The latest and most serious of these threats, SARS-CoV-2, has infected us through a pangolin, the worlds most trafficked mammal, sold in a wet market in Wuhan, China. We knew that nature was going to fight back. We anticipated that the ice melting was going to increase the sea level, the pollution was going to produce us lounge cancer, the destruction of the ozone field was going to cause skin cancer and many other problems. But we didnt expect that something as apparently irrelevant as the wildlife trade, that was only endangering biodiversity, could be able to provoke a health crisis like this coronavirus outbreak.
