Thought I’d finally take a family photo while I had all of my Musicman and @sterlingbymusicman guitars. It’s taken me a looongg ass time to find a certain brand of guitar that has incredible craftsmanship (which is obviously subject to opinion) I’ve played many many brands and can honestly say, I’ve never felt more comfortable playing @music_man guitars. After picking up my first Musicman (Majesty) I’ve been obsessed with them ever since. And it goes without saying, if I didn’t have the support from my good friend @dgb4444 and Kit at @tourbus_entertainment I wouldn’t be able to be as lucky and own as many as I do! Jadi ini kerjaan pertama dia di indomaret rawa buaya nanti ditempatinnya. Bawa uang pas 40 rb.. sisa 10 rb bakal ongkos dia pulang naik angkot katanya ntar sore.. ane kasian kalau dia ga makan siang, dan ongkosnya kurang.. walau ane lagi susah karena orderan sedikit, tetap ane kasi dah dia buat makan ama ongkos pulang..dan ane ga ambil 30 rb itu. Late for this picture as weve been here all week but different is really the theme of the year i guess. Aside from obvious pandemic weirdness the year has been a rough one personally. Leaving the automotive field and starting a different career from scratch again feels more like i removed a piece of who I am. I know it was the right choice and im happy with it and that i chose a path that felt right instead of the wrong I was being smothered in. Through all the shit that 2020 has dropped on us I learned a lot this year. Learned about myself and learned a lot about the people I surround myself with. Ive lost a few friends over very dumb things and learned that we probably werent friends to begin with. Ive lost even more friends regarding all the negative events from the year and seen hate in people I wouldnt have expected it from. This is why H2o is important to me and more than the clout fest people say it is. For almost a decade now once a year we leave our problems behind us and come to this place to be with the people we care about to have the best possible time we can. Its never exclusively problem free but thats part of the process. This event is bigger than anyones bullshit. Its bigger than proving your point. Its bigger than your pride. Bigger than your ego. Bigger than your clout and bigger than the tickets youre going to get. Ive made some of my best friends here, I met the woman i love here, Ive celebrated my childs birth here. This 2012 Gibson ES-330 is probably the sexiest guitar in my quiver. Here’s her story. . It was 2016, and I had three Jazzmasters. As much as I loved them, between the two (“Green Machine” and “The 65”), the Danocaster I had was kinda on the chopping block. It was cool (with a super fun story) and the second JM Dan ever made, but I wanted to diversify. I’d always wanted a Casino or ES-330 (Beatles, Rolling Stones, duh), and the itch was growing to big to ignore. One day at work, a 1964 Cherry ES-330 popped up locally and I went to check it out. Dude and I were too far apart, but it didn’t help the GAS. Even though it had some issues and didn’t play great (par for most of the vintage ones I’ve played), I wanted it so bad. THE NEXT DAY, again I’m looking at guitars while on the clock, and this popped up. I ended up trading that Danocaster straight up for this, and at the time, I totally won that deal (Dan has since stopped taking orders, and increased his pricing). But that’s not what it’s about. I got the guitar I wanted, and I was absolutely blown away by it. The tone, playability, fit and finish, everything was flawless (shocking for recent Gibsons). Here’s my only gripe... If it’s a 1959 reissue, why does it have a pearl logo and tulip tuners, @gibsonguitar? A small annoyance. I have to point out, the @throbak_electronics P-90s are the best I’ve heard, and I love wiggling on the Bigsby. So many sounds in this beast, but what I find interesting is how similar the tones are to a Jazzmaster. The difference is the fully-hollowbody will feedback at louder volumes, and it has been super fun learning how to utilize that (a la Neil Young). This guitar is awesome. It’s also my dad’s favorite. I string it with .012s and have zero tuning issues. The middle position sounds glorious. I call her “The 330,” but my girlfriend thinks her name is “Cardy McFly.” 🙄 - @loftyrocket on Instagram
