It’s with the deepest regret that we inform our supporters & friends that Dale Sharpe passed away in Kansas in the United States on the 20 June, 2019 Dale was driving on Highway 2 north east of Harper where he struck a deer. Dale’s vehicle was disabled on the road and he sought safety calling for assistance. The vehicle started to billow smoke from the engine bay and Dale sought refuge on the side of the road. A passing motorist avoided colliding with the stranded vehicle at the last moment by leaving the road. Dale ran for cover into a ditch, however it’s understood the same oncoming vehicle sought refuge in the same direction simultaneously and he was subsequently struck. He was treated by health care professionals on scene and in hospital, however passed away at 2.14am. Dale was loved by many and will be deeply missed. On behalf of the family we thank you for all your support, but ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time. This is what my training looks like these days... Im ALWAYS training. Every time I eat is an opportunity to train the peace I want with food. Every time I workout is an opportunity to train the love I want for the gym. Every minute of everyday is an opportunity to train myself into the person I wish to become. Get it? I was once like you. I thought: Once I found the right diet, then food would be easy. Once I found the right workout program, then Id love the gym. Once I had the body, then Id be happy. Once I was the best at something, then Id feel worthy. Talk about a recipe for disaster, and a life of pain and frustration.😬🔫 The way you FEEL on a daily basis is a pattern. Its been trained in the nervous system. And that pattern is what drives the actions you take and dont take. A diet may tell you WHAT to eat, but it doesnt actually GET you to eat that way because it doesnt change your PATTERNS on the inside. Feelings of fear, anxiety, frustration, etc will drive you to eat the shit foods, hate the gym and prevent the body from burning fat because a stressed body doesnt burn fat. My main pattern is anxiety. I picked it up from my childhood as my mom and family were very anxious people. As soon as I start to feel anxious, I turn to food. Its programmed in me and no diet or workout program in the world will change that for me. To change the pattern, I had to RE-TRAIN it. Im constantly training myself to spend less time in the anxiety, fear, & frustration and spend more time in the states Id like to know: calm, peace, love, joy, etc. When I feel peace and calm, food is never an issue. When I feel love, motivation for the gym is never an issue. The work is done inside, not outside of you. This is why I have my clients follow an Inner Training plan, just as much as a food and workout plan. When you train yourself to feel peace with food and love for the gym, having the body you want is easy. If youre tired of working harder and getting nowhere, and would like to not spend the rest of your life in frustration, comment below with ME. 2020 @nationalrifleleague @dogvalleyprecision match sponsored by @alpha_munitions recap! Zero day: Nice and simple. Got the gun zeroed and chronoed, checked the data on the trueing bar target and away we went. Got to meet up with some old friends that I havent seen because of the rona. Day 1: Boy was I rusty. I think I shot 55% which was just awful. Made some mental errors like forgetting how many rounds I had left to shoot, putting the wrong dope into the gun on the long stage. Never good when you get a 0 on a stage. Day 2: Ok, the rust was knocked off, time to turn up the fire. Started off the day at the long bomber stage going out to 1370 yards. Only dropped 2. Then we got to go to the Adult ring toss which showed all of our squad how out of shape we all were. But seriously, bring that one back @cole_teampoi . With the rust knocked off I was back up to 75% which is where I was when we werent shut down. One the last stage of the day, lightning storm rolled in and caused a cease fire. Nothing says fun like standing out in the open with your friends commiserating in the rain, hail, and wind. Then we go through as fast as we could to go dry off. Our hardworking Grips James Brooks, Dana Mar, Steven Hu, and Carlos Jurado were always at the ready to add shadow where it’s needed, diffuse every harsh beam of sunlight, and bounce back every available lumen where there’s just not enough. Our Special Effects team, Tyler Siemens, Sofia Zyrianova, Hamed Valipour and Helena Reilly, dubbed “The Foggers”, “Fog Buddies”, or “Steam Punks” (depending on who you ask) hid deep in the woods with four fog machines and fans and battled constantly changing winds to fog up our whole forest. The fog not only shaped sun rays and made the forest glow in the moonlight but also became a character in the film slowly creeping in to engulf the characters as their world collapses. On the way to Sholow I did find a second great horned. Though I wanted to pick it up along with the other one, I thought it would be best to leave it in a good way. So we placed it in a nice spot with sage, cedar, tobacco, corn and flowers. I prayed for it and sent it off with a song from my owl flute. • This is the 4th owl that’s come to me (3 great horned and 1 barn) • I’ve been thinking a lot about my owls, what they are here to teach me, how to use them, when to use them and what it is they are guiding me to and protecting me from. It’s been a very uncomfortable process so far but very powerful for me. • I’ve been reading the book “The book of the Hopi” and found that the Anasazi were formed from 4 clans that were hopi and one of the clans was the “owl clan” I am part Anasazi. WHOA. • I found this Hopi Owl Kachina and found out that this owl Kachina (Mongwa) - represents Intelligence, wisdom and Keeps rodents in check. • I am a WOOD RAT • The owls are helping me stay in check, keeping me living within the medicine wheel & Tao, helping me clean and clear thoughts that belong in the “sewer” or “trash” and when my actions are not aligning w/ what it is I am trying to create with my life, the owls got my back. • This is only one of the many lessons that has unfolded for me since the owls came into my life... it’s so fascinating and inspiring. 10 years ago today our families and Byron lost a character larger then life. He was a cheeky bastard, a shit stirrer, he’d always be getting chicks and rapping every Eminem, 50 cent , 2 pac song word for word. 😂He was good at anything he did - surfing, skating , football, school. Just a classic grom from Suffolk park going through school and my best friend who lived across the road . But not only my best friend, but also too a whole range of others young and old (even our old neighbour Raymond who was 60 plus). He had unique and meaningful relationships with everyone throughout the community (even if he was a bully to some). Donny only made it to 20 but had a huge impact on the community young and old. Hundreds of hundreds of people from the area turned up to say goodbye on the Red Devils football field (with letters of grief and love from overseas pouring in and a smoking ceremony from the Indigenous crew from Byron.) It has been the largest turning point and lesson in my life to accept fate but to express gratitude for the good times; the privileges I have; to learn from my run ins with people and my mistakes; and those incredible surfs you get once or twice a year. His death made me go for it all. I’d rather him back just like everyone who has watched someone leave so young. But I’m glad he comes with me wherever I go and have to be thankful for all the childhood memories and laughs we had growing up. This is Ben pretending to be a seppo and surfing (goofy,green board). Don’t even know why I’m sharing this on something that didn’t exist when he was around but I guess this is the positive thing of social media - to share someone’s history forward. What would a film be without good sound? Luckily the one and only Corey McMinn was down to clown with us on set. Corey McMinn was born and raised in Austin, TX. He started his creative passion in the music world, playing drums/percussion and various other instruments. He eventually found his way into audio recording. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at Texas State University in 2017. There, he focused on acting, fight choreographing, and film production. Introducing member of the week, Sam Glasgow! Sam has been managing hop production on Sumas Prairie and Greendale in the heart of the Fraser Valley for the last five years. The hops he grows are used in both the craft and macro market of BC. Sams interest and passion for food production started at a young age of working on berry farms. Going to the University of the Fraser Valley he completed the Agriculture Technology Diploma program in Horticulture. This education gave Sam the tools and knowledge to produce food in the quickly changing world we live in.
