Well folks, poor Dougie has another corneal ulcer, and this one is much worse than the last one. Our regular vet was able to get us an appointment today with a specialist in San Francisco. Dougie is on new meds, and they are going to re-evaluate him early Wednesday morning. If there isn’t significant improvement, however, they will perform surgery. Ontem, essa 📷 do Spock com um tic tac segurando a franja, descabelado, com um clicker na boca me chamando pra treinar, causou muitas reações no story. 😅 Mas gnt, a vida real é assim! Tem dias que vc é atropelado e não da conta nem de escovar o cabelo. E tudo bem! Desopile, respire e pense em como melhorar! Sempre haverá um jeito! No meu relacionamento com os tutores, sempre tento lembrá-los que o bem-estar de todos os envolvidos importa. Não adianta se matar de fazer mil coisas para o seu cão se vc não tem tempo nem de comer. Eu sempre bato na tecla do equilíbrio. Tem que ser bom pra todos e às vezes é necessário fazer escolhas. Por isso que a gnt trabalha, cada um no seu ritmo, no seu tempo, com a sua realidade, de mãos dadas, construindo esse ganha-ganha diariamente. Uma vez eu estava num piquenique ➕, com a vida do avesso, mas me desdobrando para dar conta de tudo. Lá pelas tantas, um adestrador do grupo anfitrião olhou para o Spock e falou: “BOA SORTE! SHIH TZU NÃO APRENDE!”. Eu apenas respondi que não concordava. Fui embora pensando na falta de acolhimento e empatia vindo de onde eu menos esperava esse tipo de preconceito. Foi ali que eu tive certeza do tipo de caminho que eu não queria seguir. Hoje, eu trabalho ajudando famílias a entenderem e melhorarem o relacionamento com seus cães, a CONEXÃO. Não estamos interessados em exibição ou competição... estamos focados no bem-estar. Eu considero cada família, com todas as suas individualidades, única... Me vejo neles muitas vzs e busco acolher todos os casos com todo o meu coração, respeitando suas histórias e seus momentos. E, se algum dia eu falhei em perceber que precisavam de um pedacinho maior de mim, peço perdão. Às vzs a gnt acha que tá dando conta de tudo e falha. Faz parte. Ahhhh!
