Sweet little Libra recently underwent an eye enucleation surgery. When Libra fist arrived at the shelter as a newborn kitten earlier this year, she was suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection. Even with many trips to the vet clinic, hundreds of dollars in medication and countless hours of care, this infection was so bad that her one eye never properly opened or developed. Though she has made incredible improvements since first arriving at LAPS, her left eye recently started to cause her some discomfort. After consultations with our veterinary partners it was decided that the best option would be for Libras eye to be removed. We are pleased to report that Libra is doing fantastic after her surgery! She is currently recovering in the company of her sister Gemini. These two lovely girls are looking to find their furever home together. Though Libra may look a little different, she has all the love in the world to give.
