Berkeley’s NEED (Needle Exchange Emergency Distribution) has started a GoFundMe!! Since the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, NEED has remained open steadily serving people who use drugs to ensure delivery of harm reduction supplies, and as safe space for syringe disposal. They are a volunteer collective offering free and anonymous harm reduction services in a client-centered manner, dedicated to improving the physical, spiritual, and political health of people who use drugs. Over the past few months NEED has seen an uptick not only from our clients, but also from partner organizations needing harm reduction supplies such as Narcan, fentanyl test strips, syringes, safe sex supplies, and sharps containers. Us at the BFC included!! During this critical time their services are needed now more than ever!
