On September 21 two animal services officers, one animal care technician and one of our amazing local veterinarians (@animalmcmv) deployed to assist with the emergency response for the North Complex Fire in Butte County. Initially our teams were working out in the field checking burnt out and evacuated areas for missing and injured animals. Staff wrangled donkeys, pigs and a number of cats and dogs. Our teams split up on Wednesday with one team continuing to work in the field, and the other working with the sheltering needs of the animals impacted by the fire. We were one of the few teams with a veterinarian, and we were able to set up a field hospital to tend to the animals suffering from burns and dehydration. In the midst of all the chaos and sadness our very own Dr. Fahrtash was able to help a sweet mama dog suffering from burns who was in the middle of giving birth. This girl delivered 14 very cute puppies (swipe👈🏼for the photo!) We are so happy that we can help our neighbors to the north, and provide our exceptional Mission Viejo animal care to these creatures in crisis. Success! Hong Kong officials have seized a historic 26 tonnes of shark fins! An estimated 38,500 endangered sharks, valued at $1.1 million USD were recovered inside a pair of shipping containers from Ecuador, revealed on Wednesday. Unfortunately, 90% of the shark fins were from protected species including 31,000 thresher sharks and 7,500 silky sharks. Customs officers arrested the importer, however, the 57-year-old man has been granted bail pending further investigation. South China Morning Post reported, “two containers arrived from Ecuador within 10 days of each other in January, but the huge haul was only discovered when customs officers opened the containers at their Kwai Chung cargo examination compound on April 28 and May 4.” Aside from the two Ecuador consignments, customs officers this year had already seized 15 tonnes of shark fins worth HK$5.4 million and made two arrests. Hadi Santoso, dan Asisten Pemerintahan dan Kesejahteraan Rakyat (Asisten 1) Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi meninjau langsung progres pembangunan Jembatan Kedungkandang belum lama ini. Di sela agenda tinjau lapangan tersebut, Sekretaris Daerah Kota Malang Drs. Wasto menyampaikan, tidak ada evaluasi atas pembangunan Jembatan Kedungkandang tersebut. Lantaran proses telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan jadwal yang dibuat. Awalnya kami pikir tidak akan selesai di satu tahun anggaran, tapi ternyata ini selesai, katanya. Progres pembangunannya pun bahkan saat ini sudah memasuki tahap 50 persen. Artinya, pembangunan tidak memiliki kendala cukup berarti meski dilakukan selama pandemi covid-19. Para pekerja pun menyesuaikan dengan protokol kesehatan. Salah satunya dengan membagi pada beberapa kelompok. Dalam satu kelompok, tidak lebih dari 20 pekerja yang melakukan pekerjaannya masing-masing. Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Penataan Ruang Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman (DPUPRPKP) Kota Malang Ir. Hadi Santoso menambahkan, saat ini dilakukan tahap pemasangan balok girder. Pemasangan dilakukan secara membentang dari arah selatan. Pemasangan balok girder tersebut sesuai jadwal terakhir dilaksanakan pada pertengahan Oktober mendatang. Setelahnya akan dilanjutkan dengan proses pengecoran, dan menunggu waktu kurang lebih 21 hari lalu dilakukan pengaspalan. Tanggal 28 September selain menjadi hari bersejarah bagi Perkeretaapian Indonesia karena kekuasaan perkeretaapian berhasil diambil alih secara penuh oleh RI dari tangan penjajah tahun 1945 lalu, tanggal tersebut juga merupakan tanggal PLH anjloknya KA Argo Bromo Anggrek di dekat Stasiun Manggarai, Jakarta Selatan (28 September 2008) sekitar pukul 09.00 WIB. Tidak ada korban jiwa dalam kecelakaan ini, seluruh penumpang yang berada dalam kereta api tersebut langsung dievakuasi dengan kereta lain untuk melanjutkan perjalanan ke stasiun gambir. This morning I watched a press conference from a canning redemption center called @surewecannyc in Brooklyn, which got an eviction notice just before the pandemic. This is one of the places where bottle + can collectors trade their loads for the refundable deposits, except this one is a nonprofit that also serves as a community center. . Sure We Can is at risk of losing its 14,000 sqft lot — which takes 11 million bottles and cans out of the wastestream and put $700,000 back into the community, according to a founder — if they can’t secure a $2.3 million nonprofit capital funds grant from the city council before the budget is settled at the end of this week. ($1 million of that would come from the Brooklyn Borough president’s budget, already pledged by Eric Adams.) This is a tough year for budget requests of any form, and the organization is asking supporters to press their city council members in support. . There are other places that take cans. But only SureWeCan has a mission to remove the stigma in working as a collector. “I have noticed over the years that we are treated as subhuman, and that’s exactly the opposite of who and what we are,” said Pierre Simmons, a Brooklyn canner who presented this morning: “We’re independent workers.” He spoke alongside a state senator, a congressman, a boro prez + a former governor of Chicago. Já em Tubarão-SC outro grupo de 10 alunos soldados foram acionados para descarregar os materiais no hospital. São diversos materiais como camas hospitalares, respiradores pulmonares e materiais diversos, para ajudar no tratamento de possíveis vítimas com coronavírus Covid-19. Fakta-fakta yang ditemukan di daerah tersebut saat turun ke lokasi meliputi daerah bantaran sungai dibuat TPS (Tempat Pembuangan Sampah) oleh warga setempat, banyak anak-anak mandi di sungai, dan sungai sebagai tempat pemancingan warga. **Another Successful Shutdown!** The Ferrycarrig Team have succeeded in installing 68m of single concrete encased pipe. We have two more 56 hour weekend shutdowns remaining on this project. Once these shutdowns are completed, all our major works on the road and road crossings will be complete and we will start to concentrate on final connections and pit works. Work is carried out in both day shifts and night shifts as the majority of work is being installed under live roads. Extensive traffic management and traffic control has been undertaken to allow for safe install. Working under live traffic conditions poses many risks. Ferrycarrig have safely undertaken these works via installation of shoring and safely installed road plates at the end of each shift to ensure the safe movement of on coming traffic over our works during daytime hours. To reduce the amount of disruption to local traffic, Ferrycarrig has undertaken three 56 hour weekend shutdowns so far to reduce our program of works on the road. Well done to our crews on the ground and behind the scenes. Estamos concluindo o último trecho que faltava para concluir as obras da Rua Pintor Manoel Bandeira, em Casa Caiada. A via recebeu terraplanagem, pavimentação e drenagem, e será feita ainda a sinalização de trânsito. A obra foi realizada através de emenda parlamentar da Deputada Luciana Santos (PCdoB). A via tem aproximadamente 700 metros. O término da obra irá ajudar a melhorar o tráfego em Olinda, porque permitirá uma nova ligação da região da Av. Carlos de Lima Cavalcanti com a FUNESO, facilitando o acesso à PE-15 e à Perimetral. Essa era uma grande reivindicação dos moradores da rua. Há mais de 25 anos, que as pessoas que moram ou que utilizam a via para se locomover, lutavam para que fosse asfaltada. Dua remaja asal Sonosari, Kebonagung, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang, yakni Ahmad Nabil (15) dan juga Albasesa Prasetyo (15) menjadi korban perampasan di kawasan Jalan Halmahera, Kelurahan Ciptomulyo, Kecamatan Sukun, Kota Malang pada Sabtu (19/9/2020) sekitar pukul 20.00 wib. Dua pelaku perampasan yang mengendarai sebuah sepeda motor matic, mengaku menjadi anggota polisi. Pelaku juga sempat menodong korban dengan menggunakan pistol yang diduga merupakan Air Softgun untuk menakuti kedua korban. Zainul Arifin (36) ayah dari korban Ahmad Nabil menjelaskan, jika kejadian tersebut bermula saat korban pulang potong rambut. Terus anak-anak ini bilang selesaikan kekeluargaan, mau nelepon ibunya tapi pelaku ini bilang enggak usah ikut saja ke Polres, jelasnya, Minggu (20/9/2020). Setelah itu, satu pelaku kemudian berpindah membonceng korban menggunakan motor korban dan satu korban kemudian dibonceng oleh pelaku menggunakan motor pelaku. Keduanya kemudian dari Lemah Duwur melaju menuju kawasan Jalan Halmahera. Begitu sampai di situ (Jalan Halmahera), langsung disuruh turun sambil kembali menunjukkan pistol, lalu HP-nya diambil sama pelaku dan kemudian pelaku kabur sama sepeda motornya. Yang dibawa kabur dua HP. Kalau motornya ini milik ayah dari Albasesa. Saat itu situasi di lokasi kejadian juga sepi, sehingga pelaku bisa langsung kabur ke arah selatan, bebernya. On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 11:38 a.m., #MDFR received a call of a traffic accident in the area of SW 147 Ave. & SW 80 St. Upon arrival, units found a white vehicle that had struck a tree with one patient trapped. A total of three MDFR units worked diligently and were able to extricate the patient within 15 minutes of arrival. #Rescue57 transported one trauma alert patient to the hospital for further treatment.
