So sad to hear about Beirut. These are some of my favourite film images we took. When we took a trip to Beirut in late 2018, we didnt know we were going to fall in love with the place as much as we did. The biggest highlight was the people, the kind, funny and extremely generous people. We did see a lot of suffering, the bullet holes on the buildings were confronting, most of the city was still being rebuilt, but we not once felt uneasy or worried for our safety. It was a magical place and it is very upsetting hearing the news today. I am thinking of you all 🙏🏻 - @enchanted_weddings on Instagram

hey there, its been a while. i wanted to come on here and express some recent steps Ive been taking in my life which will affect my involvement with top nachos. Ive been going to therapy for a few months now in order to work on my mental health and improve my overall quality of life. Ive learned so much in this time about myself and have been given a lot of tools that help me set boundaries and be honest with myself and the people in my life who rely on me and whom I rely on. Something Casey pointed out is how this pandemic has a lot of people looking inwards at themselves and reflecting on who they are and where theyre headed and where they want to be. During these reflective periods, Ive considered what my priorities in life are and as I near turning 30, where I see myself in the next few years. One of my biggest priorities has been my band top nachos. Its been 4 and a half years that Ive been making music w/ Eli and playing shows and I cant begin to say how much fun Ive had and how many amazing people Ive met and built really strong friendships with. But I also realize that for a while Ive felt a bit displaced and quite unhappy being in nachos. For so long Ive struggled with finances and my planning for my future while also prioritizing nachos bc I believe in it. the cost though ends up being immense stress and inability to meet my other life goals and priorities. Ive confided in my therapist, close friends and acquaintances if I have validity in making the decision to not commit my time and future to top nachos and instead to keep working on myself, establishing independence in my life and pursuing a new career that could allow security in my life with my partner which Ive wanted for quite a while and everyone has encouraged me and validated my decision. Last night I told Eli that after immense consideration for all these things Ive mentioned that I have to make the extremely difficult decision to leave the band. For once in my life Im asking myself what I need and what boundaries I need to set for myself in order to go on living and coping with my PTSD from past relationships more comfortably.
