How I struggle with not enjoying this as much as I thought I would. Then I got overwhelmed by all the love and messages from people all over the world that it’s OK to not feel a bundle of joy all the time. Having constant pain in your pelvic kind of takes a little joy out of it all. But with that saying, this doesn’t mean I’m not happy with having another baby or that I’m ungrateful. 5 years ago today I was bugged that I was still pregnant and showing no signs of labor whatsoever, so I decided to head up the mountains and go on my family reunion camping trip. Little did I know that later that night at this exact moment, 5 years ago, I’d be lying on a cot when my water would break, and after a frantic drive back down the mountain we’d make it to the hospital with 20 minutes to spare before this little firecracker literally shoved her way into this world. Reese made me a momma. She’s seen me at my absolute rock bottom worst, as well as brought me more joy than I ever thought possible! I love this beautiful soul more than she’ll ever know. the feeling i get in my chest at a concert is something i can only get from live music, whether i’m on stage or in the audience. without shows, i’ve felt really lost, both as an artist and a person. i miss the feeling of connecting with thousands of people, for different reasons and different emotions and different memories, all through the same songs. that’s the one place on this whole earth where i feel fully myself and fully at home and my chest feels so full i could cry and explode simultaneously. im sure a lot of artists can relate to the fact that it’s hard to feel confident and validated by data and statistics alone. we need to see audiences dancing and singing and crying and connecting to really feel the payoff. i can be timid in the studio and often i doubt myself as a creator, but performing has always felt like the place where i don’t ever have to think twice..just really missing it and really looking forward to a time when i’ll feel like myself again.. and vid #7 if you know me you know that moment was the peak of my existence - @chelseacutler on Instagram

I’ve been kind of in a workout funk lately. Basically going into the gym without any real clear plan OR on the flip side I have a plan, but it’s not something I’m real motivated to do. This happens every now and then for me, especially when I get bored with my training routine or if I just don’t really care to put time into creating a new one because I’m too focused on other things. I know it’s a shocker for me to say all this, because it seems like I may always be motivated to work out based on my content I post, but really thats been far from it lately. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE working out and I preach movement for a living, but sometimes I JUST GET BORED! And when I get bored, I get unmotivated. I need challenge. Personally body building just isn’t where it’s at for me. I need strength training, functional movement patterns, variety of fitness, and high intensity. Maybe you’re here too. Maybe you can’t get out of a funk either. So here are a few things I’m trying that have been helping me out of that workout funk and have more excitement towards training: 1️⃣ - Keeping my workouts interesting. I’m starting to incorporate new movements into my routine and learning how to improve and develop new motor patterns and give my body new stimulation. Keep things interesting and you’ll never get bored of the same routine. I used muscles I’ve never used rock climbing 🤣 2️⃣ - Writing out goals. What do I actually want to accomplish with my time in the gym? Is it performance? Is it aesthetics? Is it mobility? Honing in on what matters most to me right now and what I’m after helps me stay focused. 3️⃣ - Keeping consistency and progressive overload at the forefront with programming. Knowing when my rest days vs training days are and knowing which days are upper or lower focused and knowing what other days I can throw in different workout styles (CrossFit vs yoga vs cycling vs running). This gives me variety but also control over my routine. Hope these tips help you if you’re also in a workout funk! TAG a friend who needs this! #transformationtuesday . First time pushing up to #wheelpose all in one push since my shoulder and wrist injury last April. Ive done a handful of wheels lately, but until today, nothing that felt normal. . The longer I practice, the more perspective I have on things like progress. This may not be my best backbend ever, but it represents a huge win in my healing process and practice! And overall, Ive definitely made strength and flexibility gains since I first started documenting my practice in 2015. 🧐 Bends are not easy for me - my body resists. But I know the different elements to warm up, to strengthen, to engage, so I have the tools to find progress. . Injury can be frustrating and humbling, but also an invaluable teacher. Babysitting my nephew and weaving is a familiar level of multitasking. It took me back to the moment when I decided to take weaving more seriously. I was 16 years old, fresh out of high school and enrolled at the local college. My youngest brother was 3 years old at the time. My parents made enough to get by, but not enough to pay for childcare, let alone my tuition. I told my brother, who was attentively watching me warp my loom, “I will weave so you will never be hungry, so we will have fuel to get to school and to ensure my tuition is paid for..” Reflecting on that sweet memory, I am so thankful the college let me pay my tuition in installments while attending class and that all of my instructors didn’t mind my brother sitting in class with me... Fast forward to now, my nephew sitting on my lap as I approach the completion of this saddle blanket, I tell him something new., “I weave so you will continue this lifeway. {40 Weeks} Baby is here! 🎉 I loved hearing everyones encouragement last week as we were anxiously awaiting Andrens arrival. The next day labor contractions started at 9pm! 🤯 I am so thankful for my doula Justine Ballon who came to the house and helped me through labor until it was time to go to the hospital. (Shameless plug for any pregnant mamas who are thinking about a doula -she is the BEST). We arrived at Long Beach Memorial at 1:20am and Andren was born at 4:49am! (my doctor actually didnt make it in time 🙄😅, but thats another story!). There were a few complications, but ultimately Andren and I are both healthy and were able to come home the next day! 🎉 Giving birth during COVID is unique, and I am so grateful God has blessed me with such and encouraging and supportive husband ( Brandt Carson) to get me through it ❤ . I could not have done it without him by my side. He was my advocate. He was my cheerleader. He made me feel safe, loved, strong, and beautiful. And most importantly, he showed me Gods presence and truth 🥰 Another big thank you to my mama ( Cynthia Abeyta) who came up to watch Cayden and help the first 2 days as we transitioned to a family of 4! Bringing home a new baby is hard: and I am exhausted. Im encouraged to remember that this is only for a season, and one day soon I will enjoy the bliss of uninterrupted sleep, that my body will feel like my body again, and that Cayden will grow to fully understand what gentle means 🙈 For now I am trying to take in every moment, because one day I will look back and miss these days so much! - @someplacesunny on Instagram

We’re rounding out (literally) the last few weeks of pregnancy and feeling EVERY second of it!! Putting on socks/shoes and sprinting to the bathroom a million times a day are the most intense workouts I’m doing lately 😅I haven’t been to the gym in weeks but we’ve got a pretty good thing going with the treadmill at home 😉 This big ol belly is taking a toll on my little frame and anything that feels good (or doesn’t hurt- let’s be real) wins at this point. Everything is soft, thiccc and off balance. Sleep isn’t happening. Pregnancy is HARD WORK! It’s incredible what a woman’s body can do. Beyond ready for little boo to join us. Today was your due date little one. - Today we were supposed to feel your little fingers curl around ours. Today we would have possibly heard your cry for the very first time. Today was supposed to be the start of a new season for us. But instead, it just feels like another day. We will never know what day your birthday would have actually been, but we know God had the sweetest purpose for your life before it ended much too early. I’ve dreaded this day for a while now—knowing what could have been. But I also know it’s just a day and it doesn’t define the amazing ways God has used your little life to touch us and to touch others. I would give anything to have been able to hold you. But I know God is holding your little body and I know you are completely healed and whole. So even though I have a sad mama’s heart, my heart is content knowing that truth. - This is a picture I never intended to post. This was a day in a dressing room where I was trying to find new things to fit my ever-changing body. This day in particular I could see my “bump” growing and I snapped this quick picture to send to my mom and show her. I don’t really like this picture of me, nor did I ever plan to post it... but it’s funny how much these pictures you don’t like become your favorite when you lose something in them. I never knew how much I would look back on these unflattering photos and wish I could feel what I felt in that exact moment all over again. So no, I never pictured myself posting this, but I also never imagined this day coming and having to mourn the loss of our child. Life doesn’t always make sense—and that’s real life. •11 days left• As I hold you close these last few days; I wake up with excitement and find myself with slight anxiety. Excited to meet you, see what you look like and what features you took from myself and your daddy. Excited to hear your cry for the first time, kiss all your little fingers and toes and feel your soft skin against mine. Anxious with the world you are entering into. It’s not like anything I’ve grown up knowing and hope I do my best raising you in this unknown territory. I’m anxious knowing that anything could happen on your big day. If these past 8.5 months have taught me anything it’s that NOTHING ever goes as planned or turns out the way we think it will. I’m walking into this chapter with the mentality that you will help me, guide me and tell me what you need. I’m going to do my best to give you the life you deserve and continue to keep you safe. Being connected to you these past 8.5 months has taught me more than you’ll ever know. I owe you the world already and I barely know you. Keeping you safe and knowing I can protect you has been satisfying and kept me grounded. Knowing that you will soon enter this world and I will have to teach you everything, while also keeping you safe at a distance is terrifying, but also exciting! You are my first and I’m completely vulnerable to this chapter in life with you. I have never loved someone so much and known them so little. Goddess much? JK. I kept beating myself for feeling like shit for most of my pregnancy. And then a WHOLE PERSON popped out and I was like, oh yeah there was a whole dude inside of me. That’s why. Pregnancy was hard. I didn’t want to be on IG and see all the happy beautiful people. I wanted to cocoon in my apartment and watch reality tv until 2am every night, and I did. Thank you 90 Day Fiancé and all of your spinoffs. Now that Miles is out, I feel so much better. For mamas who don’t like being pregnant, it’s OK and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Best thing about being pregnant: despite it all, the hormones made me super chill when I’m normally anxious. Worst thing: Nausea and vomiting 🤮. I shared my transformation on my story & many of you commented you had always assumed I had a “fit or healthy” journey. So I thought I’d do a little back story🥰 I once counted calories. Everything was either good or bad for you. I now see food as fuel. Food fuels my body. I once punished myself with exercise. I now see exercise as a celebration. It’s a privilege & blessing to be able to move my body. I once thought that lifting heavy weights would make me manly or bulky, I now know better. I once thought carbs & fat would make me fat & in order to lose weight or see results I had to eat under 1000 calories of “clean foods.” Carbs & fat make up the bulk of my diet now. . I battled eating & workout disorders. Gymnastics & diet culture ran deep & it took years to overcome but I overcame those demons & they no longer hold a grip over my life. I had a hard loss at making history my senior year of highschool w. severe ankle injuries while competing on a broken ankle. I lost by .025. I then had a career ending injury my sophomore year of college. The video is of me getting back up 7 years later & doing the very skill that ended my career & caused so much turmoil in my life. This is part of where the name @twenty2nutrition comes from 😉 I endured sexual abuse...I’m no longer a victim.🙌🏽 . I wanted quick fixes & to change everything about my body. I now know that quick fixes don’t exist. Change takes time & I have loved my body more than ever over the last 4 years of my life NOT because of how I look but my my outlook on myself, my body & mindset. I survived a car accident that should have killed me. That was my wake up call. That moment of almost losing my life showed me I had a choice. I could choose to continue walking around miserable holding onto the past, the things that weren’t going right & always focusing on the negatives OR I could focus on the blessings right in-front of me & choose to be thankful in that moment for what I was blessed with. Change takes time. It’s a process, a journey, & a lifestyle. Your life is not a race, so stop shooting for a finish line.
