Para comer es más caro pero si se lleva comida, no gastas casi nada 🥳 todo lo que es cosas dulces o empanadas se encuentra en los distintos locales a buenos precios. Compartment syndrome is a medical emergency and it needs to be recognized early. A similar situation may occur when an IO cannula is deployed in the wrong position or dislodged during the treatment. That is why you would want to make sure your IO device is in place. There are several ways to verify IO placement: 1. Check for aspiration of bone marrow 2. Flush and watch for swelling 3. Are the medications injected via the IO taking effect on the patient? 4. If available, bedside doppler may be effective in correct position confirmation. Early signs of compartment syndrome - Severe pain, swelling and redness of the affected limb Compartment syndrome is a rare complication associated with IO access. It may occur when the cannula is dislodged from the bone or over penetrated it. Therefore, correct location must be verified by aspiration of bone marrow, saline flush and observation of extravasation signs. In the image above is the result of a fasciotomy performed on a patient who had arrived to a field hospital with compartment syndrome, after being trapped under wreckage of an earthquake and rescued. Sailing update. SV Ever After. Current location, Bodega Bay CA. 740 miles logged. Approximately 500 to go to San Diego. Long passages between ports. Lack of sleep. Constant fog. Rolling seas. Seasick crew member. Heavy smoke and ash from Oregon fires.. Electrical charging issues being addressed. Burning more diesel than we planned. Motored 90% since Labor Day. None the less... Promising days ahead. Anticipate we sail into the Bay Area under the Golden Gate on Sunday. Family and friends coming to meet us. That gives us some encouragement. Shorter passages and friendly sails ahead. In summary theres a reason theres not a lot of sailors north of San Francisco on the left coast. This has been the biggest challenge weve undertaken in quite some time. Weve learned, accomplished and overcome. Its been worth the journey. Despite the really thick smoke in south west BC right now, the team was able to fly to Castle Mountain- in the Garibaldi Park Range- to extricate an injured climber who was hit by a loose rock during the decent. Incredible work done by our Pilot Ben from @blackcombhelicopters who was able to navigate through the thick smoke to reach the subject which allowed us to do what we needed in order to get her out. I haven’t posted a #facetofacefriday in months. Honestly since March I’m up 12 pounds and since June I’m losing and gaining the same 2-3 pounds every freaking week! It’s been frustrating. We’re into Week 3 of the first expedition! The crew on the 9 boats have cleared almost 50 TONS of debris so far. That’s TWICE what we thought we’d do in the ENTIRE expedition! Currently, Some boats are loading lift bags of debris off the beaches onto a barge now by helicopter, while others continue to clear debris from other beaches. Contents include about 2% plastic water bottles , and 50-75% derelict fishing gear (provenance unknown). Next week, the second 21 day expedition will begin. Bullet proof creek set up. A consistent pattern I’ve found over the years is to hunt the windward side of creeks where the wind is blowing across the water. Cruising and bedded deer feel very comfortable with the water on their downwind side. Look for oxbows as prime bedding areas as the deer are basically protected from 3 sides and can smell anything approaching. Deer will get up from these locations and walk the creek while your scent is safely blowing to the other side. With almost a protective barrier on one side they can scent check everything else. I have a couple spots were I’m actually set up on the other side of the creek and shoot over the water. Yes deer do all kinds of things and there will be different patterns available on the other side. - I was mauled by bees yesterday On my upper body they stopped counting at about 360 stingers, not including my head. 51 bees were pulled from my hair. Theres about another 200-300 more on my lower body & head. Stinger in my mouth, ears & eyelids were the worst. Ive never been so scared tbh.
Fly tippers who dumped household waste between Leamington and Southam were traced after an investigation and have donated £1,000 to us, instead of going to court. The police asked the public to recommend a wildlife charity and we were nominated. Were going to use the donation to clear up the litter left at our Bishops Hill nature reserve over the summer. We have a dive day there in October and the donation will pay for all the waste to be removed after the divers have pulled it out of the old quarry pool. - @warwickshirewt on Instagram

Tamarack trees will be showing their yellow fall foliage at our J. Arthur Herrick Fen Preserve - Herrick Fen Preserve features unique geologic, hydrologic, biologic and physical features that resulted from the retreat of glaciers during the last ice age, some 12,000-14,000 years ago. Yoda crossed the rainbow Saturday night! We took him to the emergency clinic because he couldn’t hold on any longer. And I didn’t want him to hang on for me. He passed very quickly and quietly.
