NIKO UPDATE💜 As you can see, Niko basically has his own suite with our vet which we are so thankful that they took him in on such short notice. The wire bolts and stones have been removed from his stomach, he is receiving iv fluids, got a full blood panel, fecal test done, and some more x rays. He has been getting lots of food, eating all of it with no vomiting or diarrhea. He also managed to eat through 3 of his catheters and his metal bowls which explains more of how he ended up with all that stuff in his belly😬 But hey, Im pretty sure if i was starved like he was a wire bolt and a rock would taste like a freakin cheeseburger🤷🏼♀️ * He does have hip dysplasia which is not uncommon for a big dog his age and the severity of it lines up with the level of neglect he’s experienced throughout the 7 years of his life. We will explore various options of physical therapy for him moving forward. * Thank you SO much from the bottom of my heart to everyone who donated and shared his story🙏🏼 You all made it possible to give him the care he needs and set him up for nothing but the best in life from here on out🙏🏼💜 It is truly beautiful to see the impact he had on so many people who came together to support him and this rescue. #freedomforniko #bullyrescue #adoptdontshop - @underdogheroes_ on Instagram
