Not only was she excited to hear from me, but she admitted that she never cared much for Lindsey Graham. I explained how he had a long record of voting against gay rights, and how scared I was that the next Supreme Court would strip my right to marry the man I love. Didn’t she want to come to my wedding? . She was dubious about Graham being anti-gay, so I sent her a @humanrightscampaign analysis of his abhorrent record. I told her I didn’t care about her vote for president (she had already promised to vote for someone other than Trump), but that we should have checks and balances in our government—we need compromise and bipartisanship again, and we can do that by kicking out Lindsey Graham.
