This was a dream project for me. While living in New York the art in the subway stations would always bring some relief and joy during the chaotic commute. Often while shoved against a smelly stranger on the train, I would close my eyes and imagine the places I would rather be. Reading tarot cards on a tropical island or sipping wine in an underwater restaurant? Sign me up! This project is also inspired by the inner sanctuary visualization technique in Shakti Gawain’s book Creative Visualization and the daydreaming I often did as a kid. 🌟🌟🌟 Tara Foster aka @lilmisstara of MTA Arts and Design and I met in the Fulton Center on March 6 to make sure all of the 52 screens were synced. Having moved to Richmond, VA in November, I was already nervous in early March about traveling to New York. The timing of this project has not been ideal, but I do wish it can serve as a delightful distraction for all of the essential workers still taking and operating the trains during the pandemic. Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes after a fire broke out in Moria camp destroying their homes and belongings. Fires that consumed Europe’s largest refugee camp, Moria, on the Greek island of Lesbos have left nearly 13,000 men, women, and children without shelter or access to basic services. Prior to the fires, security in the camp had already deteriorated and tensions were high. The refugees were crammed into overcrowded, inadequate tents, with limited access to food, water, sanitation, and health care, despite the risk of Covid-19. One week ago I wrapped my last day at @we.are.alight - and it’s taken several days (and I’m sure many more) to wrap my mind around the bigness of this moment. The past almost 6 years have been one wild, wondrous, action-packed, joy-filled, and sometimes incredibly challenging adventure. I’ve had the privilege of working on issues close to my heart and sharing the stories of so many different wonderful people I’ve met along the way, who have made navigating those challenges worth it and then some. This job has taken me from Minneapolis to Congo to El Salvador to Turkey to Sudan to Somalia and beyond, but in those places it’s always been the generosity of my colleagues and now dear friends that have kept me afloat and make this change so dang hard. Uma foto que dispensa uma legenda, porém eu quero uma legenda kkk 8 anos de um amor, 8 anos que nos conhecemos, do 1° ano do ensino médio, da sala 1°4, do ano de 2012, em um certo momento reparei naquela moça que estava vestindo uma calça rosa de tactel, que vestia 2 sutiã, e com uma regatinha branca com umas florzinhas, pensa em uma menina magrinha, com uma silhueta invejável, reparei dos pés número 34, até seus cabelos, que formavam um conjunto de mulher que sempre foi meu desejo. Me aproximei dela em um dia de aula sem saber ao certo se ia ser bem recebido, confesso que no primeiro contato achei ela bem marrento, mais meus amigos do Instagram, já era tarde de mais, já havia me encantado, com seus detalhes, com seu ombro macio, que foi aonde dei o primeiro beijo kkk sim eu beijei o ombro dela, sua mão, o cantinho da boca, até que em um intervalo do recreio, sentados em uma escadaria, nos beijamos, e ali eu tive a experiência mais incrível da minha vida, parecia que eu já a conhecia a anos, que aquele beijo encaixou certinho com o meu, uma boca delicada, macia. Me viciei naquela menina, e sem perceber se tornou a mulher de minha vida! 8 anos após tudo isso, nosso amor prevaleceu, aumentou, e agora multiplicou! Too often we fail to recognize our childrens behavior as a symptom of their struggles. We react (sometimes harshly) in an effort to contain their bad behavior without ever taking the time to understand their need. This quote by L.R. Knost shows us that when our kids are misbehaving, it can be because they feel frustrated, helpless, or a whole host of other things, and that they are communicating to us the only way they know how. Our example of course comes from RasulAllah (pbuh). One young boy recalled: I was brought to the Prophet and he said, My son, why are you throwing stones at the datepalm trees? The young boy replied, So I can eat. Do not throw stones at the date-palm trees. Eat from what falls to the ground from them. the Prophet said. The Prophet then patted him on the head and prayed, O Allah: give him enough to eat. So the next time your child is acting out or is visibly upset or angry, try to remember that when our children struggle, it is our job to give gentle reminders and guidance in order to improve their behavior, not to be harsh with them or threaten and hit them to comply. And be sure to incorporate duas when facing such situations, so that the Almighty can help your child and also help you deal with these matters with more calm, patience and understanding inshAllah. - @halalparenting on Instagram

NICU AWARENESS MONTH: . @itssaraheek “September is NICU awareness month. For me, it’s a time to reflect and honor not only the littlest of fighters and their families, but also the people who run those neonatal intensive care units. • I knew that carrying twins had a huge possibility of a pre-term pregnancy, but nothing prepared me for going into early labor at 31 weeks. I felt completely helpless as they were quickly rushed to the NICU after my emergency C-section. I told my wife to follow the babies, and I’d catch up to them all later. I felt like I failed as a mother. Hours later when I saw them, how frightening it was to see them hooked up to monitors and tubes. There were wires everywhere. The beeping monitors were nonstop. They were translucent in color, and they barely moved. I cried. And I for sure didn’t get to hold them, at least not until days later when the doctors felt they were more stable. • Luckily for my family, we were blessed with an amazing care team at @stanfordchildrens hospital. They provided the utmost care for our girls while we were in the hospital for a month. They comforted me too when I felt like I failed motherhood’s firsts. • No one would ever know how scary their first life moments were just by looking at them now that they’re 5. And for that, we are forever grateful for our doctors, nurses, and all of the hospital staff at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ❤️” . Here, two children are being registered to be vaccinated in the church of Nzerret, a small village in northern Democratic Republic of Congo, where a measles outbreak erupted in May 2016. MSF (Doctors without borders) response was to start an emergency vaccination campaign during which nearly 40 000 children under 15 have been vaccinated in 8 days in the region around Nzerret. This last week has been an experience I will never forget 😍 I now know why Malawi is called the heart of Africa ❤️ . I’ve never smiled so much but at the same time been at a loss for parents & children who have so little (despite their generosity & big smiles). These feeding programmes make such a huge difference in these children’s lives, for most of the children it can be their only meal of the day. Through @onefeedstwo and @mindfulchefuk the meals we donate really do help these families every single day. . From being a human climbing frame to sharing porridge with Stellia (who’s the same age as Sienna) I have memories that will last a lifetime. We may be on the other side of the 🌍but we’ve seen in person the positive impact we can have. . Das UniKidsCamp der @unibasel hat dieses Jahr wieder viele Kinder für die Wissenschaft begeistert! 🙋♂️👩🔬 Während drei Tagen haben die 40 Kids im Feld und im Labor viele spannende Sachen gelernt und selber ausprobiert. . Im Labor haben sie unter anderem “Algen” gebastelt und einen kleinen Wettbewerb durchgeführt: Die Alge, die am langsamsten im Wasser sinkt, gewinnt. In Gewässern ist es für Algen wichtig, dass sie in der Nähe der sonnigen Oberfläche bleiben und nicht absinken. 🦠 In anderen Experimenten haben sie die CO2-Produktion und CO2-Entgasung durch gewöhnliche Lebensmittel wie Hefe, Backpulver oder Cola getestet. Das CO2 haben sie sichtbar gemacht, zum Beispiel indem es brennende Kerzen erstickt hat.🕯️ Mit Betreuung vom Swiss Nanoscience Institute wurden ausserdem verschiedene Versuche zum Thema Schall durchgeführt. . Im Hörsaal haben die Kinder zudem eine Gerichtsverhandlung nachgespielt, in der sie das Strafmass für einen Handydiebstahl festgelegt haben. 👩⚖️ . Und auch draussen haben die Kinder viel erlebt. Sie haben unter anderem verschiedene Tiere und Pflanzen kennengelernt, den Wasserturm in Allschwil besucht und gesehen, wie man Hagelschäden testet. إلى وقت قريب جدا كانت أخطائي وذنوبي ومواقفي السابقة السيئة مع الناس تشكل عبئ كبير على نفسيتي وعلى حاضري. ثم مع التأمل غيرت نظرتي ومشاعري لكل ما مضى من أحداث......هذا موضوع طويل وعميق ويصعب شرحه بسهوله هنا..... ولكن باختصار :........ ١- تقبل الماضي انه حصل رغم انه شيء ضد رغبتنا امر صعب جدا خاصة انها احداث سببت لنا ألما وهي ضد ما نعتقد انه خير لنا وبالتالي نتألم منها نفسيا.!!! اذن كيف نعالج انفسنا نفسيا وقلبيا من احداث حصلت ضد ما نرغبه ؟؟ سواء ذنوب فشلنا في تجنبها او مواقف اخطأنا فيها بسبب ضعفنا او ايذاء حصل من اشخاص لنا. ٢- العلاج هو بالاستشعار القلبي العميق جدا جدا بجهل الانسان أمام علم الله. فالألم من شي حصل في الماضي هو شعور معناه اننا نعتقد قلبيا اننا نعلم شيئا لا يعلمه العليم سبحانه. كأننا نقول بقلبنا : لو لم يحصل هذا الأمر لكان افضل. وهذا ادعاء علم فوق قدرتنا كبشر. وهذا سر انهاء اية (وعسى ان تكرهوا شيئا وهو خير لكم) ب (والله يعلم وانتم لا تعلمون). هذا هو السر في القضاء على ألم الماضي !! بتذكير انفسنا مرارا وتكرار كلما أردنا الاعتراض على حدث سابق بأن (الله يعلم وانتم لا تعلمون). وهذا أمر نعلمه كلنا عقليا ولكن ليس قلبيا فلو علمناه بقلوبنا لما حصل الألم. وايصال هذا المعنى من العقل الى القلب هو من أصعب الأمور. وهذا هو مفهوم تزكية النفس. تزكية النفس هي ايصال المعلومات النظرية التي نعرفها بعقولنا الى أعماق قلوبنا لكي تؤثر على مشاعرنا. فمثلا : كلنا يعرف عقليا أن (مع العسر يسرا) ولكن قلبيا الكثير منا يجزع ويفقد الأمل وقت العسر. لماذا ؟؟ مع أننا حافظين الاية صم منذ الطفولة ؟؟؟ لأن اية (ان مع العسر يسرا) موجودة في عقولنا فقط وليست في قلوب الكثير منا. ربات هوشمند کاراکال ربات جنگجو و هوشمند کاراکال که برای نبرد زمینی طراحی شده دارای سیستم تعلیق مستقل است؛ این ربات با حداکثر سرعت ۳۰ کیلومتر بر ساعت و برد عملیاتی بیش از ۵۰۰ متر دارای قابلیت حمل سلاحهای سبک و نیمهسنگین و همچنین دارای سیستم کنترل از راه دور هوشمند و مسافت یاب لیزری و سامانه اپتیکی است. خودرو تاکتیکی چهار در چهار گهر این خودرو دارای قابلیت حمل ۵۰۰ کیلو گرم در حالت آفرود و همچنین از قابلیت پیمایش ۷۰۰ کیلومتر با بیشینه سرعت ۱۲۰کیلومتر در ساعت برخوردار است؛ همچنین این خودروی تاکتیکی از قابلیت عبور از شیب طولانی ۷۰ درصد و قابلیت عبور از شیب عرضی ۳۵ درصد برخوردار است. خودروی تاکتیکی گهر قادر به عبور از آب با عمق ۸۰ سانتیمتر است و قابلیت نصب انواع تجهیزات سبک و نیمه سنگین را دارد. سامانه ارتباطی پرش فرکانس سریع چابک سامانه ارتباطی پرش فرکانس سریع با نام چابک، قابلیت پرش فرکانس بسیار سریع و سرعت پرش ۲۰۰هزار در ثانیه را دارد. این سامانه با پهنای باند اطلاعاتی مناسب قابلیت ارتباط با سامانههای هواپایه و از قابلیت ارتباط ایستگاه زمینی با سامانههای زمینپایه برخوردار است؛ همچنین این سامانه دارای سامانههای گیرنده و فرستنده امن و از قابلیت بکارگیری و نصب بر روی سامانههای زمینی و هوایی برخوردار است. این سامانه در واقع یک لینک ارتباطی بسیار امن و قوی است که در سختترین شرایط ارتباطی با جابهجایی فرکانس متعدد دشمن به هیچ وجه قادر به جمینگ آن نبوده و برای نخستین بار در سطح کشور ارائه شده است. موتورهای پیستونی پهپاد این موتورهای پیستونی برای نخستین بار در ایران از ۴۰ تا ۴۰۰سی سی، طراحی و ساخته شده با گشتاور چهار هزار دور در دقیقه از توان پهار الی ۴۰ اسب بخار و قابلیت نصب بر روی انواع پهپادها برخوردار است. این موتور پیستونی کاملاً بومی در رده ۴۰سی سی قادر است که یک پهپاد ۳۰کیلویی را در ارتفاع ۱۲هزارپایی به پرواز دربیاورد. ربات امدادگر مسیح این سامانه مجهز به ایستگاه کنترل پرستاری و از قابلیت دریافت و کنترل علائم حیاتی بدن بیمار و همچنین قابلیت برقراری تماس صوتی و تصویری بین بیمار و کادر درمانی برخوردار است. همچنین این سامانه قابلیت حمل دارو، غذا و هرگونه ملزومات مورد نیاز بیمار را دارد. خودرو ارتقا یافته۴۰×۲۶ خودرو سنگین تاکتیکی تانکبر،یک خودروی تاکتیکی است که با افزایش قدرت موتور متحرکه، از توان ۴۰۰ اسب بخار برخوردار است. لانچر ۲ فروندی هدف ۲نزاجا این سامانه قابلیت شلیک دو فروند موشک به صورت همزمان را دارد. همچنین این سامانه قابلیت استقرار سریع را دارد - @artesh.iranian on Instagram

The Period of PURPLE Crying begins at about 2 weeks of age and continues until about 3-4 months of age. There are other common characteristics of this phase, or period, which are better described by the acronym PURPLE. All babies go through this period. It is during this time that some babies can cry a lot and some far less, but they all go through it. When these babies are going through this period they seem to resist soothing. Nothing helps. Even though certain soothing methods may help when they are simply fussy or crying, bouts of inconsolable crying are different. Nothing seems to soothe them. During this phase of a babys life they can cry for hours and still be healthy and normal. Parents often think there must be something wrong or they would not be crying like this. However, even after a check-up from the doctor which shows the baby is healthy they still go home and cry for hours, night after night. It was so discouraging, said one dad. استجابة لكارثة الفيضانات الأخيرة في #السودان الشقيق، قامت دولة #قطر بإرسال مساعدات إغاثية عاجلة عبر صندوق قطر للتنمية، وبالشراكة مع الشركاء الاستراتيجيين، كقطر الخيرية والهلال الأحمر القطري وبالتعاون مع اللجنة الدائمة لأعمال الإنقاذ والإغاثة والمساعدات الإنسانية . وكانت دولة #قطر من أول المبادرين في تقديم المساعدات، حيث قامت في ٧ سبتمبر بتقديم مساعدات لـ١٣٩ عائلة في الخرطوم و أم درمان. وشملت المساعدات التي تم تقديمها على سلال غذائية و خيم ومواد إغاثية متنوعة. و استفاد حتى اليوم من المساعدات القطرية أكثر من ٨٠٠٠ شخص . و تستمر دولة #قطر متمثلة في صندوق قطر للتنمية والشركاء الاستراتيجيين من المؤسسات الخيرية القطرية في دعم السودان الشقيق من خلال المساعدات الإغاثية العاجلة والمشاريع التنموية وذلك في إطار الدور الجوهري والمهم الذي تلعبه دولة قطر لمساعدة الأشقاء في #السودان الشقيق لتخطي هذ الأزمة In response to #SudanFloods disaster, the State of #Qatar has sent urgent relief aid via @qatar_fund in partnership with strategic partners, @qcharity & @qrcs & the Standing Committee for rescue & relief work & humanitarian assistance in the affected areas. The State of #Qatar was one of the first initiators to provide aid,as on 7Sep,it provided aid to 139 families in #Khartoum & #Omdurman.The aid provided included food baskets, tents &various relief items.
