I used to fear long weekends or going away when I was on weight-loss journey because I figured I would ruin all my progress with a few “bad” days.▫️ • Turns out that’s not the case. It took me so long to figure out that a couple days or one week away from your normal routine won’t hurt your long term progress. Back then, I would let doubt creep into my brain, then let it effect me and let it ruin my time.▫️ • But then I learned that everything in moderation is fine and after all consistency is key! You won’t be perfect all the time and you also have to live your life a little. You want your weightloss journey to be sustainable and sometimes a week away can do your body more good than bad with a little rest and relaxation.▫️ • If you want to get a work out in, don’t worry about it being perfect or long, just do what you can with what you have there. For me I don’t set a time of how long I will workout, I’ll just fit in what I can.▫️ • You can continue on your journey but also enjoy yourself. Don’t be scared that you’ll throw it all away because you won’t - remember one “bad” week in the big picture of things is pretty small. Я понял, что Беглов не выпустит спорт из карантина, пока я не выложу неразобранные фото из отпуска. Так что придётся вам потерпеть. Сёрфинг. Я был уверен, что это гораздо легче. Причём, все говорят, что на Бали идеальные условия для серфенгистов любого уровня и даже самых начанающих. И на мой взгляд, это действительно так! Видимо, я не так крут, как думал о себе. Брали два персональных занятия у @dimka_from_russia . И работали только на пенке. За 3 часа, я убивался физически в усмерть. Причём, кажется, что даже не потеешь.🤷‍♂️ Нужно зайти на достаточную глубину, распознавать волны, вовремя разгоняться, грамотно вставать, правильно переносить баланс и.......и так снова и снова, пока уже голова не соображает и тело не слушаются. Уроки у нас были через день. И когда в день отдыха мы просто резвились в океане и смотрели на серферов, нам снова жгуче захотелось встать на доску и снова ловить своих борашков. Надеюсь что скоро вы и мы снова будете на Бали. И если захотите получить радость от сёрфа, очень рекондую @dimka_from_russia Отлично направляет, позволяет понять себя, доску и волны! 715am, Santa Monica Bay. I swam out thinking of you this morning. I miss being able to see your smile, here your laughter as I call and sing you happy birthday. Today, I’m thinking how these same ocean waters brought you such happiness. I can’t help but think that you’ve brought me here, past all my fears and anxiety of the ocean, to help bring me happiness. To help me heal my broken heart. I remember how you would say it was the place that brought you peace. Every morning you would walk down Ocean Park and jump in. Even when you moved 3000 miles away to the east coast, you’d still come out, stay in your favorite little room at the Bayside motel, so hilarious, you loved that place. Btw, It’s still there dad 🤣. You would tell me how you would walk out, let the water come in and wash over you. “It’s my ritual, I like to throw the water up and let it fall on my face”. I know you’re still here, watching over me when I swim out to the place where I never imagined I’d be brave enough to go, where I can’t touch. I can’t believe you never saw me do this....swim in the open ocean. Now it brings me such happiness. And my new friends I swim with, You’d really love them. I wish you could’ve swam with us, you’d love it. I know you’re there with us when we see those dolphins swimming by, watching over us, I can feel your love in those moments. He is a Combat Veteran and an advocate for these homeless #Military #Combat #Veterans who are living on the sidewalk in Los Angeles outside of the fence at the largest #VeteranAdministration establishment in our country. #VeteransRow 🇺🇸 After being in lockdown since March, I drove to let my dogs run on the large empty expanse of grass at the #VA. I was shocked to see a row of tents with American flags. I pulled over and met Herbert at the drop-off site and asked him what was going on. He told me these Veterans, after putting their lives on the line for our country, have been abandoned by their government. 🏕 I was moved to do something immediately so I went to a market and brought back food for the 35 people living on the street. I met Robert, who told me that @TaraElaineBrennan has been providing food for months! Feeling good ☀️💙 over two months plant based diet has really helped with my physical and mental health. Hitting a wall at a stage where I was extremely stressed and physically exhausted I decided I need to make a change. Iv always felt guilty about eating animals but looking In I realised the process of herding an animal into food creates so much stress and anxiety traveling over to us and the way we grow as humans. Make Coaching Great Again! There were a bunch of great coaches, until there weren’t. Competition became more important than improvement. Training became more important than practice. A bunch of gyms grew too fast and didn’t have their coach and staff development keeping pace with the growth of their gym populations. People started programming away from higher skill movements and just getting people to sweat and breathe hard. Having fun became more important than helping people become better versions of themselves. The 1 precious hour of class time started resembling more of a watered down competition training program and less of a general physical preparedness program. Hard workouts took priority over difficult conversions. Classes got too big. Stroking egos became more important than transforming lives. Too many coaches on the edge of burnout just became indifferent. Remember kids, “Good enough”, isn’t. You’re either part of the solution or you’re part of the problem. There is no grey area in this. When motivation fails you, you need to dig deeper and find the true why. Motivation comes and goes, but true passion and determination is what gets you through. I had so many excuses to not go on a run, I was tired, didn’t feel great, had errands to run and chores to be done, so I drove a little faster and cleaned a little quicker because once lunch came, I was going on a run wether or not these things were done. I couldn’t find an excuse better than my goal or bigger than my passion. And I couldn’t be happier that I went on my run yesterday, the fresh air gave me the energy I needed and i couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to run!! All my stress and worries were gone, I forgot about the hills that used to be my “Goliath” I got to the top of the hill when I noticed I ran it and I didn’t need to stop for a breather, these hills used to haunt me, now I’m looking for bigger hills to conquer!! The best part was when I was done, I had energy and patience to finish my day off, I was happy!! I finally see how people can get addicted to running/working out, I can’t go more than 2-3 days without working out before I start to feel a little depressed, then I put on my running shoes and the “feel good” hormones come flooding in and I’m happy again! #justdoit #harderfasterstronger - @elena.k.cam on Instagram

So, first things first, THANK YOU everyone for the support and reinforcement to help me get to this point. And to mark the transition, I completely re-vamped my “shop”. . Got some inspiration from the professors @iliketomakestuff and @workshopedits at YOUTUBE UNIVERSITY (lolz) and added some of my own spins to the designs they came up with to make them my own. Day 17: When I was eleven years old, I hit a patch of gravel on this hill, causing the board and my feet to be swept out from under me. I took the impact with my shoulder giving me a deep scrape. The wound developed into a keloid scar which became raised to about a centimeter. I was so self-conscious about this scar that I wouldnt take my shirt off in public. About twenty years later and a fair amount of soul-searching and some therapy, Ive discovered (among many other things) that I seem to suffer from both body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria. Its been a hell of a time trying to understand and identify these feelings and trying to distinguish the two. Theyve pushed me to question everything I know, including my deepest feelings about God, the nature of the world and humanity, and the societal structures which attempt to shape and mold them. Although there is still much work to be done, there is a certain freedom to understanding my own nature on a deeper level, to understand why I find the image of my own shadow debilitating, why Ive had to compulsively ritualize my actions to avoid nakedness in front of others and why there has always seemed to be this barrier between others and myself that I cant seem to surmount. Understanding and beginning to overcome these things takes honesty to report the facts as you seem to have experienced them, open-mindedness to other peoples viewpoints—particularly of those who have made some sort of progress with similar problems and willingness to take the action implied. Its hard, uncomfortable and embarassing—but I cant stress enough the importance of trying to find clarity through some sort of objectivity and counsel with others. Its hard, but its worth it. The 2020 108 Hole Hike is in the books!...Huge thanks and massive appreciation for all those who jumped in to help support me and our joint effort to raise money and awareness for ‘Feeding San Diego’ that provide food assistance for those who are food insecure and are struggling in these uncertain times. Together we have raised enough money to provide 132,000 healthy meals!!...The first shot was struck in misty conditions 5:40am and the last putt was sunk during a gorgeous sunset at 6:50pm. FALL IS HERE! We have earned this temperature drop after this summer, I can tell you that much! Can’t say enough about my Team, their efforts, and what it’s like to be in the trenches with them...putting in 12-14 hour days. So Im goin straight up Jedi on yall parents asses... heres the science behind the DARK and LIGHT side to power for children. Bullying is a way for children to feel safe and courageous, yet without requiring actual courage. Its a result of evolutionary biology because ostracizing the weak kept the strong together in safe pods (just like in school today). It helped ensure the survival of humankind. Amazingly however, theres another way for children to feel powerful and courageous, but IT MUST BE TAUGHT by parents, so listen up yall Heres your opportunity to teach your kids TRUE POWER, COURAGE & INTEGRITY. Its a chance to teach your children leadership skills, rather than letting fear guide their little hands. This is the LIGHT side of power, rather than the DARK side. .  This is easy and effective when teaching kids in small groups of peers. Teach your children when kids are struggling or being bullied, to band together and STAND UP. Teach them how POWERFUL it can feel! Teach them to say hello and to be kind! Teach them empathy and integrity. Teach them to be leaders and to speak up!  A little kindness can make a BIG difference in a childs life!  The best part is knowing the lessons your children will learn about integrity and their own empowerment will be carried with them through the rest of their lives.  As adults, they will look back on their youth with pride and know they have  the power to choose their own path. Nobody looks back on their life with pride about being a prick and a follower, making people cry, or worse, committing suicide from years of systemic bullying.  .
