We adopted our special black kitty in July of 2017 from @last_hope_inc. We adopted her as Greta, add a royal title of princess 👑. It took HRHPG a little more than a year to be comfortable with everyone (and animal) in our Wolfden, she didn’t come downstairs for the first couple of months! My sister and I are Multi-Racial. . It’s always been incredibly hard to be accepted by both Black and White people. When we were young I remember my Grandma and grandpa both talking shit about our Dad because he was black. We never felt fully embraced by most of our family. Thank you Mom Andrea Starbird for always telling us that we are beautiful and that we should love ourselves just the way we are!! . Today my sister got attacked online by a black chick- and it’s such a disgrace 😤 she was claiming that my sister has been trying to claim that she’s full black or what they call “blackfishing” 🤭 (Makes me so sad!) . Nahhhh we just out here dodging bullshit judgement from almost most people that don’t actually know us!! Gets my blood boiling because it’s always been so hard wherever we go. . It’s taken YEARS for both of us to feel comfortable and confident in our skin. . Throughout my teen years I had to hide my black heritage from my white friends. I’ve always felt more comfortable around black people but wasn’t ever sure if I was black enough to hang. . This is what it FEELS like to be Multi-Racial- and we must take the time to heal this conversation.
