Akibat digigit ular berbisa jenis bandotan (Calloselasma rhodostoma), tangan kanan Wagiyo bengkak, melepuh, dan berwarna hitam hingga sulit digerakkan.⠀ ⠀ Informasi yang dihimpun Solopos.com, gigitan ular itu didapat Wagiyo saat dia membersihkan ladang ladangnya pada Senin (28/9/2020). Selesai membabat rumput dan dedaunan, ia beristirahat sejenak dengan duduk di atas bebatuan. Tanpa disangka, dari celah batu itu terdapat ular bandotan yang dikenal berbisa dengan racun tinggi.⠀ ⠀ Ular itu tiba-tiba menggigit lengan kanan Wagiyo. Spontan Wagiyo mengibaskan lengan kanannya hingga gigitan ular itu terlepas. Sambil menahan sakit akibat gigitan ular, Wagiyo pun pulang dan menganggap semua akan baik-baik saja. Namun, beberapa saat kemudian, dia merasakan nyeri yang luar biasa pada lengan kanannya.⠀ ⠀ Setelah dibujuk rayu keluarga, Wagiyo akhirnya bersedia dibawa ke RSUD dr. Soeratno Gemolong. Akan tetapi, saat itu ia menolak saran dokter untuk dirawat inap. Dia hanya minta dirawat jalan dengan diberi sejumlah obat pereda nyeri. Akan tetapi, setelah diminum beberapa hari, obat itu ternyata tidak cukup efektif menangkal racun ular.⠀ ⠀ Alih-alih sembuh, dampak gigitan ular itu justru semakin mengganas. Selain membengkak, lengan kanan Wagiyo juga melepuh dan menghitam seperti gosong. Terdapat benjolan-benjolan di permukaan kulit yang berisi cairan. Kondisi itu membuat lengan kanan Wagiyo sulit untuk digerakkan.⠀ ⠀ Pada Rabu (30/9/2020) sore, sukarelawan dari PMI Sragen datang untuk menjemput Wagiyo dan membawanya ke RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen. Pemerintah Desa (Pemdes) Ngargosari juga datang untuk membujuk Wagiyo supaya mau dibawa ke rumah sakit.⠀ ⠀ Akan tetapi, bujukan dari sukarelawan PMI, Pemdes Ngargosari dan keluarga tidak bisa mengubah pendirian dari Wagiyo.
