Wie woont waar? Het Buurserzand kent een aantal dassen- en vossenburchten. Uiteraard weten de boswachters in het gebied precies waar deze te vinden zijn. Dat gaan we niet openbaar maken om de rust te bewaren. We zijn wel nieuwsgierig naar de manier waarop de dieren van deze burchten gebruik maken. Dat gaan we onderzoeken. De burchten kennen we en daar waar we het ene jaar de penetrante lucht van een vos waarnemen kan het zo maar zijn dat we het volgende jaar de krassen van dassenpoten tegenkomen. Het antwoord op de vraag wie er exact wanneer in welke burcht woont is daarmee nog niet beantwoord. Dat willen we graag inzichtelijk maken en sinds maart struinen er daarom twee studenten door het veld om dit te onderzoeken en om dit in kaart te brengen. We willen uiteindelijk inzichtelijk maken in welke jaren burchtlocaties bewoond zijn. Black Footed Ferrets, especially as kits, will hop back and forth in what is called a “ferret dance.” Last fall, Black Footed Ferret kits were released in the park to help boost the population genetics of this endangered and elusive mammal. Recent surveys revealed survival through the last year. During spotlight surveys, staff placed readers over prairie dog holes that will scan for a chip in order to identify animals and determine if they have been vaccinated against Sylvatic Plague. Desmodus rotundus è una specie di pipistrello detta vampiro vero di Azara. È un pipistrello dalle medie dimensioni, ha un corpo che varia dai 68 e 93 mm, un avambraccio tra i 53 e 65 mm, le orecchie possono variare da 15 a 20 mm per un peso di 45 gr. Hanno degli incisivi molto lunghi e sviluppati, e la loro bocca e poi composta da piccoli denti. Forma colonie dai 20 ai 100 individui, ma sono state ritrovate anche colonie di 5000 esemplari. È un animale che vive in tutta l’America del Sud dentro a grotta con spiragli di luce. Il suo nome deriva appunto dal fatto che, si nutre esclusivamente di sangue di altri vertebrati, si nutre soprattutto di animali domestici grazie appunto ai suoi incisivi. I suoi movimenti sono agili e furtivi, non atterra sulla preda ma nelle sue vicinanze, e si avvicina ad essa con piccoli passetti e saltelli. Negli ultimi anni sono stati riscontrati attacchi anche a bambini compresi tra gli 8 e i 15 anni, che dopo il loro morso viene contratta la rabbia e nella maggior parte dei casi sopravviene la morte. Sono animali molto altruisti tra loro, alcuni esemplari possono rigurgitare il proprio pasto ai piccoli o altri membri della colonia. Si riproduce tutto l’anno, le nascite hanno due picchi tra Aprile e Maggio e tra Settembre e Ottobre e verrà data alla luce un piccolo oppure un parto gemellare sennò. La gestazione dura circa 7 mesi e nascerà un piccolo da 5 a 7 grammi. Vivono in media in natura circa 12 anni mentre in cattività anche fino a 19 anni. Uma raposinha passando pela sua timeline. ✨ Eu n sei pq escolhi essa foto, talvez seja só pra combinar com o feed, mas eu precisava falar algumas coisas que n seriam ilustradas por uma selfie. De uns tempos pra cá, eu venho percebendo que as pessoas na internet vem se tornando cada vez mais iguais, tanto a cara quanto no comportamento nas redes sociais. Eu cansei de ver as mesmas caras, as mesmas dancinhas de tiktok( me julguem eu n consegui ser tiktoker), os mesmos challenges, as mesmas caras e bocas de sempre. Eu sei que pode ser uma fase, sei que pode ser eu mesma que nunca tive muita fé no ser humano, mas pelo menos pra mim tá tudo meio saturado. Por vezes eu já tentei criar coragem de me mostrar mais como sou, fazer o que gosto e postar e foda-se, mas no fundo sempre me importei com o que “os outros” iriam achar, se iriam rir de mim, se estaria feio ou mal feito... mas até a quarentena me fez perceber que ninguém se importa, só vai lá e faz sabe? E não espere apreço de ninguém, nem daqueles que dizem: to contigo! Pois são os primeiros a não dar valor no teu trabalho e a não se importar. Só faz por você, seja você mesmo e tente ser diferente de todas as milhões de caras que a gnt vê igual por aí. Eu penso muito em gravar vídeos conversando, falando sobre coisas do dia a dia, meus gostos de séries e filmes, ate mesmo cantando, mas a minha ansiedade não me deixa sair da vontade, e isso é horrível, mas isso já seria outro textão que eu sei que muita gente nem esse aqui vai ler kkk Enfim, eu só precisava desabafar um pouco sobre o que ando sentindo sobre redes sociais, pessoas e vontades. Esse vírus me fez ver que a gnt pode morrer daqui prali e não fazer muita coisa que tem vontade. Por isso voltei a me tatuar, por isso gravei vídeo cantando( criando coragem pra postar), e valorizo cada dia mais quem tá comigo. (E aprendia a me valorizar também, chega). Mas é isso, minha cabeça pensa e sente muita coisa que não mostro por aqui e talvez nem devesse, mas eu precisava escrever sobre. Ah, the elusive and fantastic pine marten! Martens may avoid open ground to reduce the risk of predation. Pine martens aren’t confined to woodland, but each animal requires from 86 to 166 hectares of woodland within its territory. Once found across Britain, the pine marten was prone to persecution until relatively recently. Though it has recovered a little from a dramatic decline, the species is still rare. Scotland’s population is estimated at 3,700 adult pine martens. The species was given full legal protection in 1988. Pine martens are once again established across much of Scotland north of the central belt, with outlying populations in parts of the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway. We track radio-collared adult females to their dens and count, weigh, sex, measure, collect DNA and ear-tag the kittens so that we can identify individuals on remote cameras that we place at the mothers kills.
