Ο τρύγος ή αλλιώς η γιορτή του καλοκαιριού! Μπορεί να είναι μια αγροτική εργασία όμως για τους χωριανούς ήταν κάτι σαν πανηγύρι! Μαζεύονταν όλοι και βοηθούσαν ο ένας τον άλλο! Οι δουλειές πάντα ήταν μοιρασμένες σε όλους και ο καθένας είχε το πόστο του. Οι γυναίκες εκτός από τη δουλειά στο αμπέλι είχαν να φροντίσουν και για το κολατσιό! Πάντα θα έκαναν ένα διάλειμμα για ξεκούραση και θα απολάμβαναν το γνωστό σε όλους μας ψωμί-τυρί-ντοματα! Ειδικά αν ήταν η εποχή της σταφίδας θα έπρεπε να φροντίσουν εκτός από το κολατσιό να έχουν μαζί τους και κανονικό γεύμα να αφήσουν στους άντρες αφού οι περισσότεροι συνήθιζαν να κοιμούνται τα βραδιά στο αμπέλι... Μπορεί να μην έχω προλάβει να θυμηθώ κάτι τέτοιο όμως έχω ακούσει και ακόμα ακούω αρκετές ιστορίες για τα βραδιά στη σταφίδα! Μπορεί πλέον στη Μεσσηνία να μην έχουμε τόσα αμπέλια όσα υπήρχαν κάποτε όμως μέσα από τις ιστορίες των παππούδων έχω αγαπήσει αυτή την εποχή! Το έχω συνδυάσει όπως το ζύμωμα, φτιάχνεις το προζύμι σου και το κανείς ψωμί! Φτιάχνεις εξολοκλήρου έναν ζωντανό οργανισμό, έτσι και ο μούστος! What a week crazy week here at @natprodexpo in Anaheim, California ☺️☀️ From all my years, coming to #expowest I thought this year I would come early and be super prepared for the setting up our booth and getting organized for our new product launches 🚀 💁🏼‍♀️✅ My eagerness for being ready didn’t help me this time! 😔💚There’s been so much controversy for the cancellation of Expo West due to the Coronavirus 💚 I arrived last weekend, we thought the show would go on, but as time past vendors and buyers were dropping out of the show💚 It brings sadness that the show was canceled but I 100% agree with the decision to cancel the show due to concerns over the large gathering of ppl and COVID-19 💚 My only disappointment is as a small company the large financial and time investment we make for a show like Expo West, and the show not going on 😔💚 For smaller companies, like us @healthycrunch we spend tens of thousands of dollars on Expo West and it to be canceled is hard to take in 💚After shipping all our products down to the show, flying down to #california , purchasing furniture, putting together the furniture, we sat in our booth waiting for the news of whether the show would be canceled 🤔💚 I have attended many trade shows and I have never seen such an empty show floor the day before the show starts, and as time past, we made a company decision that we would not attend the show even though we were already there💚As an #entrepreneur you learn how to deal with ups and downs and difficult situations like this, and ultimately smile and says “it’s just another day in my #entrepreneurlife “ 😆💚💁🏼‍♀️On the brighter side, since the show was canceled that means our team gets a few free days of rest and soaking in the beautiful sunny California sun ☀️☀️☀️☀️ Happy Crunching! 💚☀️💚☀️ #entrepreneurship #expowest2020 #newhopeexpo #business #tradeshow #life #womeninbusiness #business #coronavirus - @julieswholelivingkitchen on Instagram

| STYLING SHELVES - Hands up who has trouble creating the perfect ‘shelfie’?! Some of my sure fire tips to read and save for later below: - Choose a colour palette, I feel like I talk about colour palettes all the time but they are THE basis for everything. Look at what you have for your shelves and group them into colours, then narrow down to two or three to work with including neutral options like whites, creams and greys. - Balance is key, start with your favourite pieces you know you want on show or large items and build around them. - Vary each shelf slightly so you don’t have all shelves with similarly sized items. - Alternate focus from shelf to shelf by using differing shapes is a great way to add interest. - Group items to create vignettes, odd numbers are visually more attractive to the eye. - Stack items on top of books for extra height when needed, this is great when you have two pieces that work well together but are too similar in height. - Take a less is more approach, if the shelves start to look too cluttered take some items away.
