Alyssa Farshot doesn’t want anything to do with the crown, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want her. As the niece of the current emperor, Alyssa is naturally next in line for the throne. Because of this, Alyssa has spent the last three years running from her responsibilities, exploring distant planets in the name of research (and having a good time, of course). Her life of adventure comes crashing down when she receives news that her uncle, the emperor, has become gravely ill. His final wish is, surprisingly, not for Alyssa to take the throne. Instead, he initiates a Crownchase, the first in seven hundred years, to find the next ruler of the empire. This is me at my core yes, but like everyone I’m susceptible to lower times. Last week I felt incredibly disconnected, from myself and my purpose. I was in a mini depression, which I do experience from time to time. This is the side of ourselves that people don’t often feel encouraged to share on social media. But without shadows we would not know the light. In this state I become envious of others who seem to have it all together. The gold I seek seems far away and I long for the stars to come out again. I want you to know that it’s perfectly okay to feel like this, especially fellow men weighed down by the illusion that to feel emotion is weakness. It is not. I give myself full permission to feel these thoughts and feelings and lean into them. You have this right too to feel every emotion and witness them in yourself. Today I’m back to baseline and ready to create, vibrate and go towards that what is seeking me. I give myself full patience to enjoy the process. Amigos con los que hoy día hablo a diario, y cuando no lo hago, los extraño. 🌹 Segundo: GRACIAS (también 🤣), pero por darle una oportunidad a Moneda: Metamorfosis, el comienzo, mi primer libro. Empecé de cero en julio del 2019, nadie me conocía, nunca había siquiera compartido mis escritos en #wattpad y de la nada me lancé a autopublicar. Sacar Moneda fue algo que me dio mucho miedo, y ustedes fueron quienes me fueron dando confianza. Yo creo que como escritor/a uno sabe lo que vale su obra, pero aun así uno necesita de lectores que se lo corroboren y no le hagan pensar que está loco/a 🤣. 🌹 Había una frase por ahí que me gustó mucho que decía algo así como el que tiene un libro en sus manos tiene también el sueño de alguien. Y es tan cierto. Todo artista es un soñador, alguien que aspira a algo y da lo mejor de sí para conseguirlo. Y es necesario que nosotros, como personas, valoremos esto. Es como con todo, chicxs. Respetemos los sueños de los demás, demos alas y ayudemos a crecer. Ya hay demasiada maldad y trabas en el mundo como para andar impidiendo el vuelo de otros. Si hay algo que valoro muchísimo de esta comunidad, además de los lectores y amigos, es a los autores independientes que conocí.
