I have been greatly inspired and influenced by Doshin Roshi Nelson when it comes to working with conflict and liberating myself from the prison of duality Let’s look at it It takes 2 to have conflict, two opposing positions: 🙅🏻I AM RIGHT! 🙅🏻♀️NO! I AM RIGHT! and so how do we usually engage with conflict? 1. You go to war (never works, we make a mess of things, grenades get thrown over one another on the battlefield or in the living room) 2. You walk away (but that still isn’t total liberation as you still are being reactive to the opposing party) 3. When you can’t avoid the person, and don’t want to go to war, you make love, or agree to disagree (and if we are really honest with ourselves agreeing to disagree is passive agressive and is far from being complete liberation) So it seems like you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t lol. Again, remember it takes 2 to have a conflict, two opposing positions, and the culprit is this “i” It’s this dualistic thinking and dualistic feeling that keeps us stuck in conflict. It’s about you. Your prejudice, your negative biases, your opinions, your likes and dislikes, and you’re entirely not even aware of them. So the Question is, where is the place where there is NO conflict? Evan graciously answered my model call that I posted the other day, and this was the result of our first session together. He had buzzed his hair during quarantine and so my intent was really just to shape it into something a little more stylish for him, and let it grow out a little longer- but I was more excited by the end result than I anticipated. A bit of a take on an old @mattyconrad tutorial I watched a long time ago for a haircut called “The Flick” that I tweaked to Evan’s head shape. We got a chance to talk about music too, which is always my favourite thing to talk about with clients. Evan is a killer drummer who’s played in a million local bands past and present. Od tego dnia codziennie między godziną 18.00 a 19.00 mieszcząca się przy ul. Narbutta 29 stacja radiowa nadawała program. Najpierw było to tylko godzinne nadawanie. Potem wszystko nabrało tempa. Prawdziwą sensacją w skali całej Europy było wybudowanie w 1930 roku w Raszynie pod Warszawą ogromnej anteny nadawczej, która powodowała, że sygnał radiowy z Polski dostępny był nie tylko na terenie całego kraju, ale docierał w znakomitej jakości także do Anglii i krajów skandynawskich. The healing and love is rough...doesn’t come easy. I need to represent what it’s like to be black, indigenous and queer in America today. Most people call me Robbie Zak. I’m 39 years of age, I enjoy travelling, water sports, seafood, my dog Odie and I love going fast on anything with 2 wheels. Im a mad Carlton fan. For work I’m a qualified plumber and Site Supervisor for a construction company. Prior to this, I was in the Australian Army. I discharged after my last deployment in 2013. It was around this time I hit the lowest point in my life. Suicide was becoming an option. With my military skills counting for nothing in the real world and battling my own personal demons which I’d brought back from the war, it was all becoming too much. With a supportive partner and family I was able to dig deep and scream for help. I finally found the courage to go see a psychiatrist. Dr. Peter Marriott (rest his soul) I owe a great deal to. He helped me understand and manage my mental health. I cant leave out my lawyer Greg Isolani, who used mine and several other veterans experience to take on the federal government for better treatment of ex-service members. Greg did a lot of my paper work so I could get my well-earned entitlements. My family, friends, Dr Marriott and Greg Isolani all supported in me in their own way. For this I’m forever grateful. My mental health still has its moments but, with treatment I’ve learnt techniques to manage my episodes and fight triggers before they occur.
