More than 300,000 people in the streets witnessed the fall of Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic on 5 October 2000. The opposition had claimed victory in the September elections, but a Federal Election Commission called for a second ballot, claiming neither side had an outright majority. A general strike and mass protests followed. On 4 October 2000, Yugoslavias constitutional court annulled the election; by dawn the next day, people converged on Belgrade. By 4 pm protesters had captured the parliament building, and at 6.30 pm opposition leader Vojislav Kostunica addressed a rally of some half a million people and declared himself president. A me tremavano talmente tanto le gambe all’idea di conoscere Bruce Springsteen, che ricordo riuscii solo a dire “nice to meet you”. Il resto come sempre lo hai fatto tu, chiedendomi di portarti a mangiare il pesto più buono di tutta Genova. Na današnji dan 2013. godine Thompson je održao svoj drugi koncert na Poljudu! :) 50.000 ljudi je uživalo u velikom koncertnom spektaklu, velikoj produkciji i scenografiji. Bio je to tek drugi koncert turneje Ora et labora i veliki odaziv publike koja je uživala u trosatnom spektaklu gdje su se pjevale tada nove ali i one starije pjesme. Nestao je onaj žal za slobodnim parterom iz 2002. godine, gdje je onda 7.000 ljudi ostalo ispred kupole hajdukova stadiona. Obožavatelji Thompsonova lika i djela od ranog popodneva okupirali su stadion Poljud. Pristiglo je više od 50.000 ljudi iz svih krajeva Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine i cijelog svijeta, koncert je kasnio oko 45 minuta jer su obožavatelji još ulazili na stadion. Kao što je i bilo najavljivano koncert se odvijao u zaista impozantnoj produkciji. Postavljena je bina duga 60 metara, visoka 16 metara, s više od 359 kilovata zvuka, gotovo svaka pjesma je popraćena pirotehničkim efektima kako bi dala dodatni naboj. Posebne emocije kod publike izazvale se starije pjesme, ali i recital pjesme Maranatha, autora msgr. Ante Ivasa kojeg je recitirao Zlatko Vitez. I na kraju ćemo samo sa sjetom dodati da je na tom koncertu, u loži hrvatski vitez Zvonko Bušić dao svoj posljednji intervju za javnost.
