It’s hard and many times I have felt like it’s pointless bc ppl just don’t care and they don’t want to face reality or they get it but they don’t think there’s a way to change it, but I remind myself humanity is counting on us even if they don’t know it and you never know what will be the thing that clicks for people to realize they must act. 2/2 Este será un post largo… Ayer se cumplieron 5 años de mi primer día en la bonita Eureka & Co y qué viajesote ha sido! De ese primer día para acá me he sentido en el reality show más largo de la historia: desde un primer día de trabajo con 4 extraños arriba de un avión a California, conocer a compañeros periodistas que yo leía/veía en la TV/ escuchaba en la universidad y con los que he colaborado muchas veces y que a muchos ya puedo llamar mis amigos. Y bueno, qué les digo de esta quinta temporada en medio de una pandemia jajaja. Todo lo llevo en mi corazoncito 💜 También son 5 años de que inició el gran equipo Netflix, mi equipo que ha cambiado muchísimo y me ha cambiado más. Todas y cada una de las personas con las que he tenido la fortuna de trabajar me han marcado y me han dejado aprendizajes para toda la vida. Amé buscar las mejores fotos de estos años (topándome con viajes, desvelos, eventos increíbles y muchísimas risas) y me enorgullece ver todo lo que se ha logrado en equipo en tan poco o mucho tiempo. Cada proyecto ha sido una revolución para mi. No dejo de aprender y de sorprenderme todos los días ♥️🎥. Me encanta mi historia en la eurekandco. Es donde he reído, llorado y aprendido mucho más de lo que creía antes de iniciar este trip. As of a couple of weeks ago, this beautiful woman left Bonbon to do some exciting stuff. I have been in two minds whether or not I should write this (it’s Fay by the way), as I know she wouldn’t want a fuss. But as we’ve been in a bit of an intermediate phase with Bonbon, she left so unceremoniously and I couldn’t say nothing. So, Sharon. I would like to say a massive heart felt thank you for everything you did. For anyone who ever came into Bonbon, I think you’ll agree that it wasn’t just a chocolate shop. We used to joke about it being like Cheers - the amount of characters and insane things that happened in there are countless. I swear one day I will write a book about it. It was like a little chocolate oasis in the middle of a chaotic city. From families needing respite to strangers wanting a laugh to recovering drug addicts. Everyone was welcome, without exception. And you created that. This incredibly warm, welcoming, magical safe place that had so much soul. Four walls that held so many pieces of so many people’s lives. I am so grateful for everything you taught me (chocolate based and otherwise), that I made an amazing friend and that I got to be a small part of what Bonbon was. Amy Winehouse shot for Q in 2007 by Søren Solkær (@sorensolkaer) —— “I spent the whole day with Amy in Dublin. This picture really means a lot to me, especially because I met her again half a year later at the Brit Awards where I did another shoot with her and she was in a miserable state. It was at a time when she felt great and we had a lot of fun. It was just her, walking around the Temple Bar district in the daytime, no assistant, just walking around shooting photographs. She was in a great mood, buying souvenirs for her family and friends. It reminds me of Amy, when everything was going reasonably good. She looked incredible. She did her make-up and her hair herself, which I was quite surprised by. The second time I photographed her in London, she wasn’t easy to photograph because she felt miserable, but on this day she just looked totally iconic. When she suddenly died, I did look at these photos. They were in my archive and I just saved them for later but when the documentary came out, there was a lot of interest and I did an exhibition in Copenhagen, where I live.
