- Is anyone able to help me identify this Pu’erh? I received it as a gift in S Korea in 2012. The previous owner was also gifted this tea and was told it was from Taiwan and produced in the 70s though we were both skeptical of that. The only thing I can make out is Yunnan (雲南) on the right. TY🙏

- There’s always a myth about the tea twigs. Tea is considered lower quality if it contains more twigs which are supposed to be picked and dumped before the tea is packed for preservation. The truth is that the tea twigs contain more theanine than any other parts of the tea tree.

- Today Im trying this Yunnan da hong red (golden monkey) tea in my new pot. The leaf is so pretty, and the smell of the hot dry leaf in the pot is enchanting. Chocolatey, nutty, hay. The taste is malty, light cacao note, but also an almost bergamot flavour!
