Today were launching app-wide support for editing videos in Darkroom, available to all our existing and new subscribers. All management and editing tools work with videos, and we added a new Cinematic filter set. Videos feel as lightweight as photos. They autoplay, loop, and every edit is made in realtime. By eliminating all the complexities involved in the traditional video editing process, you can now expand the range of your visual stories without paying a cost in time and effort. While we were at it we couldnt resist developing a new filter set designed to instantly give your videos a more Cinematic look. We love using it for photos as well! Our changes do not only extend to the editing interface however, we updated the entire app to better work with videos: Metadata viewer, export flows, export options are all updated & refined to be cleaner and support for video. Lastly, we are rebranding our subscription package to Darkroom+ If you are an existing subscriber, this does not impact you in any way, its just a name-change. For new customers, this is a more concise brand that will contain the premium features we add in the future. The story of the Unintentional Black Marlin and Poni’s wedding: Went fishing on our surf longboat, looking for some tuna, and found ourselves on a good bait ball. Trolling small skirts we got hit with a small skipjack. As the fish ran, it tangled the line, and we had to let it out to untangle the mess. As the line regained tension and we started reeling it in, the fish took off on a huge run. We assumed a shark took it, and began working it back to the boat to save the lure. We worked the fish about 20 yards from the boat and saw a dark flash of color, still thinking it was a bronze whaler shark on the line. Once it saw the boat it took off, almost spooling us out of line. For an hour we fought this thing stubbornly, but never got close enough to see what it was. After we switched guys reeling, the fish ran to the surface and jumped/skipped across the water, and we realized we had a massive Black Marlin. With a heavy heart, I was unsure about the Marlin, as I’ve never caught one before. I don’t fish for sport, we fish here to feed the island. My hope was to get the fish close enough to the boat to unhook it, but we never got the chance. We fought the fish for almost 3 hours, 3 of us taking turns on the reel. It was a small trolling rod and reel, not made for fish of this magnitude. When we finally got the fish to the boat, it had fought itself to death. 12 feet long, and 650 pounds. It was a bittersweet moment. I respect this fish and thank it for its sacrifice, it will not be wasted. . . This weekend is our friends Poni and Livia’s wedding. We are donating the fish to feed the hundreds that will be there, all parts of the fish will be used for different dishes. We are happy to celebrate their love with this incredible animal. . . It is with a heavy heart that, after close consultations with the Barbados authorities, we are announcing the official postponement of the Vujaday Music Festival until November 2020. While this decision was not made lightly, it was made with the best interests of our fans, employees, artists and residents of Barbados in mind. Beyond the fact that global events have made travel from various countries difficult, if not impossible, governments from around the world have advised against mass gatherings of any kind at this time. We know many of you have deadlines to change travel arrangements and encourage all those who have booked travel to Barbados to contact their airlines, hotels and ground handlers to understand change rules and/or fees for future credit at this time and make your decision accordingly. While it is our desire to ensure the continuation of the festival later this year, the pace of global events makes it impossible to determine an exact date at this time. As the situation normalizes and timelines on travel restrictions become more clear, we will update you on further developments. IPP Week - Day 3/6: How We Got Here: The Inspiration ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I met @theinteriorplainproject (Pete) many moons ago in Las Vegas of all places during my college days when I got to be an intern for @romesnowboards at the @siasnowsports trade show. We instantly connected over our Minnesota roots and ended up staying in touch over the years as design started taking over my life, usually talking shop at that same trade show or grabbing a couple laps on the rare occasion that I was back in Minnesota in the winter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then one day almost two years ago now, after posting a few versions of an unused skate deck design, I received my now favorite DM from Pete: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Yo I love those decks. Should we make them snowboards? Vacation forever collection?” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just like that, it was on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We connected with #TheInteriorPlainProject’s design wizard @joemertes, and after spitballing over a couple phone calls and emails we landed on the theme of Eternal Vacation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The goal was a merging of two worlds, combining the dream of the snowboard life with the dream of a never-ending tropical getaway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A way for those connected to this frigid lifestyle to come together with those searching for a lifetime of warm, sunny beaches. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Honalee was the first board to come from this collaboration. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you scroll back far enough in my feed you can see the skateboards that not only became the Honalee, but were the catalyst for the whole #EternalVacation collection. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Personally I think these boards best capture the vibe we were going for and are my favorite combo of @natehphoto’s incredible tropical shots and my low-brow illustrations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Link in my bio to learn more and see the rest of the line! - @springbreak.jake on Instagram

This concept enthralled Paul and it inspired him to partner with his wife Diana to create the Jungle Project.   Jungle Project is centered around four key sustainable development goals: zero hunger, responsible consumption and production, climate action, and life on land. Their mission is to provide a community-based agroforestry model by planting trees and training farmers. 🐶 PUPDATE TUESDAY 🐶 . If you have been checking our stories, you will know that we are helping dogs all around town. Here’s a little status update: . FIDO is living at a friends house and loving it. He’s playing with their puppies and trying to keep up the best he can. He can walk and run but his back legs are still unsteady. We visit him as much as we can and you can see that he is missing us. 💛 . TIKI has moved out from the balcony and into our new big yard. She absolutely loves playing around in the grass eating all the plants (including cactuses 🌵). . SAUSIE is healing well from her spaying and we feel like it was right on time. There are already 9 newborn pups (and more to come) in the compound. She would make the perfect pet! 🐕 . CHU-CHUs belly is getting bigger every day. We think she will have her puppies in the next couple of weeks. Can’t wait to see grow up! 🐶🐶🐶 . Our current dilemma is; which one should move into our yard to keep Tiki company?..
