I puntini di pittura sono un chiaro riferimento al Puntinismo e richiamano direttamente le opere di Paul Signac; invadono completamente la struttura della poltrona, dissolvendone i profili in una nuvola di colori. Mendini la definiva un lavoro di Re-design, il risultato di un puzzle di elementi finto antichi su un prato di Paul Signac. Il concetto mendiniano di Re-design proviene dall’idea che tutto sia già stato inventato e l’unica cosa che resta da fare sia semplicemente rivisitare oggetti già esistenti, arricchendoli con elementi decorativi o strutturali che ne modifichino la dinamica originale.
