Eased Guidelines for Farmers Markets Coming This afternoon Governor Ralph Northam announced that more flexibility is coming for farmers markets related to foot traffic and prepared food. Secretary Bettina Ring said written guidelines will be finalized in the coming week. In a conversation with VAFMA Executive Director Kim Hutchinson, VDACS Commissioner Jewel Bronaugh conveyed that the two main changes regarding farmers markets will be that markets can now use on site browsing and on site dining. She emphasized that markets must continue to adhere to the principles of social distancing and no congregation. There must continue to be 6 feet between customers as well as 10 feet between vendors. Vendors must continue to use personal protective equipment as previously outlined. They recommend that customers use face coverings as well. ⁣ ☀️ there’s a counseling and psychological services center on my campus and outside of their main office, they have this “stop student suicide” board with a bunch of these wooden squares on it. my friends and i visited the office because i knew these panels were outside and i wanted to write a note on one of them because i had seen a bunch of them on campus and appreciated them a lot (pics 2 and 3). when my friends and i got to the office, we found out that all the panels had been filled out and we spent some time reading through each one and admiring how much love us students have for one another and for our community. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ☀️ i chose to post these pictures because i believe we all need this kind of positivity and love right now. the world is currently a scary place,with covid-19 being declared a pandemic and with self-quarantine being in full play. we should do our parts by staying home if we can, or staying home as much as possible and social distancing, and we should realize that being safe and being able to stay at home is a privilege. thank you to the healthcare workers and to everyone doing their part during this pandemic by staying home or by saving lives. it is very hard right now, i agree, but worrying and stressing will only add to our collective anxiety. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ☀️to address stopping student suicide as well, please do not hesitate to get help if you need it. there are suicide hotlines available for you and please know that you are never alone. you and your life are important and valued! ⁣⁣ national suicide prevention hotline number (24/7 support) : 1-800-273-8255⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ sending you all love and light ❤️ i know times are hard right now but please stay strong and know that medical professionals are working their hardest, all we can do is do our part by staying home. - @premedpositivity on Instagram

#blacklivesstillmatter EDIT: it seems as though many people are confused as to why the statement “I don’t see colour” can be harmful. I understand that many people say this as an attempt at being more inclusive, but when we are working towards deconstructing a system where power and privilege are based off of skin colour, discussions about this deep-rooted systemic racism must be addressed. Saying you don’t see colour is like putting a little bandaid on a gaping wound. If we want to have productive discussions about race, acknowledging the privilege and power that certain people have based off of their skin colour is only the first step. Not only that, but by making this statement, it is also disregarding feelings of bias and prejudice as well as racism experienced by people of colour. En el operativo policial, fueron detenidas cinco personas, tres mujeres y dos hombres, todos mayores de edad, integrantes de una banda dedicada al tráfico de drogas, que operaba en el Maule Sur. Tras el operativo policial, que contempló en primera instancia la detención flagrante de tres sujetos en la plaza de peaje de la comuna de Río Claro, así como también la aprehensión del resto de los sujetos tras el allanamiento de 5 inmuebles, los detectives de la Brianco Linares, logran la incautación de 458 gramos de cocaína base, cannabis sativa, dos armas de fuego (escopeta que mantenía vigente encargo por robo y un revólver), un arma a fogueo, munición de distinto calibre, dinero en efectivo, un vehículo marca Peugeot, modelo Partner, además de 40 hojas impresas con billetes de 20 mil pesos falsos. Los imputados contaban con antecedentes policiales por distintos delitos, fueron puestos a disposición del Tribunal de Garantía de Linares, por el delito de tráfico de drogas para su audiencia de control de detención y formalización.
