New Harry Potter book to be released in July

A few minutes ago, I found out that the best neighbor I ever had passed away. Eli Perry was more generous than I know how to articulate. He would spend all day welding in the sky as an iron worker, then come home and teach me how to fix cars. Without him, @aribeausoleil and I would never have been able to restore our first van. He taught me the joys of pounding machinery with sledgehammers, and melting metal with fire. At any given time, there would be well over a dozen animals in his home; all rescues, and all seniors. ▪️ He was unapologetically himself. Generous, genuine, and so damn cool. I got a lot of questions about how I made my vampire killer whip, so here you go! The cross guard and pommel are 3d printed, with each side of the cross a separate print for the details to best align with print layers. I actually did almost no finishing on this print, just some sanding to 200 grit. I tried a new technique for the handle, tracing wood grain onto an oak dowel, I carved it out with a dremel cutting bit. Then I stained it with some beeswax and painted some exaggerated relief. To wrap it up its just a leather strap for Joannes. The chain is a 10 plastic chain off Amazon that i created a socket for the end link inside the print of the cross,so the print would have to be broken apart to get the chain out. For the spike ball, I created a cylinder out of Eva floor mats and sanded it to a vall with a mouse sander. The spikes are more Eva foam attached with contact cement and shaped with a dremel. To seal it I just blasted it with plasti dip, including the pour-on type, to give it a lumpy, wrought iron look. All the metal parts are painted with rub n buff. This is by far the most durable prop Ive built yet, and survived both lots of swinging of the chain (videos to come) but the foam ball is also durable and non destructive to what it hits. At worst it feels like a hit from a dodge ball :p. Hope this is informative! 🇷🇺(🇬🇧➡️) Всегда интересно заглянуть по другую сторону экрана. Когда выходил Гарри Поттер, узнать новости со съёмочной площадки было довольно сложно. Но создатели фильмов прекрасно понимали важность таких сопроводительных материалов (а ещё их цену😆), так что нам достались интервью и ролики behind the scenes, выходившие бонусом на DVD. Я собрала оттуда несколько интересных фактов, касающихся Беллатрисы: ⠀ 🔸Хелена Бонем Картер была в восторге от своих накладных ногтей и зубов и даже забрала последние себе на память после съёмок (а вот Эмма в первом фильме не могла четко разговаривать с накладной челюстью, и от каноничных зубов пришлось отказаться) ❗На заметку косплеерам: создавая образ Беллатрисы не забудьте покрасить пятнами свои зубы специальной черной гримёрной эмалью или спиртовым гримом, эта деталь добавит образу реалистичности и сделает его более отталкивающим. ⠀ 🔸В одном из роликов Эмма Уотсон с гримером Амандой Найт показывали как делались Черные Метки. Оказалось это были переводные татуировки! Что позволяло быстро наносить эту деталь грима. Для точного попадания в одно и то же место в разные дни после каждого гримирования делалась отдельная фотография руки актера. ❗Этот метод легко применим и в косплее, переводки можно сделать самостоятельно, распечатав их на лазерном принтере на специальной бумаге для тату или заказав в магазине или типографии. ⠀ 🔸В сцене, в которой Беллатриса пытает Гермиону, она вырезает «mudblood» на ее руке -- изначально этого не было в сценарии, это совместная идея актрис, появившаяся на стадии подготовки. ❗Хотите увидеть мастер-класс на тему изготовления такого шрама в разных техниках?
