Some time away with the HUB ❤ This weekend we ventured up north to the Pacific Palms Region. We stayed on this beautiful quiet lake called Smiths Lake where Sharif fed the birds every morning while I caught up on the Bachelor. My Fav spot we went to was probably Blueys Beach ☀️ ....or Seal Rocks. Both are way up there on some of the most beautiful beaches Ive ever seen. 👍Highlights - Markets, Beach walks, serious R&R, the best Nasi Goreng outside of Bali and even though we SCREAM tourists everyone was super friendly. 👎Low points - Everything closes at 5pm so get your snaaacks and grog early. It can be windy AF so if youve got hair extensions like me get a hat or mad scrunchy and if you dont have either at least get yoself a soft bristle brush for your purse. U gon need it 💁🏼♀️🌬🌪 We will definitely be back to this magical place when it warms up a bit more so we can frolic in the ocean like little school girls 🌊 I know everyones heading up to Byron Bay but you should seriously consider this area. 5 years ago we went on our first date and saw a movie called The Gift. While the plot of the film in no way represents our life, the name of the movie couldnt be more fitting to what you are. My parents moved us to live in Arizona when I was 8... I was reluctant because I didnt want to leave friends and family. But being 8 didnt give me much say in the matter we were moving and like always parents do know best. After living there for 3 or so years I fell in love with not only my new home but its people and its natural beauty unlike anything else in the world. We then moved back to the East Coast for some brutal winters. I told myself Id come back one day...today is that day. I decided to take the train, yes the train...a total of 51 hours by train and another 2.5 hours by bus. Ive always had the travel bug (you can blame my parents for that one). Given everything going on in our country I wish everyone could see what I have seen. The beauty of this amazing country, something that we take for granted and completely forget about in our cell phone obsessed lives, rants about things we dont one hundred percent understand and fighting every day with people we should be helping. Im not saying get on the next train and take it all in like I did, but how about take a look out your windows and just look, take it all in, see what beauty you walk past every day whether it be the ocean in the distance, the fall foliage coming around the corner or the park that becomes wonderland in the wintertime when dusted with snow.
