I had a long conversation with an old friend yesterday, talking about my Sprinter van. We discussed what it has represented and the places it has carried me over the years. I explained to him that there has been a transition in my mindset regarding the van, that I no longer see it as my forever home now that I have the Transit. And as I described this to him, I thought about the various chapters of life it has supported me through. . My Sprinter allowed me to explore all of North America, as far as Alaska even. It gave me a place to sleep as I navigated an intense breakup without a home. It provided a safe place for me as I battled one of the worst depressions of my life. It drove me to the coast of Big Sur as I healed and forgave. It helped me build community as I followed the @vanlifediaries gatherings for an entire summer. It allowed me to spontaneously drive to Utah, where I first met Logan, then chase him to Colorado to pursue romance. It helped me stay confined as I isolated in the California desert during the first few months of COVID. And now it has helped support me financially through @outdoorsy. . The overall theme in this is that my van has allowed me to pursue whatever was best and healthiest for me at various stages throughout my life. It has provided the freedom and ability to put myself first, pay attention to my body and mind, and go wherever life was leading me. At the time, I thought I was just investing in a van, but over the years, Ive finally realized that I was actually investing in myself. - @soweboughtavan on Instagram

Bei uns ist heute ein kleiner Helfer eingezogen: Ein @flextrash fürs Auto. 3L Fassungsvermögen, ein Stoffmülleimer aus recycelten Plastikflaschen der gewaschen werden kann und nicht mal im Weg ist. Durch die mitgelieferten Halterungen hängt er jetzt an der Kopfstütze, sieht optisch sogar schön aus. Wir hatten vorab einen 5L Mülleimer, der grundsätzlich im Weg stand, wir haben dieses Ding entweder im Schrank gehabt wo man nicht direkt dran kam oder haben ihn im Bus 5x hin und her geräumt damit er uns aus den Füßen war. Das Problem haben wir jetzt nicht mehr. Voor het eerst alleen, maar toch samen op pad met de camper! En dat vond ik toch best spannend 🙊 Alleen op pad gaan niet, dat doe ik wel vaker, maar bij alleen met de camper weg zag ik toch veel (praktische) beren op de weg. Na nog 10 keer twijfelen toch de spullen ingepakt en hop, roadtrippen! 💪🏼 Alhoewel, roadtrippen, ik was van alles van plan, maar het voelde als een hele onderneming. Dus besloot ik toch maar lekker in een veilige en vertrouwde omgeving te blijven en dus staan we in Zoutkamp op een heerlijk rustig plekje! 🤗 Het is gelukt om het tafeltje in te klappen, om de stroom aan te leggen, om geen krassen te rijden en om het dak omhoog te krijgen, het lukte niet om de mugjes uit de camper te houden, maar goed. We still remember the excitement we felt on this day. It was the first time we looked at our tiny home on wheels and realized she was in livable conditions. We were so joyful and grateful; even the neighbor walked over and snapped this picture of us. Here we were, covered on sawdust, paint, and sweat, tired because we didnt take any breaks as we just wanted to finish. Beluga (our van) was the first purchase we made as a couple. From there, we had to learn to navigate our ways into getting her ready. It was like a test, and neither of us wanted to fail. There were smiles, agreements, disagreement, and many tears of frustration and joy. This was quite an experience for the two of us. Road/tour life has a lot of ups and downs. One week you’re on top of the world shooting some of the best golf you’ve played all year. The next week can be the complete opposite, hitting every tree, not even averaging close to the rating. As a player, ratings are very important. They show sponsors and everyone how well you’re doing, but that number doesn’t represent who I am as a player. On the road we are constantly adapting, playing open courses one week, wooded the next. One week it might be in the high 90’s, the next might by in the low 60’s. Everything is constantly changing. Plus, this year has had some added stress with Covid and everything else going on in the world. Luckily I have someone I love to help go through all this craziness with. I don’t think I would be sane without him. @cmonty35876 and I are incredibly grateful to drive around this packed full van with a giant zombie on the side. Road life can get tough, driving from one event to the next with no breaks in between. That’s why I am so thankful for our hosts across the country. Even for a few days, they give us a slice of home away from home. Shoutout to anyone we have stayed with this year, you not only gave us a safe place to park the Freak, but gave us some memories to take with us. We also wouldn’t be able to do this without our sponsors. In recent years disc golf sponsors have made it easier to live life out on the road and we couldn’t be more thankful to have this as our jobs. Mit ausreichend Abstand zu unsern umliegenden Nachbarn, lässt es sich trotz der verrückten Situation echt gut in der Sonne aushalten. When people ask me where my favorite place has been during my travels....I usually always give the exact same answer. And that would be Encinitas🐋 yesssssssss. The energy there was like no other. I had this crazy high while living there....a high I call STOKE. Oh yes people😁The stoke is real out there. Once I really experienced it 🤙🏼 I knew I had to share some with everyone else. Andddd That’s where my journey of pushing stoke and raising levels began. But....I wasn’t always stoked... and I’m still not always stoked. To be honest life can be extremely difficult and cruel at times. I’ve been hit with a lot during this trip. I learned a lot about myself for sure. Solidarity can do that to a person. You learn to appreciate who you surround yourself with. I think that’s why Encinitas was so special...I was surrounded by wonderful people. But like they say....”if you love something, let it go.” I’m sure you know the rest haha. Even though I do miss those sunsets and that amazing energy.....I am soooooo stoked to experience other places and meet new people. I have a project coming up that I will be talking about shortly. Manchmal bin ich super glücklich, das es diese Plätze noch gibt. Ohne Verbotsschilder und ohne laute Hektik. Gestern war dann die Fahrt an die Mosel doch ausgefallen. Erstens waren wir einfach zu spät und wir hätten zudem wohl nochmal ewig suchen müssen um einen schönen, annähernd ruhigen Platz zu finden. Wir lieben das Gebiet dort, aber diese Alternative hier steuern wir immer gerne an, wenn es mal nichts außer Ruhe sein darf. Currently on the road again with El Van😎✌️ . This time we booked our van through @camptoo which is the Airbnb for campers. Look it up! . Was ein aufregender Tag für uns Drei! . Vor ein paar Tagen waren wir bei unserem Ausbauer @vanmecampervans Die Sehnsucht war groß, die Aufregung ebenfalls, denn wir haben Barnie ja schon fast 6 Wochen nicht gesehen. Zudem war es auch der erste Auto-Ausflug mit Piet. Unserem kleinen Mann ‚symbolisch’ sein zweites Zuhause auf Rädern zu zeigen war uns ein besonderes Anliegen - schließlich können wir es kaum abwarten unseren ersten Kurztrip zu dritt zu starten! . Langsam schmiegen sich die Einzelteile zum Großen und Ganzen zusammen. Wir haben alle Details, wie Waschbecken, Wasserhahn, Armaturen etc. selbst recherchiert und ausgewählt. Wir hoffen das unser räumliches Vorstellungsvermögen gepaart mit einem Hauch von Phantasie uns am Ende ein gemütlichen Ort zum Verweilen geschaffen hat. Live sehen die Einzelteile jetzt schon soooo mega gut aus und in Verbindung mit dem Handwerk der Jungs von @vanmecampervans kann eigentlich nix mehr schief gehen! A year ago, If you asked me where I’d be today, I don’t know what answer I would have given. When you lose everything, you assume it’s forever. The saying “time heals”, is a true statement for all. You just need to be patient. 7 months ago I met the most amazing woman for the second time in my life. Most are lucky to find love once, I don’t take for granted how fortunate I am finding it twice. I never dreamed of starting a family or feeling the kick of a baby girl I helped create. Over the past months @amanda_basham has been there for me on the hard days and has celebrated the great days with me. She wandered out to find me on the Pawnee Buchanan Trail when I bit off a trail I wasn’t ready to chew. Now she is growing our daughter, eating lots of pancakes and having crazy insomnia. I’m so grateful I met her this past January down in Texas and so thankful I get to raise a child with her. I’ve always been fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly inspiring women and now I get to try to raise one ❤️. I’ll take all the advice I can get. We started dating in early November of 2011 and we wanted to make our first kiss special since we were pretty sure we were meant to be. We were going to wait until NYE, but as each day passed, our will power weakened. • 11-11-11 was coming up, so we decided to have our first kiss at 11:11 on 11-11-11. Mars got out of class at 11, so I went to his house to meet him. 11:10 on the clock, and he’s still not there. I begin thinking we’ll have to wait until 11:11 pm or go back to our original nye plan, when he busts through the door right at 11:11 and swoops me up for our first kiss. I’m pretty sure we spent the whole day making out. • It was silly and maybe a little ridiculous, but it made us feel like kids, and we kind of were. That playfulness has kept us together a long time. Qui durant ce périple, a tout simplement été incroyable de robustesse, d’énergie et de confort ❤️❤️❤️ Pas simple pour un véhicule qui n’a toujours fait que de l’autoroute, de se frotter au relief escarpé de la chaîne du Jura ... ⛰⛰⛰ Et pourtant notre Sulli et ses 245000kms au compteur, s’en est sorti comme un jeune homme ! Narguant même certaines voitures en montée ! 🚐💨👋🚗 Simplement 2 toutes petites surchauffes lors des journées torrides à 40°C 🥵, mais quelques dizaines de minutes capot ouvert ont toujours suffi à le remettre sur roues 😁 Au total, notre pépère aura parcouru plus de 2000kms lors de ce trip et nous donne de belles certitudes quant à sa capacité à nous mener à nos rêves de grands froids ❄️! - - Deuxième point, nous voulions remercier Sulli pour son confort ! This past spring we were supposed to be sipping 🥃 in Scotland for our 6 month anniversary/honeymoon...then, Covid hits and everyone knows the rest of that story 🙄. We own two businesses and work together full-time, so we try to take two big biannual vacations that are usually international. Now we’re switching gears and putting our passports into storage for some outdoor exploration instead. Bellatrix (any other HP fans out there?! 🙋🏻♀️🐍) is a shorter 144 length 4x4 Sprinter that will take us completely off grid to more secluded camping spots for a few days at a time! She’s going to be our weekender rig as we adapt to this new normal. Das ist die derzeitige Situation des Wohnbereichs. Die Polster haben wir letztes Jahr schon neu beziehen lassen - dafür reichten meine Handarbeit-Skills nicht... 😬 Als wir die Kuschelbude übernommen haben, waren sie mit dem orange karierten Stoff bezogen, der sich jetzt noch als Kissenbezug und als Gardinen an den kleinen Fenstern findet. Das hatte meine Freundin @annadreana glücklicherweise schon verändert. 😅 Das Farbkonzept blau/orange soll grundsätzlich bleiben; aber Kissen und Vorhänge fliegen raus und werden ersetzt. Dazu weiße Wände und Schränke. Vielleicht bleiben die Frontklappen braun? 🤔 Ich bin aber nicht sicher. Das entscheiden wir spontan, muss ja eh alles auseinandergenommen werden. Als ich kürzlich dieses Bild in der Story meines Food-Accounts (@odettekocht , falls es jemanden interessiert 😇) hatte, schrieb mir meine Food- und Deko-Bloggerfreundin Steffi @homenherbs , dass diese Wachstuchtischdecke ja so wahnsinnig “oldschool” sei. i’ve been doing some more interior van work these last couple of days before endless rain is back on the schedule. kinda sorta mostly keeping me distracted. the silver stuff is sound deadening material, the furring is painted with anti-mold 1-2-3 primer, and the insulation is wool batting from @havelock_wool that has been glued to the wall with 3M super 77. this should hold everything in place at least until i get the panels up. the fan is a maxxair. not sure what to do with the wheel wells or lights in the ceiling yet. or a lot of other things. • #astrovan #astrovancamper #customvan #customvans #astrosafari - @jspake on Instagram

It feels like an understatement to say things are tough right now. Over the weekend, my ten year old turned to me and said, “Dad, there’s three pandemics right now — systemic racism, climate change, and Coronavirus.” Honestly, I had no idea how to respond. #dadfail It just all feels so heavy. This week, our rentals business had a massive rush of cancellations, shortened trips, and upended plans. It honestly felt like March all over again, when Coronavirus originally rocked the rental businesses boat. It’s undoubtedly hard on the team. Sometimes it sucks. But ... Yesterday, the most wonderful renters returned a van after their most epic trip. They managed to skirt the worst of the smoke and fires, carving out 7 magical days of van adventures. They posted the words below along with these amazing pictures, and it truly lifted our spirits — a bright spot in the otherwise smoky week. Thank you @hemadeitbeautiful and @jobopdx — this meant a lot to us. “I was super impressed with Peace Vans as a whole. Here’s why: -Cleanliness: I was skeptical of staying in a van that people rent and track dirt from all over WA. I was pleasantly surprised with the upkeep. Too often people go years, decades, even lifetimes saying “I wish I could” or “if only” or “someday”......to the things that would genuinely fulfill and make them happy. We promised each other we’d never do this. So when we both discovered we had a desire to travel the world in a van...we began brainstorming about how to make this dream a reality. That giant process can always be broken down into steps and while most will see it as happening overnight, or “so quickly”, or we’re “lucky it was easy” lol...trust me today is simple step 29 of 723. But oh this was a giant milestone that really makes it real. We brought our future home, home. Published today by The Tyee. Last summer, Squamish council proposed a ban on all vehicle dwelling outside official campgrounds. The plan was abandoned after vehicle residents protested and presented council with alternatives. Instead, camping was banned in two “at risk” areas. However, in July the District of Squamish revived the idea of a blanket ban, saying it was a measure to minimize health risks from COVID-19… I spoke with Squamish vehicle dwellers to find out more about the potential health hazards of van living, what the ban will mean for them, and what they propose as a solution. Happy Vaniversary, Coach Betty! . . One year, 15k miles and countless memories of incredible sights and opportunities! Im unable to count the number of nights I spent in this van. At times Ive called her home for just one night and at other times, she is home for a week or entire months. I worked tooth and nail to keep my house in AZ after getting divorced. It was the location that brought me peace, comfort and where I felt safe. And yet, in the spring of 2019, I continually found myself sleeping out in my backyard- hungry for nature, adventure and a big sky overhead, that beckoned me to pursue infinite exploration. With that wanderlust, I scrimped and saved - with the goal to afford closing costs, savings for maitenance and the cash to buy my van outright. Wasting no time, I flew to Missouri the same day I refinanced [to own my house solely outright] to buy this van. This old 1992 beauty set my soul free last year. By calling her home, I was able to rent out my house for extra income, allowing me to afford travel, chase ideal weather and meet new people. When I lost my job, it was the financial answer I didnt know Id need. Like a true house, her walls have held laughter and tears and yet her wheels have rolled over terrain that many will never see. Mouthwatering meals have been cooked in her kitchen, while the view out the window is rarely the same. Ive closed the curtains on mountaintop sunsets, peeked out the blinds as the Milkyway spilled over the desert and opened the windows to greet oceanside sunrises. Whether amidst towering pine trees, soaring saguaros, crashing waves, cracked salt flats or rolling dunes of sand, Coach Betty has confirmed that home truly is where your heart is. ⠀ Wir sind endlich on the Road🚐... ⠀ Nein, kleiner Scherz am Rande, die Reise muss noch etwas warten 🙈😁... das Bild entstand bei unserem kleinen Sonntagsausflug. ⠀ Aus den geplanten 6 Wochen in den Weinbergen 🍇sind jetzt schon fast 9 geworden. Die Arbeit macht uns nach wie vor Spaß, die Arbeitskollegen sind super und unser Chef meinte, wir können so lange bleiben wie wir wollen.⠀ Außerdem müssen wir noch ein paar Reparaturen 🔧🧰 am Van vornehmen lassen (Radlager, Bremsen, Abgasrückführung), die nicht ganz günstig sind, daher bleiben wir ein paar Wochen länger. Living in a van was largely a financial choice for me. ⠀⠀ I had long been curious about a more nomadic lifestyle, but the decision to move into this van came as a result of my uncoupling. At the time of the divorce my small business was still in an uncertain place, but I didnt want to give up on it so I did some math. ⠀⠀ Once I saw that rent, utilities, and furniture to stay in Bend, Oregon for one year would cost the same as buying and building out the van I wanted, I chose the van. Sure I could have moved to a cheaper city or maybe found roommates on Craigslist, but having a tiny mobile home that was all mine, that I could live in indefinitely (or sell if needed), for the cost of a single years living expenses gave me comfort. And arent so many of our financial decisions based on what gives us a feeling of comfort and security? ⠀⠀ So now I live full-time in a 2016 Ford Transit Connect van, which I bought in 2018 for $17,000 ($14,369 after trading in an older vehicle as part of the sale). ⠀⠀ My criteria in choosing a van were: 1) great condition (since I dont have mechanical skills), 2) low mileage (Trixie had just over 21k miles when I bought her), 3) small enough to drive easily, get good fuel mileage, and be comfortably useable as a daily vehicle (in case I didnt love full-time van life). ⠀⠀ The build costs (including fridge) were $1887, and that work was done with an enormous amount of help from very generous friends. I outsourced the electrical work ($2372), because those are not skills I currently have and the time frame of when I needed to move into the van was too short to make mistakes. And so the out-of-pocket total was $18,628, which my former spouse and I paid for in cash from our joint savings as part of how we split our assets. ⠀⠀ I know people whose vans cost significantly more, and significantly less. There are many ways to make this lifestyle work, and lets not forget that people have always lived in vehicles (often not by choice) which means that the glorification of poverty that comes with the van life movement needs to be interrogated. ⠀⠀ There have been pros and cons to van life, but overall Im really happy with my choice! - @nic.antoinette on Instagram

Plus we can get anywhere from a secluded forest stream to Walmart without needing to put on real world clothes!⠀ ⠀ And who could forget sweet Toilet? Designed with all the comforts of home including a tile wet bath, farmhouse sink, tile backsplash, convertible table bed, 85L @isotherm_indelwebastomarine fridge, radiant heated floors and a 12v air cooling system. This #vanconversion is powered by 500 AH of @battlebornbatteries with a 3000 watt @victron_energy inverter/charger. All expertly installed by @orryblackwood from @summitoffreedom. That doesn’t even include all the fun stuff we did to the outside. @aluminess roof rack, side ladder & solar mounts for the 400 watts of @renogysolar along with a custom truckbed liner treatment on the roof and bottom of the van from @traxcustoms_ryan. We are officially 2 WEEKS into van life!!! Things we have loved and learned or learned to love 😜: • • ➖ Majority of days we don’t know where we are going to sleep that night, but we always figure it out. • • ➖ Opening the doors to a new front yard everyday is such a humbling start. • • ➖ The ultimate reset! More trees, nature and oxygen! Less concrete, buildings and congestion. • • ➖ We still like each other. • ➖We get the most comments/questions about our shower system (the black piping up top). • • ➖ We love minimalism! Essentials; caffeine, good jams, sunshine, and a good hat. • • ➖All cities we have been in, even the smallest of towns, are taking social distancing very seriously. We have been as well 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏻♂️• • ➖Considering her age and her size, Georgia drives like a dream! • • ➖ All the good doesn’t come without some bumps in the road. We cracked a taillight, Patrick lost a few things and we broke up for a night and got back together the next morning 😂. ‘Captain Trout and the Baja Banditos’ made it back to CA! This is what a fam of 5 + puppy looks like after many, many days adventuring in the backroads of Baja. The swell and wind forecasts pushed us deeper than ever before. That said, we met an incredible community far, far South, surfed epic conditions on an off-season swell, Mama Bird and oldest Little Bird easily caught their longest waves ever, we had only one roadside van repair (a first), our fam feasted on more 🦞 and 🍤 tacos than one can count, we drove countless hours on backroads without seeing another vehicle for hundreds of miles, and made sweet, sweet memories as a fam. Mexico 🇲🇽 has captured our hearts yet again. Grateful. #memoriesbeforestuff. Once we shake the sand out, we will post a few choice photos of our adventure in the coming week for those interested. People always ask how we shower. Its probably the most common question other than where do we use the washroom. Before the pandemic we had gym memberships and showered there. Once the gyms closed down we did some research and came across the Mr. buddy portable shower on Amazon for $40. Weve had it for a few weeks now and its been a game changer.... the water pressure feels like a proper shower. Used a part of a thicker oak branch and a copper pipe for the outlet. The Microswitch mixer (hot/cold) is in installed under the table so no ugly chrome tap and handle 👌🏻 . The kitchen boards are sealed with epoxy which will make them pretty resistant. . The fridge is securely stored in the bed-step under a plywood cabinet. Transformation TUESDAY!!!!! 2 years ago.. we bought Bruce 🚐. He was a completely stripped cargo van and we had NO IDEA what the HECK we were getting ourselves into. We didn’t know how to build out a van, we didn’t know what our van was going to look like in the end, all we did was watch some YouTube and figured.. LET’S DO IT TO IT!! It ended up being one of the single most best life decisions we have made for ourselves so far. Bruce has opened up doors for us that I didn’t even know existed. We have met some of the most beautiful souls on the open road thanks to our nomadic status. We are becoming financially free and all of that is thanks to this metal box with wheels that we call home... THE NEW BEARFOOT THEORY WEBSITE IS NOW LIVE! I’ve spent the last 16 months working on a much improved version of my website, and I’m thrilled to share it with you. Not only does it have a grown up look, it’s so much more fun to browse. With over 500 blog posts on the site, my goal was to make it super easy to find what you’re looking for - whether that’s an adventurous road trip itinerary, backpacking gear recommendations, beginner-friendly outdoor tips, Leave No Trace info, or advice on how to start van life in our free online course - the Van Life Roadmap. It’s all there, laid out in a super clear way, and let me tell you...that was no easy task :) This project was a test in my patience, but I’m so proud of how it turned out. Seeing it go live last week after so much hard work has been really gratifying. I’m so excited to hear what y’all think of it. It is of course mobile friendly, but I recommend checking it out on a desktop, laptop or tablet for the full experience. Yesterday was a tough day, one of those days that make you just want to pack everything in and walk away. Everything that could possibly go wrong did, and we went to bed feeling pretty disheartened. Today, however, we’ve had a very productive day doing DIY, making new handholds in our drawers, remaking the cupboard under our seat for better organisation, and repainting the kitchen and sliding door cladding 💪🏼 What a difference a day makes. 24 hours later and we’re laying in bed feeling pretty happy with ourselves after a successful afternoon and evening of work. S U M M E R E X T E N S I O N . When we bought @sunshine_thevan, it was with the dream of big and small everyday adventures, but most of all the bigger one here in September, we looked towards! . In April we both had to cancel an ongoing travel in Centralamerica, due to Covid, and when we got back home, like everyone else in most of the world, all of our plans got canceled, both professionally and socially. . Line is a self taught jewelry designer, and had design markeds lined up from June to September, while she planned to hit a good bunch a the bigger and smaller festivals in Denmark over the summer. . Thomas had a two month contract planned, going to Ilulissat in Greenland, second year in a row, working as an adventure guide, trekking, guiding and kayaking with travellers from allover the world, but that obviously also fell to the ground! . Now that all was canceled and with Thomas suddenly being able to focus almost full time, both with the lawfully registration and the actual conversion, Sunshine became our main focus - and what a ride it has been!! . Anyways, it feels SOOO amazing being here now! 😍 Were on the road! 😍 Were actually living this dream! 😍 We found our way to turn things around, reschedule our lives and extend the summer for another month, and what a glorious way it all turned out! . AVA is really starting to come together. Walls, ceiling, insulation, electrical/solar, bed, cooler, and bike racks so far. Just added this metal toolbox/workbench to be able to store some of our gear a bit more securely and to give us counter space. Every trip we take or other build we see we get new ideas so everything that I have built is modular. Everything except things like the roof vent fan can be unbolted and changed if we want to. Last night I went on my regular evening trail run. Except I didn’t stop running. I ran twice the length I had originally planned because for the first time in a long time, I allowed myself to feel deeply and fully. I felt afraid, hurt, despondent. The news about Jacob Blake made my heart sink yesterday. I don’t want to participate in the systems that perpetuate police brutality. I don’t want to contribute to my own oppression or the oppression of other BIPOC. All of this feels as inevitable as the silence I am seeing from self proclaimed allies who have decided that their fight is over. By the time I returned to the van from my run it was so dark I could barely see my shoes. I looked at the moon, I felt the cool breeze on my body, I cried. And then I felt strength - the strength that comes with allowing myself to feel everything fully. The strength that is fueled by anger and love. The strength that reminds me that I am not alone, and there are generations of fighters that have come before me (thank you for that reminder @becssurman). My fight is nowhere near finished. I want to uproot these systems completely and replace them with systems that exist outside of capitalist and oppressive systems. I don’t know what those systems will look like yet, and I think it’s okay to admit that. Nothin like gettin stuck in the middle of nowhere, watching your van slowly sink deeper into the bog while frantically trying to prop the tires with logs found nearby in an attempt to reverse it out, just to realize youre only making things worse. Add the panther and/or bear tracks you notice next to where youre stuck and the vultures circling overhead as the anxiety settles in. Multiply this by the short amount of time you have before the weather forecast calls for rain, plus the handful of conversations you have with the tow truck driver as he tells you he cant find his way to where you are, and youve got yourself a fun little predicament to start your day. Wow, wie mutig! Mit 3 Kindern allein reisen! ⭐️Diesen Satz hörte ich in den letzten Tagen wirklich oft! Aber nun mal ehrlich: bin ich besonders mutig? Oder mutiger als andere? 💫Vielleicht. Vielleicht blende ich aber auch einfach die Angst aus. 💥Angst, dass etwas schief gehen könnte. Angst, dass ich etwas nicht schaffen könnte. Angst, an meine Grenzen zu stoßen. Angst... ja wovor eigentlich? 💁♀️Ob mit einem oder mit 3 Kindern reisen - meiner Meinung nach ist es wie zuhause. In guten Momenten könntest du die perfekte Mama für 10 Kinder sein, Kriegst essen kochen, Wäsche waschen, spielen, Freizeit, me-time, Arbeit usw. ohne Wimpernzucken und mit links geregelt. Und an schlechten Tagen ist selbst 1 Kind zu viel, da will nichts gelingen und alles geht schwer von der Hand. 💆♀️Mein Geheimrezept, um nicht den Kopf zu verlieren? Geduld. Frische Luft. Organisation. 🙅♀️Und manchmal wenn gar nichts hilft: annehmen. Ja, das doofe Gefühl, nichts gerockt zu kriegen einfach annehmen und gehen lassen. 📍#italy About yesterday Freuen uns über dieses Licht. Von 35 Grad und mit offener Heckklappe schlafen zu 9 Grad und Standheizung. Wir sind seit gestern wieder auf dem Festland. Die Fahrt hier hoch war allerdings alles andere als entspannt. Es gibt so Tage da ist Vanlife einfach auch mal blöd😅. Von diesen Tagen haben wir diese Reise bis jetzt 2 gehabt und einer davon war gestern. Nicht nur das es mega stürmisch war, dazu noch Gewitter, Regen, umgestürzte Bäume, Brücken + die Strassenverhältnisse in Italien #läuft . Leicht am durchdrehen bei sowas. Wir sind also eh schon viel länger gefahren als geplant. Bis wir dann endlich einen Platz zum schlafen gefunden haben, wo wir uns einigermaßen wohl fühlten, war es irgendwann spät Abends. Man freut sich dann einfach nur darauf den Motor aus zu machen, noch was schnelles zu kochen und lang zu liegen😴. Gleich geht es weiter Richtung Norden. Wir bleiben noch 1-2 Tage in Italien. Es geht auf jeden Fall an einen See und zwar an einen von dem wir noch gar nicht soviel gehört haben🧡! Erzählt mal von euren nervigsten Vanlifemomenten.
