical distancing steps taken by the mosque authorities, it seems ppl are really being careful & not even coming for prayers. Akhnoor Fort  is on the right bank of Chenab River(ancient name Asikni). Work on the fort, actually began in 1762 at the behest of Raja Tegh Singh and was completed by his son Raja Alam Singh in 1802. •It was on 17th of June 1822 A.D. that the magnanimous Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, the most powerful king in the realm of Hindustan coronated Gulab Singh as Raja of Jammu region at Jia Pota in the backdrop of Akhnoor fort. •Interestingly the Jia Pota Ghat got its name from the Jia Pota tree under whose shade the Raj Tilak ceremony of Maharaja Gulab Singh took place. •To commemorate the coronation day of Maharaja Gulab Singh, a commemorative tablet has been installed at the ghat depicting the scene of Raj Tilak. •It is believed that original tree got uprooted and ultimately washed away in the floods of 1957. मध्‍य प्रदेश का हिस्‍सा निकालकर बनाया गया यह राज्‍य भारतीय संघ के 26वें राज्‍य के रूप में 1 नवंबर 2000 को अस्तित्‍व में आया। यह राज्‍य यहां के आदिवासियों की लंबे समय से चली आ रही मांग को पूरा करता है। प्राचीनकाल में इस क्षेत्र को दक्षिण कोशल के नाम से जाना जाता था। इस क्षेत्र का उल्‍लेख रामायण और महाभारत में भी मिलता है। छठी और बारहवीं शताब्दियों के बीच सरभपूरिया, पांडुवंशी, सोमवंशी, कलचुरी और नागवंशी शासकों ने इस क्षेत्र पर शासन किया। कलचुरियों ने छत्‍तीसगढ़ पर सन 980 से लेकर 1791 तक राज किया। सन 1854 में अंग्रजों के आक्रमण के बाद ब्रिटिश शासनकाल में राजधानी रतनगढ़ के बजाय रायपुर का महत्‍व बढ़ गया। सन 1904 में संबलपुर, ओडिशा में चला गया और सरगुजा रियासत बंगाल से छत्‍तीसगढ़ के पास आ गई। छत्‍तीसगढ़ पूर्व में दक्षिणी झारखंड और ओडिशा से, पश्चिम में मध्‍य प्रदेश और महाराष्‍ट्र से, उत्‍तर प्रदेश और पश्चिम में झारखंड से और दक्षिण में आंध्र प्रदेश से घिरा है। छत्‍तीसगढ़ क्षेत्रफल के हिसाब से देश का नौवां बड़ा राज्‍य है और जनसंख्‍या की दृष्टि से इसका 17वां स्‍थान है। #pics #art #pictures #composition #photooftheday #all_shots #focus #photo #moment #photos #instagood #picture #pic #snapshot #color #beautiful #capture #exposure #photography - @colors_of_india___ on Instagram

रामनगर संग्रहालय निर्मित 1964 काशी नरेश विभूति नारायण सिंह जी द्वारा सरस्वती भवन (अन्य नाम) समय -10:00 से 5:00 रामनगर संग्रहालय में खूबसूरती से नक्काशी की गई बालकानी, भव्य मंडप और खुले आंगन का भव्य रूप देखने को मिलता है। इसके साथ ही संग्रहालय में कई प्राचीन वस्तुओं का नायाब कलेक्शन है। सभ्यताओं का संगम हो या ऐतिहासिक बेशकीमती मुद्राएं। संग्रहालय में स्वर्ण्म इतिहास से लेकर वर्तमान तक का सफर करने का मौका मिलता है। संग्रहालय में रखी वस्तुएं हमारी सांस्कृतिक धरोहर और प्रकृति को प्रदर्शित करती हैं।  इनमें प्राचीन घड़ियां, पुराने शास्त्रागार, तलवारें, पुरानी बंदूकें, विनटेज कार और हाथी के दांतों की बग्गी, पालकी और हाथी के दांत के कई सामानों के साथ ही कई तरह के वाद्ययंत्र शामिल हैं। इसके साथ ही शाही परिवारों के मध्ययुगीन वेशभूषा, आभूषण और फर्नीचर आदि पर कई गई उम्दा कारीगरी का नमूना भी है। यहां मध्यकालीन युग के राजा-रजवाड़ों की शानों शौकत का भी नजारा देखने को मिलेगा। खगोलीय घड़ी है आकर्षण का केंद्र : सबसे अद्भुत वो दुर्लभ खगोलीय घड़ी है जो ना केवल समय बताती है, बल्कि साल, महीना, सप्ताह और दिन के साथ-साथ सूर्य, चंद्र और अन्य ग्रहों का खगोलीय विवरण भी देती है। इस घड़ी का निर्माण वर्ष 1852 में बनारस के शाही दरबार के खगोलविद मूलचंद ने किया था। The Maharaja Banaras Vidya Mandir Trust Museum, popularly known as Ramnagar Fort Museum, is located in Ramnagar Fort in Varanasi. It was established by Maharaja Kashi Naresh Vibhuti Narain Singh in 1964. The museum is a part of the Ramnagar Fort, which was built in 1750. The museum is divided into five galleries starting from the collection of vintage cars and palanquins, followed by the textile gallery, armoury (with swords, old guns, and many guns are imported), personal decorative items and the old photographs respectively. The fourth gallery has an astronomical clock built in 1872 by B. Mulchand. The clock shows the time, day, year, month, week and other astronomical readings. After a visit to the museum, a passage leads towards the edge of the river where the Vyas temple can be visited. ‘Diamond by the sea’ – the Taj Mahal Palace is an architectural jewel in Mumbai. The foundation of the Taj was laid in 1898, and the hotel opened its gates to the guests for the first time on December 16, 1902, even before the foundation for the Gateway of India was laid (on March 31, 1911). It is located in Colaba, beside the Gateway of India, and used to be the first sight for ships calling at the Bombay port before the construction of the Gateway. Taj Mahal Palace was the first building in Bombay to be lit by electricity. On November 26, 2008, the hotel was hit by an unfortunate series of terror attacks that took the lives of at least 167 people, with at least 31 people dying in the hotel. The hotel was re-opened after restoration on Indian Independence Day, August 15, 2010. It was on November 6, 2010, when U.S. President Barack Obama became the first foreign head of state to stay at the hotel post attacks. He also delivered a speech from the terrace of the hotel, where he said that ‘the Taj has been the symbol of the strength and the resilience of the Indian people.’ A quote by Mr. G.A. Mathews, given back in 1905, is worth remembering: ‘The Taj Hotel is on such a scale of magnificence and luxury that at first it rather took one’s breath away. Before the arrival of electricity, kerosene lamps dotted Bengaluru’s roads. Three men were specifically appointed to handle street lighting. One would clean the black soot left from the fuel that burnt the previous night, another would fill it with kerosene, while the third one would light the flame. Kala Darwaza, Qila-e-Ark #Aurangabad. Kala is an alternative (but less common) pronunciation of the word Qil’a, which is Persian for castle or fort. The fort in question is Qil’a-Ark (also spelt Qila-e-Ark), a citadel built by Emperor Aurangzeb parts of which may still be seen on a path leading west from Alamgir’s Mosque. For a long time, a part of the citadel was being used by the Government Arts College which eventually abandoned the building, which is now treacherously dilapidated. Brahma temple in Pushkar is a rare religious site that is dedicated to the lord of creation, Lord Brahma. The Vishwanath Temple at Kashi, one of the holiest temples for Hindus was destroyed at least three times by invaders. The first time was by Qutubuddin Aibak, whose successor Raziya Sultana built a mosque at the ruins. The temple was rebuilt but then again demolished by Sikander Lodi. The Vishveshwara lingam, the idol, was then worshipped secretly until a temple was built around it during Emperor Akbars reign. (Pics 1&2 show the temples state now, and pic 5 the history of destruction.) The temple complex contains the well of knowledge, called the Gyanvapi- whose water is considered as sacred as the Ganga. It is believed that this well is the essence of Lord Shiva. However, during 1669, the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb issued a farman for the destruction of this temple (pic 3) and this order was recorded in the chronicle Masir-i-alamgiri (pic 4). The temple was destroyed, the sacred well desecrated and a mosque built over it which stands even today. A part of the mosque still contains ornately carved walls and pillars from the original temple. In Rambles into Sacred Realms: Journeys in Pen & Paint, K.V. Krishnan says: Huge minarets and white domes in the front disguised the remains of an ancient temple behind. A ruthless Muslim emperor had razed an ancient temple to the ground and intentionally left these walls intact as a reminder of his intolerant might over other beliefs. In a fit of rage, he raided the temple’s sanctum and hurled the Sivalinga (stone shaft symbolising Shiva) into the Gyan Vapi, the Well of Knowledge. It was much later in 1777 AD that the Maratha queen Ahilyabai Holkar rebuilt the temple adjacent to the mosque over the original idol that had been saved. Thats why the idol is placed at a corner, not the centre. The other idol, Nandi, signifying eternal waiting for his master Lord Shiva, still faces the original site of the temple which is now a mosque (Pics 6,7&8). A five-storey high red sandstone structure complete with over 950 windows,Hawa Mahal was made in such a way that the breeze circulates through these windows, giving the palace its name. If you look at it closely, the five-storeyed Hawa Mahal in Jaipur appears like a bee hive, specially so because the windows are decorated with very fine lattice work. It is said that the designer of this structure, Lal Chand Ustad envisioned the Hawa Mahal in such a way that it resembles the crown of Lord Krishna, the favourite deity of women in Rajasthan. More than a palace, the Hawa Mahal is also a cultural and architectural marvel that reflects a truly harmonious amalgamation of the Hindu Rajput and Islamic Mughal architectural styles. The Rajput style can be seen in the domes canopies and the fluted pillars, while the stone inlay filigree work and the arches are perfect depictions of the Mughal style of architecture.
