Hello, We are sharing the following statement with you, following on from a very upsetting incident that took place on our weekly Zoom meet-up last week. After just settling into what already felt like another really informative and positive discussion, we were ‘zoom-bombed’ by a group of people intent on disrupting and insulting those involved. At the time of the disruption, one of our amazing guests was sharing some very personal stories about her experiences as a black woman within the music industry - within seconds she went from having a captivated audience of people keen to listen and discuss, to having to deal with a horrific display of racism, verbal attacks and grotesque imagery/video. It shocked everyone on the call, showcasing how direct and nasty this side of internet culture can be. We apologise to anyone who was on the zoom call who had to also experience this. Following on from the incident, we had an open discussion about it afterwards, and then have since been reflecting on everything that happened and how to move forward together. Why are we sharing this with you now? For 2 main reasons: - SECURITY - many of you may know lots about this, or be taking measures already. But if not, please please be conscious of the security and access of your zoom calls. After many positive previous weeks of engagement, we let our guard down, and thus learnt our lesson in this way. Password-protect, have a waiting room, be careful where you share the link! We will now be moving to Google Hangouts for all future remote meet-ups. - SOLIDARITY - we stand together with the members of the Zoom call who were attacked and insulted. We have provided the footage to the most directly attacked individual (editing out identities of non-perpetrators), offered communicative support in any further actions taken, worked on improving all future security, and been personally in touch with the affected. We will be taking a break from our weekly call tonight to give this statement its deserved space and test the security of new measures we are setting up. However will not let such disgusting online aggression stop us going forward. We will be back next Wed at 8pm. - @london_promoters_society on Instagram

For the first time in Milan, an immersive @shapeplatform showcase aiming to provide insights and fully present the work of Platform for Innovative Music and Audiovisual Art from Europe. We represent an international roster of performing and recording artists, with a particular focus on the electronic-music spectrum and its intricate sonic diversity. To celebrate our debut, we gathered all our artists and challenged them to create music unbounded by genre-specific constrictions. Interstellar Travel Guide is a two-part compilation featuring the agencys 24 artists, and showcases a versatile array of music ranging from spoken vocals & ambient drones to exploratory techno. Volume I is the compilations most experimental part, assembling 12 compositions of calm, awe-inspiring moments fundamentally aimed at contemplation, and meditation. Volume II will be released shortly after and will gather tracks from the other side of the spectrum, exploring rather beat-driven arrangements. I’m beyond excited to finally share with you my finished typeface: Ascentis ✨ Ascentis falls in the realm of display typefaces, inspired by Neoclassical letterforms & sprinkled with a contemporary twist. The serifs and contrast between thick and thin strokes pay its respects to Neoclassical typography. Yet the experimental terminals and serifs offers a stinging sensation; while the intense, deep curvatures allows the letterforms to melt into their respective spaces. This fusion of sharp and smooth, historical and modern, creates an emphasized edge to Ascentis’ fluidity and unconventional character. Ascentis not only visually acknowledges the history of Typography, but also pushes the boundaries of what typographic conventions can be.
 This is my first typeface I’ve ever designed, but definitely not my last 💥

Orna falls in the realm of display typefaces influenced by Art Nouveau and Blackletter Calligraphy, all while emphasized under a contemporary light. The condensed letterforms, wedged latin serifs and star-shaped tittles act as contrasting modern elements to traditional design practices. The blend of rich Rotunda influences and intense Art Nouveau curvatures allows the strokes to pour into their distinctive spaces. The fluid strokes compliment the firm letterforms, like ornaments — allowing Orna to lead with intensity and whisper allure. Orna not only visually acknowledges the history of Typography, but also pushes the boundaries of what typographic conventions can be. Over the past few months, I found myself un-learning and re-learning the important things in life — battling societal constructs, dismantling racism and sexism, standing up for inclusion, decolonization, the list goes on; but also on a minor level — type design!
