Mesabecha is a popular variation of our favorite Middle Eastern spread, HUMMUS. 😍 This version is served with whole chickpeas and tahini sauce. I added my own twist to this dish by sautéing the chickpeas in spices! 🌶️🌶️ Give it a try! 👇🏻 INGREDIENTS 3 cups cooked chickpeas 3 tablespoons sesame paste 1-2 garlic cloves, or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 3 tablespoons lemon juice 1/4 cup boiling water 2 tablespoons olive oil For the sautéed chickpea topping: 1 cup cooked chickpeas 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon cumin sprinkle of cayenne pepper (optional) salt and pepper to taste 1. In a food processor or blender, blend all the hummus ingredients together until smooth. Add a splash of water for a thinner consistency. 2. In a pan, sauté the chickpeas with the spices over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Serve over the hummus together with hard boiled egg, tahini and pita bread. - @onelifetoeat on Instagram
