From Wikipedia: A Formal Disgrace was an American alternative emo outfit from Superior, Colorado. In 2006 they released their self-titled EP on MySpace, which infamously caused all residents of Superior and the neighboring town of Louisville to erupt in a flash flood of diarrhea due to an infrasonic frequency that caused anyone within earshot to lose control of their bowels (see ‘brown note’). It is estimated that more than 12,000 residents were affected. “We played our EP through the sound system in Andre Lepine’s dad’s home theater, which had this crazy loud subwoofer. I guess one of the notes in our song ‘Meow’ had some weird bass frequency in it, and when it hit all of us suddenly started making mud in our gym shorts. Had no band. Emailed everyone in the UK. @vic_henderson , @simonoblique and Paul Thomson came through in Glasgow . Quit Soho Grand Hotel in histrionic fashion, never coming back. Rehearse once or twice , play show in Glasgow but pipe burst over stage onto gear at sound check . Change venues last minute . Drive all night to Reading except flip van midway . Have no band again except @simonoblique who has 1 arm and 1 leg still functioning . Cancel Reading. Call @mattgalaxian in Leeds and make new band, we’ll be there tonight. bank holiday means no available vans to rent. Rent a mini bus instead . Pick up new band head to London for studio time . Band goes to Notting Hill fest while I set up studio. I wait 5 hours but they never come because the tires to the mini bus got slashed . @katemerrick78 does backing vox in lieu of instruments . Play show in London that night . I think we were amazing even tho sonically we were a disaster . Play Leeds fest at 11:45 am , break 2 strings . 30 years ago, my Grandmother took delivery of her very first Range Rover, a 1990 Beluga Black County shown above. I don’t think she would have ever thought that 30 years later, she’d be buying her 8th one. If she hadn’t taken a chance on the low-volume, obscure British SUV, I know I would not be accepting a job at Jaguar Land Rover Princeton as their Encore and Marketing Specialist, as I am today. It’s a start that I hope will lead to a long career with Jaguar Land Rover and possibly, one day, to JLR corporate. För jag får lära mig något varje dag. När jag började jobba som SOS-operatör hade vi snörbordet, nu Coordcom, såklart allt digitalt. Det är en ständig utveckling och jag får lära mig hur jag ska uttrycka mig till eleverna, jag ser framåt vad som ska komma när det gäller ny teknik. 🤔 Vad är det roligaste med jobbet? 🗨️ Det roligaste är mötet med mina blivande kollegor, att få lära känna folk. Det är så otroligt givande för mig, för alla är så olika. Eleverna som kommer till skolan har ofta en bild av vad de har sökt för jobb. De kan ha fått hur mycket information om jobbet som helst innan. Det är när de får det första 112-samtalet som de vet vad det verkligen handlar om. Det är roligt att se.
